@Kirstylou91 100% agree we definitely have to fight. I've had it with my oldest took her to GP and everything 5 years ago and even they said ADD straight away put referral through for her, I got a letter from the group she was referred to and they basically said they need a letter from school. I asked school to write me a supportive letter even just to mention the struggles she has it school with work, making friends, concentration. And was just ignored even the place she was referred to by GP just ignored me without a letter school I begged for them just to come meet her and see for themselves. And here we are 5 years later her under mental health and is struggling really bad doesn't leave the house doesn't go out with friends can't even go into a shop and pick something as she's so overwhelmed etc. And I do blame the schools / system not supporting.

Everything is such a fight isn't it 😫

I ain’t ringing till Monday , no he’s not even been seen yet still awaiting assessment, he is really bad tho I have to physically restrain him numerous times a day to prevent harm, he has smashed numerous iPads bkus he’s lost a game etc broke 3 lcd TVs, he can’t regulate his emotions he really struggles so he has major meltdowns screaming hitting biting u literally cannot do owt with him , he losses his things on a daily basis he don’t like to was kus of the water that’s a big struggle getting him to have a bath / shower, going out is the worst people think naughty child when actually there just ignorant no ADHD , when shopping he jumps on the shelves makes towers with kitchen roll and runs into them shouts loud noises kus of the excitement then that’s it he’s off whizzing round , I have to constantly supervise him at all times kus he doesn’t understand dangers / risks and this is what I’ve put in my 9 page statement so if he does get declined I will be really shocked xx

I agree 100% it’s taken 3 years but as soon as he started a new school they noticed straight away xx

Yes that’s my son who’s just been denied. He’s 4. I’ve just asked for a statement of reasons she said I’ll receive them in the post xx

The school filled in part of the form, I sent in a 10 page statement, sleep diary, his ndt referral form, evidence of blue badge parking permit xx

i just called again and the man was like there is no need to be ringing your not even close to 25 weeks. It’s so annoying I wish I never found these groups and saw people being awarded from late Feb because it’s driving me mad!

then I say I won’t call but then I see people ringing up and getting decisions and it’s too tempting.

going to try my best to forget about this now and just wait on a letter before I drive myself even more crazy. Good luck everyone!

You know it’s like they refuse hope that you don’t do mr to save this government money. Never mind the costs to parent replacing things buying them things they need. Money on therapy the list is endless.

Yeah the report states he’s got adhd traits , can’t regulate his emotions , is physically violent to his peers, squirms in his seat , shouts out loud noises, has innatention and is impulsive, and has no sense of danger , theyve broke it down into sections , he also sees the schools ELSA xx

MR 7th of feb, im guessing I'll be waiting until august at least! The lady on the phone when I called said minimum of 25 weeks! It's only been 16 so far! I think my son should have got high rate care as his night needs are so intense! Hoping he gets awarded but so anxious in case it doesn't go in our favour xx

I can’t believe it’s taking nearly a year for decision then mr and still there no guarantee and might have to do tribunal.

I’m usually a silent watcher - NC 31/03 so a while to go yet.
I have sent DLA evidence of my 8 year old from his auntie who is a sen teacher (due to the school being shut as Easter half term)
The referral forms for ASD/ADHD - the confirmed that he will be accepted to be seen due to sufficient evidence received from GP/myself/school.
A message from school SenCo thanking me for sending the questionnaire into school (the school suggested he needs the referral)
I also sent copies of all questionnaires.
Is this enough or am I needing something else? This is all new to me and my family?

I'm so sorry you've been declined! Makes you wonder if they've read through the forms properly!
