Thank you all. She’s on the spectrum and still needs lots of personal and emotional care. Definitely more needs than any other child of her age.

My scan date was 4/12
Decison was 14/05
Mandatory reconsideration they received all evidence from school echp refferal and clinical partners waiting list due to them not thinking my daughter has neurological.
So now another 25 week wait or more

Has anyone had problems getting back payment for disability child element on your UC claim? I can’t get confirmation from UC that they’re going to pay us this.

I’m still waiting for them to verify my daughter who gets dla they have verified my other children this may be why because there going to be backdating it I dunno

Oh I see. I phoned up this morning and spoke to a guy on the phone and he sounded completely clueless about anything!

Hello. I’m new on here and have just sent my dla claim off for my daughter who’s 8 in July. She has been referred by the school SENCO and on the pathway to cahms who I’ve received a letter from last week. Possible Autism and adhd referral.
I have sent off the dla forms with the questionnaire that we filled out detailing her needs and the past now and present answers which also contains a brief description of her needs and personality.
also sent the latest IEP she has and the referral to cahms letter.
do you think this is enough evidence and how long are the waiting times I have been told 25 weeks from posts I have read.
also if she’s not yet diagnosed as I’m told it’s a long wait for an appointment will this go against her getting dla.

Can anyone help - I got renewal whuch was due 11/6 - usually get a Tuesday payment last one was 3rd
I then got a letter saying I would get first paid weds 18th then every ten days - has my payment date chsnged ?

My renewal just carried on as normal, I’m not sure why they would pay you every 10 days I’ve never heard that before.

Hi everyone my sons dla has stopped but I have put my renewal forms in done them very late as had family matters but does my sons child disability stop to on uc x

I would call them, they may accept your reason for late return and carry on with renewal, if not it will be treated as a new claim and uc elements and carers allowance if you are claiming that will stop.

Okay thank you my dla runs out tomorrow do I still get uc disability this month or does that end as well x

If you was to have Dla within your uc award period I would say you would still get it, it would be the same as when they first put it on uc and changed the award periods

Hi guys, not sure if this threads still open.. I applied for dla for my daughter she’s almost 2. She has missing fingers on her left hand (short thumb aswell) she is seen yearly under a very good surgeon. I didn’t send any documentation with her referral as they was mainly letters and it said no letters. How ever I’ve put her surgeons name , her gp ect on there. Will this affect it? I’ve seen a lot of people say without documentation they usually decline instantly. I phoned as the letter said 15 weeks but the lady said it’s up to 25 now however it doesn’t mean it’ll take that long they just have to give us a rough time incase. They received it on the 27th Feb.

Have you phoned today? Most of the new claim February dates have already had decisions made? I wonder if they may have contacted your daughter’s surgeon because that could cause a bit of a delay. There is a lot of people that have been awarded without evidence and people that have sent in loads of evidence and didn’t get awarded. No it was a couple of weeks ago I phoned she said it was still in the Que… maybe because it’s the end of February. That’s good to know! Thank you

Just received his first payment today. MRC and LRM.
Didn't expect a payment this fast. But will make a huge difference for my son, I've already put the money towards a private assessment for him. Good luck to all those still waiting.

Morning all
I wondered if anyone could help. My son has been re awarded for 2 years again, problem is I don’t think this is a long enough award would anyone appeal this for a longer amount, he has adhd, autism, being assessed for Tourette’s and ocd and has major speech and language problems. I’m grateful for 2 years but just don’t feel it’s a long enough claim. Will my claim stop and how does it work please x

My sons also got renewed for another 2 years, there seems to be a lot of people that only get 2 year awards when they first apply and their first renewal. I wouldn’t worry about it to much for now.

I have a letter to send my little ones birth certificate however the passport office have it and I’m not sure how long till I get it back does anyone know if there’s any other way to verify there dob
