SD 1/07. Rang yesterday and no decision, was told that if I don’t hear by Monday then to call 😩

MR 23/7. I don’t think I can be bothered to call up for the statement of reasons now. I remembered the main ones. I guess I could but I’m full of overwhelm and I just don’t have capacity I don’t think.

Apologies if I’m missed it. Did you get an outcome on your MR? A decision maker told me yesterday they were working on 19th June dates for MRs.

No not yet, they never sent me a statement of reasons though despite me phoning and asking three times. Idiots.

Oh ok thanks. Is it not the reasons listed on decision letter? Hopefully it is in the post, no reason as to why they can’t send it.

SKB12 · 13/11/2024 19:55

Hope tomorrow brings some more good news regarding awards. Helps to see when peoples waits have paid off. Even when we feel like throwing in the towel with it I remind myself we are our kids voices and if not us then who else would fight for them.

No they didn’t provide a statement of reasons and it was back in July so def not in the post! I saw on the fb group a MR from mid June awarded so that gives me another five weeks until I’m at that point. I wish I could just forget about it as I’m sure it’ll be a decline. I don’t understand how things can be so different ie some people saying they sent no evidence yet some sending loads and still getting a no 🥴

baublewobble · 13/11/2024 20:01

I had to call to ask for a renewal form and only received it with about 10 weeks before claim was up. I have sent back, they should have received by Monday but the claim is up on the 9th January, which is only 8 weeks away. I haven't heard anything though. First post states renewals take 15-20 weeks. Why do they send the forms out so late if that's the case> What will happen? Do they just stop all her money etc. I am absolutely terrified now :( I have all new IDP, SALT report, camhs letter, One Page Profile, OT report etc so will be a lot to go through.

Red1936 · 13/11/2024 20:04

SD 10/07 new claim.

Zimcat80 · 13/11/2024 20:06

S/D is 15/07 new claim. I really hope I hear soon as it's my last day at work tomorrow as finding it too hard juggling work, medical needs tutoring etc.

SD 31/07 New Claim 🙏

Hanacrusis · 13/11/2024 21:01

Been lurking for a while, but it seems like it might be time to get involved.

Scan dates 12/7 and 15/7 both new claims (and another form on my coffee table that for new claim number 3 which is just filling me with dread at the thought of starting all over again). Not yet with the decision maker if that ever means anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

SD for DD14, suspected ASD,emetophobia,ADHD/Anxiety and EBSA. 13/9

SD for DD10 suspected ADHD, EBSA and anxiety 28/10

don’t expect to hear until Jan/Feb25 🥲

DD10 has been granted some tuition from our LA medical needs team so that’s something I guess! Waiting on a questionnaire from school then I can book her ADHD assessment. It is only a tick box form so hoping it won’t take them too long!

Wow, I would ask to speak to a manager and question why it hasn’t been sent. That sounds about right according to what the DM said yesterday. Disappointing that they are so behind and why this wasn’t tackled when the wait went up by 14 weeks. I think it’s to do with the info contains. Someone could send a stack of papers with nothing much relevant to their claim and others could send in much less that pretty much sums up the basis of their claim. I send in whatever I’ve got nothing to be lost if they don’t think it’s relevant 🥴

The tick box doesn’t take long but the wait for the assessment is huge, first they will look at the questionnaire to decide if they will accept the referral. My son is waiting for his. We received a lettwr to say our son had been accepted but that there was a long wait
