How do I know when it's with a UC DM? The elements have been added to my UC put not heard anything about the backdate and it's been 5 weeks nearly xx

Have you requested back pay? It’s not automatic. You have to ask for the elements to be backdated and then the case manager will tell you it’s gone to the DM.

My disabled element has been added to my claim but when i ask about back dated payment they just tell me theress no time scales and when its been verified they will issue under payment x

Hi just a quick one about uc does anyone know how long it will be for the uc disability element backdate to paid when it goes to a dm x

My beautiful son is 8. He has autism spectrum disorder. He wees and poos in his bedroom. Smears. Hides it, you name it he’s done it with his poo and wee. Three carpets so far , now no carpet again and it’s going through the floor boards 😭 have tried my best to deal with it all but the whole lot needs replacing now. New floor borders and vinyl flooring this time.I’m so desperate for this…. He’s desperate for this. Can’t afford this. This is just a snippet of why we need this 🤗 I feel your pain and am sending you a hug and I hope you have an answer by now. I think I’m calling on Tuesday. 🤞

My son does this too with the soiling, he's nearly 14. He has tics, anxiety and depressive disorder, been put forward to panel for autism with pda and waiting to see speech and language as he has no understanding of emotions, feelings ect.

I rang Thursday for an update and they said it was at the top of the holding pile and should go to dm either Thurs or Fri or this coming week, just keeping fingers crossed it's soon as like yourself the costs are rediclious, I have to food shop for the month then replace things 2 or 3 times so I end up spending 500 pounds plus on just food then there's clothes, bedding, decorating ect so I really do see where you're coming from

26th may a letter from dla because I forgot to add my nationality and relationship to child so sent that form off
today iv had a phone call asking about my sons sleeping and how it effects which atm he is on melatonin so it’s not as bad as it once was I told them all this and he has told me I will hear something in 48 hours?
now am worried it’s going be a no because it’s only been 8/9 weeks but if it’s good news am not complaining because I know a lot have been waiting much longer, so can anyone shed any light on the call and will o get a decisions this soon or will it still be a further 8-9 weeks x

Scan date of 17/04, I’ve been lurking on these for a while and feel like our time is getting closer, so nervous and scared, but hoping we can make life a little better and safer for our little boy with ASD if he’s rewarded this! He’s already got a blue badge and has had it for months now so in my head if he’s entitled to that surely he will be entitled to DLA

Called 22/07 and they said awaiting a National Insurance number .. I am on child benefit since DS was born (3years old now ) however when I check Hmrc child benefit online it says I don’t have a claim . When i call child benefit they can see my claim on their side too and I receive my CB payments but it’s just not on the online service .. is there anyone that’s had this or similar situation? Does anyone know how long it will take DLA to allocate a National insurance number for him ? And does this mean that my claim is going to be longer than the estimated time ?

I’m having a nightmare with uc. They’ve added carers but I’m still waiting for verification! It’s really annoying me now!

@Holly3020 Give them a ring to ask for an update and tell them how long you have been waiting, once mine was escalated someone rang the next day to verify everything, a week after they verified details i asked for an update as i was still waiting, someone rang 2 days later and sorted it all out. All together i waited a month for UC to be sorted.

Scan date 15/4

Not long after sending the forms, I got a letter saying 15 weeks so I called them this afternoon - amazingly wasn't on hold at all, they answered straight away once I'd got through the options - but they said no decision yet and to call again after 20 weeks. The woman was quite nice to be fair.

20 weeks seems a ridiculously long time to wait but I know lots of people have had to wait even longer so I guess I'll just have to be patient!

Got told this morning it's with a decision maker does anyone know roughy how long that can take?

My child's just been awarded, their claim was with the decision maker the 18th of this month and award text recieved the 30th. I was told once they have it then they usually take 10-14 days but could be sooner, mine was 10 days if you count the Saturdays as some was working overtime

SD 02/04/24
30/07/24 -Phoned Dla and was told Claim with DM
31/07/24 -DM phoned me and asked couple questions i missed and told me on phone that my son was getting Awarded
01/08/24 - i called to find out what rate my son was awarded - he got HRC awarded for 2years from feb2024 untill feb 2026

went to DM at 17weeks and decision was made at 17weeks 1day .

Hi, I received back payment yesterday, does anyone know if that includes my payment for this month aswell? So I will next be paid 4 weeks from yesterday? Thanks x

I've been trying to figure this aswell, on your award letter it will tell you the day you're paid either Tuesday or Wednesday then it will tell you when the backpay covers, your next pay from what I can gather and been told on here is 4 weeks from that day.

For example my days a Wednesday, backpay was from 19th Feb to 30th July, so I'm taking it as 4 weeks would start the next day the 31st as that's a Wednesday so I'm thinking next payments going to be either the 21st or 28th of this month, leaning more to the 28th though but it'll come when it does then I can look at the 4 weeks from then. Only reason I think could be the 21st is I'm not sure if the 31st would be the next week for the 4 weeks if that makes sense so if it is and the 31st is the 1st week it would take me to the 21st 3 weeks later, if it wasnt then the 4 weeks would be the 28th as this would be the 1st week from last payment
