Hello-

Not DLA related but unsure where to post.
Just recieved a report from paeds from my boys 1st appointment. It states that he will be refered for a speech and language assessment regarding social communication and interaction along the autism pathway. My LB goes to SALT already will this be a different therapist?
I dont have a clue.

Just rang again it’s with a dm but no award yet , he said should hear within the next two weeks , how long does it usually go when with dm ?

I’m afraid the first fight and wait is with Dla and that does not really improve once you need to back date universal credit 😣..the wait continues again for universal credit 🙄

On another thread it appears MRs are now working past my scan date. I've had no money in my account so looks like my MR has been rejected. Can't bring myself to call either so I'll just wait for the MR notice in the post and brace myself for further fight at a tribunal. I could cry.

It will be a speech therapist that works with them while they gather everything ready for the meeting they have to discuss if child as autism or not,, camhs organised it all for my boys autism assessment they rang me once it had taken place to discuss what was said. Hope this helps

Update I applied for MR and refused to call because I've been so anxious.. finally plucked up the courage and my little boy has only been awarded HRC!! Will be backdated from September (I thought it was October) I burst out crying down the phone to the man giving me the news the poor guy didn't know what to say!

Mine was too I called yesterday at 1.20pm and was still in a queue and after seeing that date today for others I thought no harm in another phone call and he was awarded I didn’t ask when I think this morning

@Murphy47 i think the timescales for MR are slightly different and possibly a bit quicker than initial claims , from what I've gathered from this and MR threads.. fingers crossed not much longer for you 🤞🏻

I did this both times and within 24 hours got my letters and got back pay within 3 days. Don’t be afraid of complaining. It shouldn’t take that long to sort.

if you only get one letter, reply in the journal asking when the back pay will be and how much. It is the case manager/work coaches that works out the back pay and processes payment.

Hi all good news 😃 a lovely lady phoned me up at about 16:00 from dla and asked me a couple of questions and then told me , my little boy has been awarded mrc and lrm I’m so happy and relieved , I hope there’s lots more rewards this week , good luck to everyone still waiting Xx❤️🤞s/d 20/3 new claim x

I have just received letters stating that have agreed to pay the back pay, but it doesn't say how much or when.

Do you know if i'll
receive another letter or just a payment into my bank?

The first time yes. The second time no. I just got a note on the journal after i got my two letters stating id complained and asking if i felt DWP had rectified the issue. The complaint goes to DWP and they tell UC to get a move on 😂

Congrats on awards 😊. I finally heard back from UC, everything has now been verified and agreed, now someone just needs to check everything and issue payment but apparently theres no time scale for backpay, so another wait but at least it has all been agreed.

Ive put a complaint in this morning thru the link you posted, so will i hear something within the next 24 hrs?x

I dont want to say for certain and get your hopes too high, but i did it for both claims for my daughters and i heard less than 24 hours later on both, the claims were months apart. I hope the same happens for you. Keep me updated? Wishing you all the luck you hear tomorrow! 🤞🏻
