Half a lb off this week - I'm definitely taking that! Total 1st 1lb and clothes definitely getting looserGrin

B: smoke salmon, spinach and scrambled egg on toast HEB
L: jacket and beans with salad
D: spag Bol and Parmesan HEA plus side salad

2nd HEA is milk for coffee and running kids around most of the evening so late dinner and likely to grab something in between - have quavers for emergency snacks

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 22/03/2022 10:55

Well done @lechatnoir and that's great that you can see the difference in your clothes.

Here was yesterday...

B.... porridge and blueberries

L.... leftover shepherd pie from Sunday with carrots and sprouts on the side. 2 satsumas.

D....made the Sicilian pea pasta from the fast and free book we were meant to have it the other day but didn't. Absolutely lovely. Added bacon to it and some olives. Rocket and spinach on the side.

Todays plan.... loosely attempting an SP day.

B....45g mini shredded wheat hex b with hot milk and blueberries and raspberries.

L.... planning one of my favourite lunches. Couple of heck chicken sausages 1 syn. Already roasted butternut squash, fry those with mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, spinach, crack an egg in near the end.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 22/03/2022 10:56

Oh I forgot my treat.... loving the deliciously Ella nut butter cup things at the moment will check proper name later when I'm home. 5 syns each but really satisfying and good fats.

Blondeshavemorefun & PlantsandPuddleSuits ALDI Plant Menu red onion sausages are free.

B - Porridge topped with banana & speed free fruit then free Greek yogurt

L -mushroom Dhansak (from VaVa Vegan book), brown rice, salad for speed free

S - 2 rich tea biscuits, options hot chocolate (5 syns)

T - (didn't feel like cooking!) ALDI Slimwell Chips, ALDI red onion sausages, beans. Followed by mango pieces and Muller Light layered yogurt (looking up syns think 0.5)

300ml skimmed milk in porridge, tea & coffee.

Pebbledashery · 22/03/2022 19:24

Hi gang. Having a tough day today. Feel horrendous, bad back, bloated, time of the month.. Couldn't face a slimming world tea tonight. Ordered a Turkish, chicken, rice, halloumi, tzatkiki and flatbread. Think I've gained this week, feel bloated. First time I've been off plan since January. Hoping I've not too much damage.

JingleAndTonic · 23/03/2022 10:44

Hello all, just sidling back in to these threads after a good few weeks away Blush I thought I'd give calorie counting a go but it's not for me, become too obsessive over the numbers and if I think something is high will just end up going wild thinking the day is ruined. Also haven't weighed myself for a while but I look the same and clothes fit as they did so hopefully I've just been maintaining. So back to SW!

L - a wholemeal soft pitta (pretty sure these are a HEB?) with chicken, cheese (HEA) a little bit of ltl mayo (1/2) pineapple and an apple

T - smoked haddock kedgeree with a boiled egg

S - strawberries with choc shot (1/2) and a go head oat bar thing, like a nutrigrain (6 syns)

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 23/03/2022 12:36

Hi @Pebbledashery first day off since Jan is fantastic commitment, and it sounds like you made a fairly healthy choice anyway it sounds delicious. Hope you feel better today.

@JingleAndTonic i think the soft pittas are a hex b. They are lovely aren't they. I like them to make a fake nandos or a fake kebab with that vivera vegan kebab meat.

Heres today....still loosely attempting SP day like yesterday.

B....banana I know it's.not speed but hey ho. With a quark yogurt and blueberries.

Snack.....decaff latte hex a (at home)

L.... tortilla pizza the ww wrap so hex b. Topped with sweet chilli chicken 0.5 syn, hex a cheese, roasted butternut squash, mushrooms, spinach and fresh basil. Fruit pot of melon and grape.

D... planning salt and pepper chicken stir-fry with a pack of stir-fry veg but no noodles. Really looking forward to this.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2022 12:47

OP posts:
Plantsandpuddlesuits · 23/03/2022 13:03

@Blondeshavemorefun do you have an m and s near you? Their count on us ready meals are quite nice and low syn you can scan on the app. I like the chilli I think it's 4 syns or there abouts. Microwaves quickly and I do a frozen sachet of microwave veg with it. I have to ear quickly after i get home from weigh in as have about 10 mins betweens getting home and doing kids bedtime stories so these meals are my go to for then.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2022 13:54

I do @Plantsandpuddlesuits. I will have a look

I usually only go there for their £20 valentines meal

OP posts:
Plantsandpuddlesuits · 23/03/2022 14:28

We do our weekly shop in m and s so I know quite a lot of what they have there, quite a few good sw options

lechatnoir · 23/03/2022 16:55

Bad day. Breakfast and lunch ok but mid afternoon boredom/hormonal carb snacking set in and it's all gone horribly wrong Sad

Too embarrassed to give full details but I'm sure we've all been there at some point. And the worst of it is I have a whole afternoon & evening in on my own Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2022 19:48

Awww @lechatnoir we have all had days where we think fuck it and eat

OP posts:
Pebbledashery · 23/03/2022 20:46

Weigh in tomorrow. Just know I've gained.. I feel suitably rounder.

JingleAndTonic · 24/03/2022 08:03

@lechatnoir yes we've all been there, I've been there for a few weeks now lol!

L - another soft pitta (HEB) with cheese (HEA) chives and mayo (1 syn) and some fruit

T - keema curry with rice and 2 poppadoms (4 syns)

S - go head bar (6) and fruit, using other HEA for milk in teas/coffees

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/03/2022 13:49

How are you feeling @lechatnoir and how did you get on @Pebbledashery.

A pound off for me yay! So that's a total of 4.5 pounds in 8 weeks so am pleased with that. It feels like a long way to go though. Currently 13-5 and I've set my target for 11-6 but that would still be overweight. Really it needs to be more like 9-6. That's 4 stone away 😱😱😱

Consultant isn't exactly helping. She's not happy with my pound at most per week weight loss. I'm thinking once I've finished this countdown thing I might just go it alone with you guys for support. I know what I'm doing, I don't really get much out of the group I'm not really interested in all the fake foods they are promoting tbh. I don't know.

Anyway I'm really happy with my weight loss even though it's slow. There's no rush. I've given myself 18 months to get to my 11-6 goal then we will see.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/03/2022 13:52

I forgot today's meals.

B...MoMA porridge with blueberries

Snack...half a hot cross bun at playgroup

Lunch....m and s prawn Sui mai can't remember if they are 3 syns for the pack or 6. Either way they are worth it! Apple.

Dinner.... planning on m and s low fat burgers so free. Everyone else having their ones with buns and chips. I've made myself a lovely salad to go with mine and some grilled halloumi cheese and rice. Feels like a summery meal and I'm looking forward to it!

JingleAndTonic · 24/03/2022 14:08

@Plantsandpuddlesuits well done for your loss! Your consultant sounds unsupportive and honestly daft, 1lb a week for a year would see you over a 4 stone loss if my maths is correct?! Big losses are great but we can't expect them every week.

Your tea sounds delish, adding to my list of tea ideas.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/03/2022 14:20

I've messed up the dinner plans the halloumi is 8 syns 😱 oh well will have it anyway! And the burgers are 1 syn each I'm sure they used to be free 🙄 oh well it will still be lovely and better than full fat burgers and chips anyway

Wilma55 · 24/03/2022 15:02

Can't your halloumi be hexa (35gr) or have you used both elsewhere?

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/03/2022 15:24

They are halloumi and pesto kebabs. Only grabbed them as they were on offer. Ah well

LeftyLou · 24/03/2022 15:59

Have you had trouble with your consultant before @Plantsandpuddlesuits? Why does she have a problem with a 1lb loss? That's brilliant. I think you'd be right to leave and do it from home or go somewhere else. Don't give her anymore of your time nor money. Stupid woman!.

lechatnoir · 24/03/2022 16:13

@Plantsandpuddlesuits what a rubbish consultant - a loss should be celebrated no matter how big or small. Silly mare I'd definitely be looking elsewhere or trying it on your own with us for accountability/support. I'm not a fan of all the SW fake stuff sugar free jelly & Diet Coke aside and do find a small amount of the proper stuff using my syns much easier to sustain in the long run.

Thanks for the words of support yesterday - drawn a line and back on it.
B: Alpro yogurt 1 (forgotten how much I like this and one of few plain yogurts I don't feel the need to add honey/maple syrup) & blueberries
L: jacket with last of my bean stew and cheese HEA and side salad.
D: kids having chicken wings, roast corn on the cob and rice but being Halo I've defrosted a skinless chicken breast Grin
Snacks: apple, banana, coffee with milk HEA and some sugar free jelly.
