MR - 03/12

Rang yesterday currently 24 weeks + 2 days to advise that I sent in new evidence and was worried that it might not be looked at in time as I’m so close to 25 weeks. Was told they are still working on mid November and I will be waiting minimum 27 weeks.

Lady was rude she asked why am I calling when it’s not been 25 weeks! I said to ensure u leave a note to look at new evidence.

wont be calling them again until after 27 weeks! Currently get HRC but my LO deserves HRM too!

I’m so sorry :( it is so frustrating to go through all this waiting only to be turned down!

Mum2allgirls · 22/05/2025 11:19

@VickieC86 so sorry 😔 are you doing a MR. So frustrating after waiting all this time aswell .

Ncheetham01 · 22/05/2025 11:20

Nc sd 1/4
I called yesterday to confirm they had forms as not heard anything. Was told all recieved. And the wait is at 25 weeks currently so looking at end of September.
I thinks it ridiculous all should be online by now would make soo much more sense and would be so much easier to track and add new evidence ect.
I will probably get over this one then back to it as middle son's renewal due in January.

clareykb · 22/05/2025 11:26

I kind of get that it might not be exactly in order - I have mentioned before I work in a job that is sort of related (as we assess needs.. not to do with DLA or PIP so have no inside info..sorry) and although I always finish assessments within the time we are given, some take longer than others depending on evidence and if it is a very clear cut and obvious decision or borderline and I work part time and sometimes have leave in so that impacts it a bit. I also know where I work- a decision would not immediately come through on a system (recommendation is made, checked by manager, finances set up and then put on the system) so I get that bit too that the information on the phone might not be the most up to date... The thing that does really bug me though is the telling people different things... they could be a bit more transparant there!

LB1988x · 22/05/2025 11:36

Positive post!

for anyone going through MR or appeal, please keep going!

we’ve been awarded HRM under SMI until 2036!! Our MR was unsuccessful, they tried to say that there’s was no severe impairment of intelligence with the most stupid reasons, so I lodged an appeal with an extremely detailed list of counter arguments for the DWPS decision on 09/03/2025, response date was 6th April, didn’t heard a thing. Called the tribunal help line yesterday who confirmed the appeal was lapsed on the 20th, to contact dla as benefit has been awarded. DWP confirmed this morning that decision is overturned!! Backpay and letter is on the way!

it’s awful that we have to fight daily for our children but don’t give up! X

Mum2allgirls · 22/05/2025 11:36

@clareykb I agree. I do believe if people was told right information it would definitely help people with anxiety etc. I have been told 3 different things. We all understand the wait times are long but I think when people get to 14/15 weeks like myself and haven't had any contact untill now a simple update ( and the truth ) would really help.
And how some of them speak to us so rudely

Kelz23 · 22/05/2025 11:51

Scan date 13/2 I’ve not heard nothing so far.

Catchmeifyoucam · 22/05/2025 12:08

Has anyone had a call from a decision maker and if so did they ring you off a mobile number or unknown?

Omg that’s amazing! I’m trying to get HRM for my daughter our MR date is 02/12, what sort of evidence did you provide as I’m still waiting for my child’s educational psychologist report but I’ll get a decision way before I get this report so it has me panicked a bit!x

Hi again, ladies. It's your old pal. Judge Judy's number one fan.
Haha. Love judge Judy

New claim. Scan date : 01/04. Still have a few decades to go!
Applied in Feb for little one who has a long term lifelong health disease.

What's everyone got planned for the half term?

Nc - 27/03
Mr - 25/04

In for a long wait for the MR, was hoping for a decision in the nc by end of July but probably looking like end of August

Im probably looking at August/September.

Hoping for before that however, so little girl has money for an excellent summer holidays.its not fun seeing her in pain hunched over on the floor and then collapsing on the sofa in recovery. Been through so much for a couple years and now we finally have that diagnosis. I'm scared we will get declined. Someone else said they child has a lifelong disease too but dla declined it twice. Hoping its not the case for us. And I hope they have it now too.

I'm a week after you 13/02 and I called up beginning of the week to add extra evidence, I didn't ask for an update, but whilst on the phone he said I'll give you an update whilst I'm waiting for the screen to load, then say ohh your looking at August so no need to worry, you've got plenty of time for evidence to be sent but it's good to call and let us know so we can make a note of what's coming on to the file, I think it honestly depends who picks up the phone to what we are told!

Blimey I'm hoping July for both you. Even June if possible. I think they're just so over loaded with forms. Last lady I spoke with said they're inundated with thousands upon thousands. She was very nice though but I felt rushed to get off the phone. Those decision makers need to work at bullet speed.

Judgejudysno1fan · 22/05/2025 12:34

Congratulations to LB1988
2036 IS EXCELLENT.
a real weight off your shoulders 💐

NC SD 08/01 mines been with a decision maker for 13 days now is this normal ? As I’m seeing people from feb getting awarded and mines just sat with a decision maker by the looks. Getting sooo fed up!! Xx

brc13 · 22/05/2025 13:04

6/5 COC
In Scotland so think it's could be a little different but I done a reconsideration after LO being awarded LRC in March and was told I would get a decision by May 22nd and to send any late evidence or changes but got a decision on 6/5 and they said they sent my form to COC because of the changes. So long wait ahead after already waiting 7 weeks. I even called and asked them when I got the decision in March, what form to send and they said redetermination form as it’s faster so bit of a pain with how long these wait times are🙈 I asked the guy on the phone how long I could be waiting and he said they don’t have a specific wait time on COC, could be a few weeks/could be months? Has anyone been told that it’s X amount of weeks?

Lou1830 · 22/05/2025 13:14

Hi
does anyone know when reapplying do they look at the old evidence you sent in, got the letter with diagnosis on and a bit about it as it’s a very rare condition, just wondering wether to send it again as evidence or wether they will still have it
thanks x

TashaxJ · 22/05/2025 13:17

Yes I’ve called a few times just called at 12:30 and was told still no decision had been made I asked what is the hold up have they contacted school or anyone and he said no 🤷🏻‍♀️ xx

Thankyou, I sent in my sons EHCP, and all reports relating to that, school prospectus, ofsted etc, an independent salt report, anything I thought was relevant I sent! I highly recommend checking out sendmummies over on instagram as they are very informative and provide a lot of useful information for dla. They actually helped me with my MR and appeal x
