MR for TC severely disabled child tax credit back pay declined (Same as child disabled element of UC just different title under TC)

Theyre standing by the excuse i didnt inform them within 30 days of the award. I had just been made to migrate over but did everything right with UC and fought them for months because I didnt know i had to make a change of circumstance to a closed claim 😩

i dont have the fight for tribunal. My original DLA scan date is 28/04/2023. Im ending that journey here so i have some peace before renewal in a few months.

I just hope anyone on the thread can learn from mine and please inform both UC and TC when you get your award if youve migrated during the wait times.

Hi all
spoke to someone regarding my eldest sons award (LRC no mobility) ADHD. I said can I do a MR she said no need just sent additional evidence - if it’s within 2 weeks of decision the DM will look into it and make any changes to award accordingly!
still waiting for youngest 13-03

Mini update , I called to make sure they got the new/extra evidence ( they have ) and was also informed that atm MR from late May to early June won’t see a DM until end of August to mid September unless something is confirmed to be a high priority ( my mr was 7th June ) … think it’s his way to basically tell me don’t bother to pester until end of Aug for updates lol 😂… sorry but im called every 3-4 weeks lol

Waited all day, just called and got "it's with a decision maker". It's been with a decision maker for weeks and was put as priority a week ago on Friday. I keep being told a decision is imminent.
Anyone else feel like they just tell you what they think you want to hear just to get rid of you?
Having a really stressful and exhausting few days with extra meltdowns off all 3 of my SEN children, and this wait is just adding to me feeling stressed and deflated.

Sd 2/4 I broke today and called, I know I'm living in dream land but I just wanted to hear it from them. No decision yet and I wil get a letter by 20 weeks 🤦‍♀️

It’s awful hun I’m in the same position been with DM since 21/06 😭 we’re nearly there!! Good luck xx p

20 weeks we've got a long way to go then!

My youngest already gets dla and his letters always come a couple of weeks after the decision so I'm hoping it will mean a decision at 17-18 weeks. Still a ways to go tho

Not yet hun ive heard nothing. Im the same hun ive had to call and book an emergency appointment with the pediatrician her melt downs are rapidly getting worse. I cant watch her punch herself in the face anymore xx

My sd is also 2/04 too. Ive not called at all yet to ask for any updates or time scale as too scared/nervous haha. Im such an overthinker that i think iff i call to ask that ill be declined 🤦🏻‍♀️

I promised myself I'd wait until 15 weeks but I'm the same I sat driving myself mad this afternoon and gave in. My stomach was in knots while she was looking I'm not ringing again, I've waited this long I can wait a few more weeks

They literally tell you anything to get you off the phone, I wouldn't be calling everyday it's enough to drive you mad. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow since scan date and have called once to ensure extra evidence was scanned on, sent over more today so will probably call end of the week/next to see if that's arrived and scanned on. When I called last time I was told update was 20 weeks, but could be 15 but could also be before that. I don't think they have any type of way or order they look at them and it's just a ot gets done when it gets done even with priorities as seen some still have to wait 2/3 weeks 🤔

What number are you guys using to call for updates? I’ve only used the one on letters (0800 121 4600) but I think I saw on here before that there’s another number and I’m hoping I might get a bit more info if I try a different route as last week they told me we were with a DM and should hear within the week but then when I called today they said they can’t confirm if it’s with one or not and just kept repeating that the case is ‘open’. I’m so stressed with everything going on anyway and fed up of them all saying different things every time I call! The lady today even called the operator I spoke to last week a liar!! Not exactly professional is it.
