So frustrating I’ve had no text or nothing from them to say they’ve received it. I’ve just called them they said they still couldn’t locate it but the guy was great and said let me try something else. They found it logged under my name and not my child’s apparently which is why they couldn’t find it. Mine was scanned in on 24/12 the same day they received it he said it’s just waiting to go to a decision maker x

That’s a relief for you then. It’s good when you get to speak to someone that’s helpful and doesn’t just try and fob you off. Hopefully you haven’t got too long of a wait and get the outcome your little one deserves x

NC scan date 31/12 . Hoping it'll be a quick decision like some others I've seen on here

Congratulations! 🙌
I’m in the same boat you were (before your back payment today). Our daughter’s decision was made yesterday, but the man couldn’t confirm the outcome. Can I please ask, did you send in a lot of evidence with your claim? I wrote everything from our point of view as parents and wrote about the support she has in school, in different settings, in public etc but didn’t have reports from the school at that point so it’s all written from me.

Our SD is 02.12.2025 and decision made 05.01.2026.
Also, when you say you clicked option 4 on the phone, do you remember what they said that option was?

Hi, hope you dont mind me asking. Was your claim accepted? Our claim was also done from us as parents view. And the medical side of things but not much evidence submitted. Worried I havent included enough and should panic send in some. My DD is deaf so defo needs extra support than another child her age due to that

My NCs are 27/08 and the letter is just a generic letter. I wouldnt worry too much! Your scan date is fairly new and they are still working through december scan dates and theyre definitely not done in date order!

I can’t believe your still waiting it’s shocking!!

I’m sorry one of my daughters is 9 I do think she’s a little on the spectrum but not enough to put a claim in ect cause she don’t need extra care needs she is not up all night disrupting the house ect I seen what you put about her in a post(think it was you lol) they are taking the absolute mick!!! Feel for you man I’m just trying to put it all to the back of my brain sigh

Thank you for telling me that, it makes me feel like im not actually crazy and not all nine year olds are like that. Her 8 year old sister is up all night and she is quite similar but understands more. And their 6 year old sister is on the spectrum but does not have much care needs and sleeps all night. So i wont apply for her as she doesnt need it.
Yeah it probably was me, its awful she has no understanding of danger and has the mental age of a 4year old. Its bloody hard work and i know she deserves HRC. It has been evidenced by school, doctors, paediatrician, educational psychologist and speech and language. Just fed up of having to fight everything. But got my GP writing me a report, her disability worker and the health visitor doing me one now! So hoping that will be enough!
Im already going through one MR for a complete decline, sent of a range of evidence but having heard anything regarding hers. But i think if she is declined again im just going to do a NC.
Im very prepared that im probably going to have to fight for my twins too. But got a lot of evidence for them for both day and night time care needs. Just hoping i have enough as they deserve HRC too!
I try to do that but i have ADHD and cant stand waiting for things. You will have to let me know how you get on. Fingers crossed you get the decision you deserve. X

Unfortunately it was rejected (decision made this week on 5th). At first I was heartbroken, then the rage kicked in! 😆 Benn manically requesting things from school an they’ve been amazing this week! Just sent off new claim today, will not give up. Best of luck to you, remember regardless of the outcome, it’s not a reflection on you or your child, it’s the system not seeing your daily life and not translating your life into their legal tick boxes. Don’t give up if first time isn’t ideal. X

Hey does anyone know if new claims are going through quickly at the moments?

I have 2 disabled dc - eldest is asd, sen school, ehcp etc. didnt realise we could apply for dla and we were approved last year but the wait was incredibly long (mrc took 35 weeks for decison). I applied for my youngest dc end of november (29th) I've received a payment today from the dla (no letter but judging by the back pay it may be hrc, lrm). Youngest dc is on several medication, quite unwell and is in hosptial / on the two week pathway curently..I didnt think we had enough evidence for the youngest as my eldest had two ring bind folders of reports!

I've had a little cry in the loos today - I thought my youngest would be rejected (not sure why tbh she has required an ambulance & oxygen at least once a week for the past 16 months) it just hit me that my baby is poorly and needs support. 😢

Im so sorry to hear about everything your child is going through. No parent or child should have to endure the pain your all dealing with.
New claims are going through really quickly at the moment. So it makes sense yours has been done.
I am so happy for you and your child that your child is getting for they deserve. I hope it makes everything you are going through just a little bit easier.
Best of luck and i wish your child all the health and happiness they deserve! Xx

I think we all have a lot on and its super hard! But il keep fighting to get my children what they deserve, it just annoys me when i send all evidence to back up every point i make and its still not enough!
But i think you make a good point! Or ive just got someone not very nice!
Id call next week as evidence is always getting lost with them, its happened to me twice, so its best to just make sure!
Ive just got an extensive new report from speech therapy for the twins, detailing all their difficulties but dont want to send it as im scared its going to delay things further but then i think it could make a differemce in their claim xx

How can July mr's not being done when I'm seeing August/sept being done,

stacey0123 · 10/01/2026 12:48

NC rejected, have re applied from scratch with NC & more evidence. Have so far sent forms, snap iv paperwork & letter from teachers (to us as parents). Teachers are now filling in page 10 & 11 (the part that someone who knows child fills in.) I made this clear in the forms, that I would have additional evidence.
I don’t yet have a scan date, I don’t yet have the teachers extra evidence. If I send the extra pages, is it likely to delay our claim getting to a decision maker or will the claim proceed in the queue and the additional evidence will be added as the claim moves toward decision maker? (I did send the entire form but left pages 10 & 11 blank, except a short message explaining those pages would follow soon, then I printed out pages 10 & 11 again and gave them to school)
thank you guys! ❤️

Once sent to decision maker ours took exactly 4 weeks for a decision letter, another letter for the amount and a date I would recieve payment by all the same day.

Mine took exactly one week, from notifying them of the change to having my children re verified and a letter telling me how much back pay I was entitled too. I notified them on a Monday and the money was in my account the following Monday. I was extremely lucky as I know some people have had to wait weeks. I’ve just put in a claim for my other little one. So we’ll see how lucky I am with this one lol x

Mine was verified on a few days now just waiting for decision maker. It’s only been a week but I’m impatient. Plus we have a night In Manchester for my daughter to see her favourite YouTuber/singer next weekend and I’d love to be able to treat her.

I can’t help but feel anxious 😖 and hope that I had put everything in the form. I submitted all the documents I had except for the ED admission cause I lost the paperwork. We all want a favourable result so fingers crossed 🤞

I know how you feel, the longer i wait the longer i feel my twins will be declined. As long as you have the evidence to back up everything you've said you should be fine. Ive seen some people get awarded with little to no evidence. I think it all depends what dm you get! Hopefully you get the outcome your hoping for x

That’s the scary part. I see post with some people with little to no evidence and get approved, and others with plenty of evidence that don’t get approved. It maybe with how it was written that they managed to explain it properly to the assessor. Fingers crossed to al of us to get a favourable outcome.

I would deffo send it in even if it’s with the decision maker and they get it late they still take it into account and il give them a call tomorrow to check everything.
hopefully not much longer for you I feel like you are the one waiting the longest in here and everyone’s been sorted x
