Hello I'm back after a weekend of shame..

DM signed up to do the James Martin cook along on Saturday night which was chaos from start to finish, only salvageable bit was the pudding so had that and a bottle of wine 🙃 then yesterday I had a massive "freezer shit" lunch of battered things and chips and then pakoras and halloumi for tea..

Never mind! Went off to B&M today and finally got my hands on the mint skinny whip bars! So excited to try! Also got the jam and toast tea that's all over the web, it's actually really nice! There's a McDonalds right next to B&M which miraculously I managed to resist too, think the craving was satisfied yesterday at lunch.

Back on it today:

L - butternut squash and red pepper soup (was a soup mix from asda) and a cheese toastie (HEA & HEB)

T - fajita chicken, SW chips and cheese with some ff yog

S - a skinny whip bar (4.5) and that tea, used just a splash of milk in it so will use 38g cheese with tea instead of 40g and call it a day 😇

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2020 12:56

I love the mint whips abs dark chocolate

B toast b ham egg beans

L mince rice salad

T ham egg chips beans

Fancy stodgy before work

S crisps 3.5 bar 4.5

I think some places deep fry the duck to make it crispy that why it's high but even so 14 syns seems a lot.... maybe they've seen how much I pile in a pancake 🤣

Bl0ndi3 · 05/10/2020 15:04

The mint skinny whips are the best!
The mint skinny crunch are really good too! Got them the other day!

troppibambini · 05/10/2020 18:55

Ok day today

L-soup
D- zingy chicken with green beans and noodles
2 benefit and a banana

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2020 19:00

B - 2 potato waffles (5) and coffee (a+1)
L - cauli and butternut Thai soup (2.5) with like 4 slices of 50/50 bread 🤓 ....
D - 2 potato waffles and banana weetabix

What a weird day, the nausea is fully kicking in now so I think I'm going to struggle to stay on plan I'll not post my bad days unless they're random like today 😂

Made my OH loaded fries "breakfast style" with hash brown fries, bacon 🤢 scrambled egg 🤢beans and cheese which is normally one of my favourite teas but even the smell had me 🤢 so just had my waffles which are safe so far!

MrsAvocet · 05/10/2020 21:08

I am too embarrassed to post today's food. Blush
Why are these last few pounds defeating me....arrgh?! I am literally 3lb off my original target (though I wouldn't mind shedding another couple of lb after that)but more or kess been stuck for 3 weeks.
Tomorrow should be weigh in but I have decided to swap it to Fridays. Cheating I know, but I need to try to do a bit of damage limitation this week.
Need to pull myself together. Not undoing 9 months of good work at this stage.

Bl0ndi3 · 05/10/2020 22:46

@MrsAvocet I often do that, move my weigh in so that I don't get a gain 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ - I find it helps me stay on plan because a gain is so disheartening and I feel really motivated to make sure it isn't a gain.

You've got 3 days, you can do this!

Have you tried a carb free day - I've lost the most in a week when I follow plan normally and just cut out the core carbs like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. I also lost 5lbs one week when all I ate was soup (wisdom tooth removed to be fair haha and it was boring!) so maybe try soup lunches without bread and then carb free evening meals? I would still eat everything else just not those key carbs x

MummyInTheNecropolis · 06/10/2020 06:58

WI last night and I only gained 1.5lbs which I was over the moon with! Expected a much bigger gain. Back on it today:

B - banana
L - beef stew
D - not sure yet, maybe chicken and rice

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2020 08:07

That’s why I wi on a Friday so have a week if Heavy weekend 😂

@MummyInTheNecropolis least you know why 💐

JingleAndTonic · 06/10/2020 10:35

I also weigh on Friday's, have a 'weigh day treat' that lasts all weekend and then do my best to shift it Monday - Thursday😂

Today is DMs birthday so be a bit more syntastic for me!

L - tomato and med veg soup with cheese on toast (HEA, HEB)

T - indian takeaway - chicken dhansak (10.5 syns), boiled rice, going to make some SW chips and a poppadom (2 syns)

S - birthday cake (syn free😉) and some rasps for speed

Bl0ndi3 · 06/10/2020 12:11

Lmao @JingleAndTonic I love that you add speed to your syn free 😉 birthday cake 😂😂

JingleAndTonic · 06/10/2020 14:42

all about that balance @Bl0ndi3 😁 part of me is considering making my own rice and grating a carrot into it too, not sure who I am anymore 🤪

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2020 15:11

B toast b marmite butter 3 pear

L chicken pasta pesto 3 pepper tomato

MummyInTheNecropolis · 06/10/2020 20:21

Looks lovely @JingleAndTonic

I was too tired to cook after work so I had a pack of sushi (4) and a bowl of cereal (HEA and B). Not the healthiest dinner, but could’ve been worse!

Bl0ndi3 · 06/10/2020 20:36

You don't wanna know.
Today has been a BAD day 😂

@JingleAndTonic good effort proud of you! Haha xxx

MrsAvocet · 06/10/2020 20:51

Well I got off to a good start aiming for a carb free day as suggested by @Bl0ndi3 (thank you - good idea).
Home made soup and a carton of skyr for lunch and an orange for a snack.
Then my DS who had what I thought was a regular cold yesterday developed a sky high temperature this afternoon. Amazingly there was one testing slot available this evening so we shot off to that. As it was late and I was a bit stressed out and tired we got a take away delivered when we got home. I didn't eat a huge amount of it though, so hopefully not too much damage done. And if we end up self isolating for a fortnight (or more)I am going to be on an enforced diet due to not having a lot of food in. Managed to book a Tesco slot for next week though. This is the problem with the "don't stockpike and don't get deliveries if you can go shopping" message though - you don't know when that might suddenly change and then all the slots are probably gone!
Ah well, fingers crossed it will be negative and that we don't have to wait to long for the results. I've got a hospital appointment at the end of a week for an investigation I have had to wait months for already. I know others are in far worse positions but I will still be gutted if I have to cancel it having got so close as who knows when the next appointment will come upSad

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2020 21:18

Oh no @MrsAvocet. Hope dc is ok

OP posts:
MrsAvocet · 06/10/2020 21:48

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun so do I. He is young and physically fit so hopefully will bounce back if it is positive but its still a worry.
We just seem to be in a never ending run of bad luck at the moment. Half of me wants to just say oh sod it, im going to eat whatever I like, but then I know I will feel worse so trying to stick at it.

JingleAndTonic · 07/10/2020 11:29

fingers crossed for negative covid test @MrsAvocet 🤞🏻 we always get grocery shopping delivered, it's back to normal up here where you can get a shop next day! have you had a look at other shops to see if you can get anything sooner?

L - chilli and cheese quesadilla (HEA, HEB) so looking forward to it

T - fajita chicken loaded fries with cheese and ff yog (HEA)

S - apple, raspberries and a vanilla and nutmeg night time tea - yorkshire blend are my absolute favourite right now 😂

a syn free day today to try and mitigate the excessive syns yesterday, the cake was worth it though

Bl0ndi3 · 07/10/2020 12:24

So far today seems like it might be a good day!

B -
Coffee 🅰️ + 1
Toast with cheese spread 🅰️🅱️

L -
Leftover curry and rice

D -
stir fry

S - muller light gingerbread yoghurt

Found out I'm provisionally safe at work, so relieved x

MrsAvocet · 07/10/2020 12:59

Thanks @JingleAndTonic
He is loads better today so I am hoping that's a good sign. From what I've heard, people don't generally get over Covid in a few days (well, except US presidents!).
He has been playing his guitar this morning having not touched it since the weekend - its usually a pretty good barometer of whether he is really ill or not.Grin
