I’m still waiting, MR 30/10 @Mummytoviboys how do you know if your classed as complex?

Oh wow, have you complained?
the case manager I spoke to told me, I have a lot to look through!
I originally applied when my son was 8months in 2023 he was declined, then the MR was declined, took to tribunal and declined due to age! Whilst waiting for tribunal my son was diagnosed with a new condition so I applied again whilst waiting for the tribunal! He was declined and now waiting for MR Decision. They have to look through it all again but now luckily I’ve managed to get a lot more evidence that I’ve sent in, he’s over 2 and got his severely partially sighted certificate (blind) so hoping that he gets accepted 🤞🤞

The lady told me at the moment there working on NC for December but we all know that can’t be true because there’s people from Jan on here that’s been awarded I’m not gunna call no more

I called only 2 weeks ago because I wanted to add more evidence and I wanted to know if I had time. The lady I spoke to said that nobody had looked at it yet but now I’ve got the decision letter so you might not have very long to wait 🤞

Aww fingers crossed for you. No I haven’t complained I’m trying to manifest patience will pay off 🤣 they don’t tell me much when I ring, it’s with a decision maker but this is the third week that I’m aware of.

I called today sd 3/2 guy told me mine hasn't been looked at yet and it's 25 weeks, however he said that the minimum time I will be waiting is an extra 5 weeks max 10..... I guess we all get told something different

Lion10 · 21/05/2025 19:50

Just realised, the wait is finally over for my second son getting accepted but I'll have to do it all over again in August for my oldest son's renewal 🤯 it never stops x

Ecgx · 21/05/2025 21:24

I am a MR which was processed 13/01 I came to look at one of these to see any updates as haven’t bothered thinking about it too much knowing it would take them forever, I can’t believe people on MR are still waiting from October! It’s ludicrous!
my original sd is 12/08/2024 so by the time I find out again from an mr looks like it will practically be a year!

Selblockh · 21/05/2025 21:26

@ByChirpy

Good luck :) you’re right - it never does stop. I’ve got three autistic children so I understand that feeling of always paperwork or something to sort out for one of them!

NC 06/02
Rang up for an update, claim is still in the waiting list and hasn't been passed on to a case worker yet, I don't know if this is the decision maker or a step before hand.

She did ask if we claim any other benefits which I haven't been asked before. So looks like we're still waiting and we're in a slow queue.

That’s what I’m confused with she said my claim is open I asked what she meant she said a decision hasn’t been made yet im sort of thinking it’s with a decision maker
for her to say that

There is a petition to try to stop the government removing special needs support for children in school. They seem to be planning to take away EHCPs in mainstream schools. I thought I would repost the petition link here as also relevant to many of our dc applying to DLA and I have signed it.
