Called to say I'm sending in extra evidence, said plenty of time still in the holding queue not assigned yet

MR, currently on 25 weeks + 4 days, so
tempted to call to see if it’s even with anyone but I’m just so sick of hearing the same things🙄 .

Yes I’m NC looks like we will be in for a very long by wait , there is a new thread it’s DLA wait times thread 71 not sure if you know ☺️

after a painful nearly 31 week wait for MR I finally heard but we’ve been declined so I’m appealing again. It’s just so frustrating because they have just bullet pointed positives from his EHCP like that he enjoys playing Fortnite, I don’t understand how that is relevant?

also a massive contradiction is he can walk to school but this is the only route he can do almost independently (still needs support) they have said he isn’t entitled to mobility because of this but they have sent me the law which says familiar routes must be disregarded.

If anyone has any tips for me they would be appreciated.

I'm so sorry Twinning. My tip would be to go to a voluntary organisation that helps you with the forms. Theres quite a few of them about. They go through them with you, go through your dc restrictions and know how to word the information so it fits their criteria. The information is the same but they are experienced in knowing how to deliver it. They will be able to help you formulate an appeal. Don't give up.

So sorry to hear this! Its disgusting that they make you wait that long just to decline your child!

I've just been awarded dla for my daughter i had a long wait but I'm currently on universal credit and get lwrca.
Do I need to inform universal credit and what will happen if I claim careras allowence and the disability part for my daughter.

I'm new to this sorry if I sound abit thick lol.

Omg, can’t even imagine how you must be feeling right now, I’m 23weeks in to MR and I’m not feeling confident at all even though I know he needs it! Good luck with your appeal, hopefully it will get over turned before it reaches court xx

im going through each point they have raised now it’s ridiculous. I’ve got EHCP, Occupational therapist report, SALT report, educational psychologist reports etc and they have picked out just odd positives and have totally ignored the professionals concerns. it’s so frustrating. I’m ready to take it all the way. Good luck to you!!❤️
