How is everyone?

This week has been hectic, I feel like I am going to meet myself coming back IYSWIM, Grin

But ds had first visit to 'big school' left there for 45 mins with portage teacher. and did brill!

Also music sessions are going really well.

and my best friend is moving 2 mins walk away from me, (rather than 25 mins drive, hurrah!!!! )

I am on the Wine althou it is white not red.

and I have decided to loose a stone by the time ds goes to school. (yeah I know thats a really wimpy target, but there are a lot of stones to loose Blush and I want something that feels do-able and not another burden.)

clubpenguin.wikia.com/wiki/Puffle

that's what I've found.. is that it?

Triggles · 13/05/2011 22:40

oh. Yeah, he's still on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mr Tumble. Although he also likes Green Balloon Club. He recognises Ben10 only because our grandson likes it, but he pretty much ignores it (for which I'm quite happy).

creatovator · 13/05/2011 22:41

Puffle is club penguin round toy thing with some code for computer to join club. My DD didn't want to do computer thing, just wanted puffle. She saved up to buy it herself, so was happy for her to do that. Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:42

Club penguin is a avatar stylee game with safe chat for kids. Very popular with 6 and 7 year olds.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 13/05/2011 22:42

night into.

kids her are all going for a red streak in the fringe, dd2 wants hers done, I've been mean and said no as she's quite fair and will stand out a lot more on her than her darker friends

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:43

DS3 has one in every colour, including pink. He's very secure in his own sexuality, obviously.

creatovator · 13/05/2011 22:43

Talking of age things - my DS still likes baby type progs on TV. Likes age related stuff too. Bit concerned about babyish stuff. anyone else find that?

Triggles · 13/05/2011 22:45

they're cute... DS is still clueless about club penguin. He still enjoys and watches the Something Special Christmas Programme we recorded on the tv box. LOL And lots of Disney Jr (used to be playhouse disney until recently). Probably because 1yo likes it too.

Oh goodness.... I'm starting to nod off.... sugar crash - all that chocolate! Grin

Hope you all have a good weekend - I'm going to try to read for a couple minutes and then probably fall asleep with the book on my face and have an embarrassing book crease on my forehead tomorrow. Such is my style. Grin

Goodnight!!!!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:45

That's puffles, not coloured hair streaks! How old is DD2, ninja? Night.

creatovator · 13/05/2011 22:45

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:47

creatovator · 13/05/2011 22:48

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:48

Intothewest, GO TO BED!

woofie · 13/05/2011 22:51

Hi everyone, haven't ventures onto a Friday night thread before... Hope you've all managed a Wine or at least a Brew.

ben10- I hope you manage to get to the bottom of the loss of breath soon-sounds horrible.

ellen- sounds like your ds2 has been brilliant about his exams Smile

Our news this week is that ds1 won't be getting an AS diagnosis. They had the multidisciplinary team meeting on Monday and it was felt that while he displays traits, overall the presentation is too mild, since they observed him in some socially appropriate interactions, turntaking etc at school ( as well as a bit of licking of other kids' coats when he thought nobody was looking Grin) I feel pretty conflicted- dh and I were fairly sure he would get a diagnosis, and had sort of started using it to explain his odder behaviours to ourselves. Without wanting to sound like I have munchausens by proxy, I am still convinced he has AS, but it's masked by his ability to watch and copy what other children do. Anyway the paed was very nice and said it didn't rule out a diagnosis in the future if his behaviour/ wellbeing/ socialisation deteriorated. On the other hand, he doesn't have much in the way of disernible 'problems' at the moment, so what resources for early intervention there are could be better used or other children with greater need. So [happy] and a bit Sad and Confused

So I'm officially an interloper on these boards now! thanks for the v helpful words of advice over the last few weeks. It's a case of watch and wait from here on Wine

woofie · 13/05/2011 22:52

And sorry, that was way too long for Friday night chat. Just wanted to say thanks and will probably still lurk about of that's ok x

woofie · 13/05/2011 22:53

And you've all gone to bed while I've been typing! Blush Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 22:56

Woofie, most of us have gone to bed!

Please don't feel you have to have a DX to come and post here. People wait ages sometimes and those DC (and their parents) who are borderline can sometimes have it tough. We are very inclusive!!

woofie · 13/05/2011 22:58

Thanks ellen Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 13/05/2011 23:00

of course you're welcome here woofie Smile sorry it's been an up and down week.

ellen, dd2 is 12, she doesn't get why I won't tlet her Hmm

well, I'm off to bed ladies, it's been a lovely evening Smile night all

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/05/2011 23:03

Hmm Smile

Triggles · 14/05/2011 07:05

woofie - no dx needed to hang out here - if that were the case half of us wouldn't be here - DS2 has no firm diagnosis, only a bit of a working one, as it were. Paed doesn't want to dx until he is older and she can get a better picture as to where he is at. Generally, I go along with the theory that if the mum says something is not quite right, she's probably right. You don't sound munchausen by proxy...sad that I even know what that means...but I know how you feel, as sometimes I've worried the medical personnel will think that as I used to think "oh he's not really got these issues, we're going to take him in and they'll say he's just boisterous and badly behaved and that I'm pushing medical conditions on him or something" Blush Not sure if that's denial or what, as I was more shocked when they said there was definitely something going on, but it was a combination of a couple different things. On one hand, you're relieved they don't think you're making it up (because let's face it, some days you think "is it really or am I just a rotten parent?") and yet I was Sad because there really IS something going on... Confused

how old is your DS? when they're younger, it seems the differences are not as obvious, but as they get older I understand there is a much more marked difference between them and the NT children at school, IYSWIM. It may just take a bit longer for things to present themselves. Perhaps the paed is waiting to see how he develops a bit longer?
