Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court

scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision

original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update (0800) 121-4600

SD 11/7 new claim, really hoping to hear something soon, the first 15/16 weeks were a walk in the park but the anxiety has come in full force since😬 I've rang 4 times in the past 2 weeks, 2 times to discuss new evidence, as soon as I get through the words just come out as apple sauce penguin because of the anxiety I end up talking gibberish and the majority of the conversation ends up me just apologising for saying the wrong stuff😂

Kc1999x · 14/11/2024 05:35

Scan date 18/07 MR.

I rang every day this week and believe you me there getting rang today aswell telling me fibs 😂. ‘Apple sauce penguin ‘ lmao vampire diaries by any chance? 😂

NimbleQuail · 14/11/2024 06:38

I’ve also written in my MR if they need more info please just ask me rather than straight up decline as I’m still waiting for some reports but I can’t magic them up any quicker. It’s infuriating how it’s all paper based too and they’re making judgements on your child based on what you’ve written on a piece of paper.

kel342000 · 14/11/2024 06:47

So after being told yesterday a decision had been made on Monday but guy on the phone couldn't tell me what it was and still no text, woke up this morning to find a payment in my account. 😊
Forms were received by dla on 02/07 so has taken 19 weeks.

I'm presuming if I ring up today someone will be able to confirm what we've been awarded?

Emzi89 · 14/11/2024 07:08

SD 19/06 COC really anxious now as have rang to be told 20 weeks and it's now a little over 21.
I know they take a long time but....🤞🤞 to everyone waiting

Yes they will. If they say they cant tell you then ask to be put through to someone who can. Or you can try and work it out yourself. Congratulations on the award 😊

PollyH3 · 14/11/2024 07:14

I'm going to call up today and if not awarded yet (which I doubt it will be 8/7) I'm going to send in a sleep diary. I've looked back on my forms and what I put truly doesn't reflect what night times are like. I think by the time I got to writing about nights I'd put so much into writing about his daily care needs I'd lost the will to live. Good luck to everyone, fingers crossed for lots of awards today

I’m 26th June, told me I should have a decision yesterday now there saying Friday, if your nearly 21 weeks I’m certainly not getting my answer this week 😂!! Good luck 🤞

MrsW12 · 14/11/2024 07:18

Congratulations on the lovely back payments. Just me left at 21 weeks tomorrow 🤣 x

I definitely would because I’m sure hrc is based on night time needs send it in next day recorded If you can and mark as evidence urgent on envelope and hopefully they will scan quickly for you x

SD 11/7 I sent new evidence off Monday, it arrived 6:23 Tuesday and was scanned onto the system at dinner time on the Tuesday too, definitely not too late, I rang to ask if there was any update before sending it too just to make sure

Wow so after 21 LONG WEEKS exactly to the day 🙌

I woke up this morning to £1818 which works out my son has been awarded HRM on SMI rule... I'm absolutely over the moon as I know this is so hard to get 😫 😭
He already receives HRC

The one Day I don't call them and it must've been awarded yesterday, no text or calls.

I will await the letter to find out how long his award is for but this changes everything for him I'm absolutely made up 😭🙏🙌🫶

COC SD 19/06
My son is 5yo and conditions are below for anyone that has similar.

•Diagnosis ASD Pre verbal
•Sensory processing Disorder (SPD)
•PICA
•Congenital heart defect (TOF)
•Global developmental delay (GDD)
•Esotropia Right eye (squint) with some loss of vision.

So much support here in this group you have kept me going ❤️

I am so so pleased for you. Wonderful news. I hope so. I really do. I keep reading the school report over and over! And it mainly mentions how she needs regular adult check ins to keep her safe as she will wonder off and will also flood the toilets by playing with water. Also that she doesn’t listen and can’t stay focused. I don’t know if this is enough though 😫 x

Wonderful news. So pleased for you. We are hoping for the same with the HRM. You’ve given me a little hope. My son has autism, sensory processing disorder, on waiting list for ADHD assessment.
