Time for a new thread ready for another week of waiting.
Hopefully lots of us get the results we're so desperately awaiting 🤞🏻❤

Scan date 2-4. 15 weeks on Tuesday coming if I’m correct. I called up two weeks ago and was told I should expect to hear back early august. I’m actually getting desperate. He needs whose whole floor boreds and carpet replacing, his mattress replacing again. The wait is crippling us …

I'd tale what you read on Facebook with a pinch of salt

Herecomestheson0106 · 14/07/2024 19:37

Has anyone any advice on how to just take your mind off the decision😂

asking as it's all I can think about, I've mentally spent my MR back pay on a washing machine to go in our old brick shed/outdoor loo so I can wash all my son's things separately as it's too much hard work along with the rest of the washing. I throw so much away because it's just less hassle. DLA would make life so much easier but I'm trying to tell myself I can't miss what i never had.. not that it helps!!

Guessing I have a long wait a bit nervous as my daughter is only 2 and half and know it's hard to get support 😕 but she really needs it

Yeah you probably shouldn't think of ways to spend it before you've been awarded it, wouldn't want to be upset if it's declined again then it'd be tribunal if you decide...at the mo I'm just of the mindset it's a decline and a mr then if he gets awarded then its a massive bonus. Like you said you can't miss what you never had.

It's hard especially now I'm 15 weeks tomorrow but just got to keep thinking they'll get to it when they get to it, I'll know when I know and there's no amount of stressing that's going to change that.

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, I rang last week as needed to make sure evidence was there as was a mess up with tracking and was told theyre going to dm at 15 weeks and taking around a week so if not heard anything by end of the month to call back...but you can't really trust what they say.

With you on the broken things though, just in one day last weekend I've had doors ripped off the hinges, holes in walls, drawing over walls, clothes ripped up, bedding ripped up and wardrobe and blinds pulled down...

I know, I'm annoyed at myself but it's the reason I applied in the first place so it's hard to not have hope for something that will make life easier, especially on the bad days.

i was 15 weeks on Thursday just gone, I saw on another thread someone who was two days ahead of me had their MR claim accepted on the 11th so I'm hoping for a decision soon but my gut feeling is that we'll be heading for a tribunal.

zoeybrooks45 · 15/07/2024 10:30

I just recieved my 4th letter stating the wait is 15 weeks and they are looking in to it. I never recieved this many letters last time. Maybe system error

MrsMacmumto6 · 15/07/2024 10:55

They really need to start updating the waiting times it should now say minimum of 18-20 weeks not ‘up to’ as it gives people the impression it will be done before then. I’m 20/3 rang up Friday to see if additional information had been scanned then asked very nicely to check it would be put into my file before it reached a DM and apparently it would as it was in a holding queue to go to DM, it was much busier than this last year and we waited 22 weeks for a decision (different child) I’m not going to call again now until end of July - beginning of August if I’ve not had a decision by 19-20 weeks

Princess23 · 15/07/2024 11:14

Bev1313 · 15/07/2024 12:37

Thank you

Holly3020 · 15/07/2024 14:58

Hello a quick one about UC. Does anybody know how long it takes them to back pay carers and disabled element on universal credit? They’ve told me it has to be verified before going to a decision maker. Thank you!

Tiny1994 · 15/07/2024 14:58

Phoned up mine went to DM this morning

Mumof2girls96 · 15/07/2024 15:01

SD 21.03 COC
rang today to check on the progress and she’s been awarded mcr and lmr! They said COC’s are a bit faster than new claims but this still took a while lol. Does anyone have a rough idea of time frames with how long it takes to clear please?

NimbleQuail · 15/07/2024 15:27

Decline for us. One of the reasons being that she can attend school for half a day despite me sending evidence that she hasn’t attended for a full week in over a year, hasn’t attended at all since January and now has medical provision for education via the LA. They’ve literally said a load of rubbish and gone on about how her dizziness is managed when that’s only one of many symptoms. Ffs.
