Well done @Blondeshavemorefun on your loss. I know what you mean about a waste of syns - I had a burger the other days and it was good, but it wasn't 16 syns good and was annoyed I didn't just make a more sw friendly version!

Full of cold (possible covid coming I think - negative lft today but fully expecting a positive tomorrow so lying low) so not massively hungry - every cloud and all that Grin.

B: egg on toast 0.5 HEB with spinach and lots of coffee with milk HEA
L: 1 Ryvita 0.5 HEB with soft cheese 2 and marmite and lots of crudités whilst making speed soup for the weekend

D: chicken massaman curry 12 (bloody food order substituted my light coconut milk with full fat) with rice and broccoli + ff yogurt with blueberries and honey 1
Snacks: banana, crab sticks and more crudités

lechatnoir · 18/03/2022 16:19

@LeftyLou never had turkey rashers are they a decent bacon alternative? I tend to get lean back and trim the fat off but you end up with such a small piece Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2022 19:38

I have been coughing sniffly etc the past week

Lf and pcr

And turns out I have

The common cold

Hello!
I've been trying to lose the same 10lbs for ages, and I really want to get to target now.

Today was weigh day. I lost 1lb.

Coffee, hifi bar

Lean bacon, egg fried in fry light, 1 slice of toast, butter (2), cherry tomatoes, coffee.

Popcorn (3)

More coffee.

Mozzarella, tomato and rocket salad (4 for oil)

Hifi bar (3) tea

I also ate some apple, and drank some water.

Syns: 12.

I hope this will help me to keep track!
Good luck everyone

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 19/03/2022 13:57

Welcome @Wallabyone.

It was a half a pound gain this week, sigh. Need to get my head in the game Im finding it hard to stick to plan at the moment. Anyway today has been good!

B....FF greek yogurt, deliciously Ella muesli on top for hex b. Blueberries and pear.

Snack... out for coffee with family. Decaff latte and a fruit salad. In the sun woohoo!

L... homemade minestrone soup I made loads a few days ago. Absolutely delicious.

D... planning the Sicilian pea pasta (minus the peas lol) from the fast and free SW book, it's on the front cover.

Saving all my syns for wine tonight!

lechatnoir · 19/03/2022 14:32

Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying the sun. Made an absolutely delicious recipe I found on the NHS Better Health website (worth looking up anyway for some great SW friendly meal ideas)
www.nhs.uk/healthier-families/recipes/bariis-iskukaris/ - It's a version of a Somalian one pot fragrant chicken and rice dish and was amazing and served 4 big portions with one more lunch. I used chicken breast instead of thighs (don't cook first just add with the rice) and a bit less oil so only 2 syns in total.

Anyway, day plan:
B toast HEB and poached egg plus asparagus and milk for coffee HEA
L: speed soup with Parmesan HEA (very much like minestrone)
D: Bariis Iskukaris (see above) 2 and side salad with dressing 2 and FF yogurt with maple syrup 0.5 and a small sprinkle of granola (guessing 2?)

Snack: two Jaffa cakes 5, Diet Coke and some red pepper strips.

Wilma55 · 19/03/2022 17:02

Thanks @lechatnoir that looks really tasty, love a one pot wonder!

GettinTrimmer · 19/03/2022 17:43

I lost the 0.5lb I gained last week, regaining focus now, would like to get a dress for niece's wedding in August....wedding photos & would like to look slim! Anyway, today:

B - 2 Quorn sausages, poached egg, roasted mushroom & tomatoes - 3 syns
L - cous cous, roasted veg, chickpeas. Free low fat Greek yogurt & speed free fruit
T - jacket potato scooped out with cottage cheese & leeks, topped with cheddar (Hexa), 300ml skimmed milk in tea & coffee (Hexa)
S - Freddo (5 syns) & 2 matchmakers (2syns)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/03/2022 23:29

Sorry for gain @Plantsandpuddlesuits and well done for loss @GettinTrimmer

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 20/03/2022 18:52

Enjoyed my meals today...

B... greek yogurt, blueberries raspberries banana

L.... tortilla pizza for hex b with ham mushrooms and sweetcorn.

Caffeine free diet coke mid afternoon trying to cut down on my tea drinking!

D.... homemade Cottage pie with all the veg 🤣 5percent mince, soffrito mix, mash on top then brocolli carrots and sprouts on the side. Allowing 4 syns for frozen mash. Took out a small portion before serving for my lunch tomorrow. Am enjoying doing this as no one notices the difference and if I left it in we would all have probably just picked at the leftovers so this way there's a lunch ready for me.

Treat.... looking forward to a small glass of wine with TV later.

I may try an SP day in the week, possibly Tue as that's a day I think it will be doable. Does anyone else do them?

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 20/03/2022 18:55

@GettinTrimmer your jacket potato meal sounds lovely it sounds really cosy!

Also are matchmakers only 1 syn each?! If so that's fantastic I'll have to get some!

Re Quorn sausages I presume they are what you're counting for the 3 syns. Do you like Linda McCartney ones? I think the red onion ones are free I really like those as a weekend brunch in an egg wrap with mushrooms aswell.

GettinTrimmer · 20/03/2022 19:01

Thanks PlantsandPuddleSuits I like a nice jacket spud. Matchmakers are only 1 syn.

I also have the red onion veggie sausages, but mainly ALDI; they are also free and cheaper.

I'll be back in a bit to post today's food.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 20/03/2022 19:03

Not sure if I've already said this but jacket sweet potatoes are lovely with cottage cheese, I like the pineapple type

GettinTrimmer · 20/03/2022 20:11

That sounds nice, I'll try that....will make a change for me from usual jackets.

Today:

B - Wetherspoons porridge & banana (don't know syns), cappuccino (6syns I'm estimating)

L - Slimwell ALDI Chips, poached eggs, beans. Followed by bowl of orange, raspberries & low fat Greek yogurt

T - Slimming World roast potatoes, left over roasted veg & chickpeas, Cauliflower, carrot, green beans & gravy (1.5 syn)

S - X2 matchmakers (then they're gone...2 syns), Freddo (5 syns)

Went for long walk after breakfast & may go up to 15 syns today (it's Sunday!) Feeling in control at the moment.

GettinTrimmer · 20/03/2022 20:13

I've never tried a SP day, could get good results

Pebbledashery · 20/03/2022 20:15

I'm struggling today. I'm 3 lbs off 2 stone and this evening I couldn't stomach anymore vegetables with my slimming world spag bol..
Will try again tomorrow, but struggling with the food a bit today :(

Wallabyone · 20/03/2022 20:39

Thank you for the welcomes!
I've had a weekend where I've been out and about, but also walked lots. We had a decent breakfast of eggs and bacon and toast (HexB), and then I had a salad Nicoise at Pizza Express (with dressing). I've had some fruit this evening, and although I haven't strictly been able to count syns I'm happy that I've made some good choices.
Tomorrow's a new day!

lechatnoir · 21/03/2022 12:29

Morning all,

Bit of an odd day yesterday with Sunday lunch cooked by DH so included honey roast parsnips, proper gravy and a not insignificant portion of apple crumble and custard Shock on a plus note, I did avoid the wine Halo. Today looking better:

B: usual egg and spinach on toast HEB Plus lots of coffee with milk HEA
L: speed soup with parmesan HEA broccoli side
D: leftover chicken fried rice 4 for oil (DH making and he won't use spray whatever he says Hmm)

Snacks: Diet Coke, banana & satsuma

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/03/2022 12:33
