How is everyone?

This week has been hectic, I feel like I am going to meet myself coming back IYSWIM, Grin

But ds had first visit to 'big school' left there for 45 mins with portage teacher. and did brill!

Also music sessions are going really well.

and my best friend is moving 2 mins walk away from me, (rather than 25 mins drive, hurrah!!!! )

I am on the Wine althou it is white not red.

and I have decided to loose a stone by the time ds goes to school. (yeah I know thats a really wimpy target, but there are a lot of stones to loose Blush and I want something that feels do-able and not another burden.)

I want a hop, skip and jump

Kept the A&E trauma quiet from everyone really. Even my RL friends. Just another thing to add to the nightmare that is the last year. Still not better unfortunately as is looking like big op required :(. Just run out of sick pay after 6 months so now about to claim ESA at a huge £67 a week Shock.

Ellen I'm already getting concerned about a 1 night residential trip at our local adventure centre which is in October, let alone a week and it is literally 2 miles away Grin. You are brave Smile

SauvignonBlanche · 13/05/2011 19:23

He is just about to turn 14.
The first trip away at primary school I was a gibbering wreck!
He's been away with the High school a few times now - it does get easier. Grin

I've been putting off our extension for years, still haven't plucked up courage.

Glad you've found us, leiela. Have some of sign's choc cake and Wine

Ben10isthespawnofthedevil · 13/05/2011 19:27

leiela

I didn't choose to have autism. Remember that it's happening to me, not you.

This is the bit that has made me fill up.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 19:27

Have I told you about DS's first residential for 4 nights with his early years special school?

He. Was. Four.

FOUR?!?!?!!? Shock Okay. I would have to be sedated. DS2 is four and I barely get through the school day some days....... Blush

auntevil · 13/05/2011 19:30

Ben - hope the breathing is back to normal and rectified.
Smug - no caffeine?! Shock - i would end up fizzing into oblivion like the switch in the wizard of Oz if i gave that up. I can't work out whether it is brave or certifiable Grin
Interesting week here. DS1 had an assessment with OT cancelled after a 9 month wait - i was told on the day Angry . After playing telephone tag, seems they have decided to do a sensory integration OT assessment instead - which could be more beneficial.
We have decided to go private with DS3 to sort out his swallowing/feeding/gastro issues. Things are now a moving. You never know, he might even start school being potty trained and eating food Hmm
Had a Brew Brew with the lovely ninjagoose today Smile - so here's a Brew Wine chocolate Biscuit or whatever you fancy to everyone else. Smug, no idea what to offer Grin

DS was 5 when he went first time

auntevil · 13/05/2011 19:34

Sorry Ben, i went to break up a fight (kids) - came back and there had been another 10 posts. Hope things pick up for you though

Ben10isthespawnofthedevil · 13/05/2011 19:34

Anyone in Kent ?

Triggles · 13/05/2011 19:35

auntevil I would be livid over the OT cancellation. We're still on the wretched waiting list, with no idea how long it'll be. And since they (medical personnel) keep saying how lots of DS2's issue really hang on sensory problems and he really needs the OT if he's to have any chance of getting some skills going and getting past the sensory issues, it just makes me want to scream!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 19:36

It's never just one thing at a time, is it, auntevil? How could anyone think cancelling an appt last minute after a 9 month wait is reasonable?

Smug, haven't given up sex then?

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 19:37

I met up with Triggles.

Triggles · 13/05/2011 19:37

sex? what's that? Grin

signandsmile · 13/05/2011 19:37

Humph!

OP posts:
auntevil · 13/05/2011 19:38

It did take me a week to get to the bottom of the OT debacle - and i was seething during that week. But as long as they don't make us wait another 9 months for this, it could be of more use to us.

signandsmile · 13/05/2011 19:38

ah... the humph for meeting up not the sex Blush Grin

OP posts:
Triggles · 13/05/2011 19:38

pmsl... well now... my smart arse response about sex comes right after EllenJane talks about meeting up with me....

that didn't time very well.... Hmm Grin

intothewest · 13/05/2011 19:39
