Let's not talk about today....most of the morning at the hospital getting my new hearing aids which is fab but I always find it mentally exhausting! So it's a quick pizza for tea oops!

I'm seriously considering leaving group and trying online. I thought group would give me the support and motivation I need but it's just making me stressed. Just spent £60 on a countdown though 🙄. It's a bit of a hassle for my husband as he has to leave work early to be home to watch the children then he catches up on work in the evening. It takes up alot of the evening and means the children get to bed later as I'm not there to help with bedtime, and I'm not really clicking with the consultant.

I don't know.

I could just weigh at home and use you lovely lot as my virtual group. Aren't w couple of you in here home members?

I also get alot of Inspiration from SW YouTubers.does anyone watch things like that. I like "Katy Jayne" and "hey Bayles"

Wilma55 · 07/04/2022 09:43

I think you can switch your countdown membership to online if you ring. Look in Faq in app.

DAILY MENU 6 - PLEASE POST WHAT YOU EAT
Plantsandpuddlesuits · 07/04/2022 11:33

Thanks @Wilma55 I think I'll do that.

Here today....

B...hot cross bun shredded wheat (these are lovely) hex b with warm milk and blueberries. Chopped up melon and a 1 syn yogurt.

L... just making an early lunch now for DH and I I'm having a hungry day today. Heck chicken sausages 0.5 syns each with mushrooms, spinach, poached egg and beans.

D... having a Chinese takeaway will share chicken in black bean with boiled rice with DH for 5 syns. Love how we are happy to share a meal now rather than our previous one meal each, DH also trying to lose a bit of weight.

Blimeyherewegoagain · 07/04/2022 13:20

B - Greek yogurt and pineapple

L - salad with ham, boiled egg and cheese (A) , bread (B) , crisps (3.5) hifi (3)

D- DS is cooking and it’s frozen fish in breadcrumbs, chips and beans. Planning on not having any chips and if I’m feeling good I’ll peel the fish.🥴

Evening snack- hifi if I’m hungry later or possibly a mini milk ice lolly as they’re only 1.5

Milk for tea and coffee (A2)

Blimeyherewegoagain · 07/04/2022 13:23

I’m going out for Sunday lunch this weekend and the menu is going to be really hard to choose from as there’s not much that isn’t really heavy on the calories.
It’s looking like a Caesar salad with chicken, and dressing on the side (when I’ll much rather have a burger with chips and coleslaw!!).

JingleAndTonic · 07/04/2022 13:39

@Plantsandpuddlesuits i just use this thread as my group! i did have an online membership but gave it up as i felt like i knew everything i needed to to work out syns etc, i do take the odd liberty when it comes to healthy extras and just assume something counts even if i'm not sure, as long as the calories work out roughly the same as a healthy extra choice. it works for me!

L - speedy tomato soup with a chicken and cheese sandwich (HEA, HEB, 1/2 syn mayo) and some popcorn (3)

T - bacon and mustard pasta (1 syn for whole grain mustard) with parmesan (HEA) pear salad and garlic bread (5) it's a hello fresh meal but i'm adjusting it to be more SW friendly

S - apple, cracker bread with pineapple cottage cheese (1) and maybe a skinny whip bar (4.5)

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/04/2022 13:41

Is there not a roast option @Blimeyherewegoagain? You could have roast meat and veg and just a few potatoes maybe?
Blimeyherewegoagain · 07/04/2022 19:25

@Plantsandpuddlesuits - that’s a good idea. There was nothing on the online menu but they might have a roast as a special.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 07/04/2022 20:01

I'm sure if you put a screenshot of the menu here we could advise on options if you are comfortable doing that etc could always block restaurant name out etc. I'm sure with it being a Sunday there will be a roast. Or possibly a steak or gammon option?.I really wanted burger and chips in a pub a few weeks ago but instead had a steak jacket and.peas and a diet coke and really enjoyed it. Then a coffee when everyone else had dessert so still joining in just wiser options.

I'm out for a meal next week with a tricky (small) menu. I'm thinking of getting risotto.

JingleAndTonic · 08/04/2022 07:19

ugh gained 1lb this week, so annoyed with myself! meals have been fine but i keep having little non snacks like a pretzel here, a rolo or two there which have obviously built up Angry

L - bacon, egg, beans and veggie sausages (4)

T - chicken enchiladas (HEA & HEB) with wedges

S - not sure possibly biscuits as a treat

going to try and be as on plan as possible this weekend, or at least not go wild

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2022 12:54

@Plantsandpuddlesuits I do at home

@JingleAndTonic sorry for gain. Me too 1.5lbs ffs

but guessing dd birthday and Mother’s Day didn’t help

Think need to write off this week as well as Easter hols

OP posts:
JingleAndTonic · 08/04/2022 14:43

Such a pest isn't it @Blondeshavemorefun but it's made me feel motivated for the next week, I'm on leave the week after Easter so will need to try and behave myself although agreed holidays are so difficult.

Blimeyherewegoagain · 08/04/2022 19:54

B- yoghurt and pineapple

L- ham, lettuce and cheese (A) sandwich (B + 2) spread with butter(2), hifi (3) and a boiled egg.

D- pre dinner apple as I was so hungry, then oven baked skinless chicken thighs cooked with white wine(2), leeks, peas and dill. Served with roast potatoes sprayed with one cal. Mini milk lolly (1.5)

Milk for teas and coffee (A2)

I’ve been hungry all day! Don’t know why as I haven’t changed the amount of what I eat.
Weigh in is Monday which makes the weekends really tricky.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 08/04/2022 20:05

Your dinner sounds delicious @Blimeyherewegoagain

Here's today for me...

B....hot.cross bun shredded wheat hex b. Blueberries

L.... turkey chilli out the freezer (free) and rice 1syn. Melon.

D.... spaghetti bolognaise

Snacks.....2 biscuits 8 syns oops!

Blimeyherewegoagain · 08/04/2022 21:35

@Plantsandpuddlesuits- it’s so easy ,you just chuck everything in and shove it in the oven till cooked, no frying veggies first.

B toast b butter 1.5 marmite fruit

L sausage 2 pasta veg bske cheese a

Blimeyherewegoagain · 09/04/2022 19:50

The wheels came off for me today, I’ve eaten crisps, biscuits and ice cream. 😕
It seemed pointless trying to stop DH from putting butter in the mashed potato…
On the upside I did some gardening for an hour or so.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 10/04/2022 09:36

I think we all have days like that sometimes @Blimeyherewegoagain. Are you back on plan today?

Here was yesterday....

B....porridge hex b with a date chopped in it (1.5 syns)

L.... picnic lunch. Took no added sugar Heinz tomato soup in a flask (2.5 syns). Literally couldn't tell the difference between that and the normal one at 6 syns. Brown roll (6 syns) and pork.
Apple.

D..... chicken breast wrapped in bacon and oven baked. Roast potatoes 2 syns and veg.

Treat...."ollys olives" these are lovely. They come in a sachet and are perfect for snacks. 4 syns per sachet but shares with DH so 2 syns.

Hmmm quite a syn heavy day looking back. I wouldn't normally have porridge then a roll for lunch but it's tricky on a day out. Lots of walking to make up for it though!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2022 16:11

Hopefully back on it

B cereal b milk a fruit

L batch pot 1 and fruit

T slim well Indian 2 rice

S crisps 3.5 bar 4.5
