Goosey, being on may well be the reason, retaining water etc. Fingers crossed you have a good loss next week. Stick with it.

This is a good visualiser for what you weigh when you started, and what you are now.

Good tip to visualise and focus on the weight you've lost, rather than the extra few pounds you wished you'd lost! I should do this more. I've been good today so far:

B - nothing, had a long lie in
L - leftover chicken casserole and jacket potato with veg
D - chilli, rice and salad
S - nothing yet - still have all my syns and my a and b to use up! Still full from dinner though, so might not end up having anything else now.

Lulooo · 11/02/2017 21:08

Made the slimming world recipe chicken tikka masala today. It was total shite.

gooseygander88 · 11/02/2017 21:08

Thanks Lemony yeh I'll stick with it and hope for a good loss next week!

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 11/02/2017 22:25

In my DDs nursery they have this healthy eating display that actually has a 1lb and 5lb 'model/representation' of fat that you can pick up/squeeze etc! It looks really disgusting (I think that's the point!) like a sort of semi-translucent yellow misshapen blob (kind of how you would picture 'fat' in your head) but to touch it feels really rubbery and squishy. Very effective display, that's what I visualise I am losing!

BasinHaircut · 11/02/2017 23:06

I tried to gauge my weight loss with tins of beans earlier, didnt work out exact but when I picked them all up in a carrier bag I was shocked to be honest. Can't imagine how I was carrying all that around 5 weeks ago and that was only 13lbs. Trying to lift 3stones must have been a shock and made you realise how far you have come! Proud moment alert!

In other news my takeaway was delicious but I've spent the last few hours regretting it as I felt so stuffed and sick. Now I'm battling being so thirsty because of the salty food but being too full to have a massive drink.

But I'm feeling comfortable enough for bed now and the craving for takeaway is sufficiently satisfied enough for me to get straight back on it tomorrow and hopefully be ok for weigh in on Monday night.

LavenderRains · 11/02/2017 23:36

oneofthegrundys I felt absolutely awful on my first week of slimming world. Really bad headache, tired and sick. It was like a proper withdrawal. but my diet pre sw was shocking. My body didn't know what fruit and veg wasBlush
But things quickly improved and I really enjoy the plan now and I feel so much better. Keep going, it's worth it Star

Groovee · 12/02/2017 07:15

Luloo which one did you make? My friend made one out of the magazine and said it was lovely.

OneOfTheGrundys · 12/02/2017 07:17

Thank you you two-I've slept off the migraine and am about to stir my lazy self. I've got half term to learn all the yummy treats sw has to offer.

It's about habits too isn't it? I have such a quick repertoire of food that all of us will eat (DCs, me, DH) that learning new ones is time consuming with planning.

I'm loving the lard lumps. You're right, any loss is good if that's the plan. Smile

loveslipstick · 12/02/2017 07:35

WI today. 7.5lbs loss 😱 however I do have around half my body size to lose so big losses are common for someone my size.

mayathebee · 12/02/2017 07:59

Hi all, I have been so busy with my PGCE course I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. I only lost 1lb over the last fortnight but to be honest I'm happy if I can maintain in the weeks I'm really busy/stressed.

I wanted to say that if you are disappointed with the sw curries have a look at the Hairy Bikers dieters books. All the recipes in there are really sw friendly and their curries are delicious. The tikka masala and bhuna are amazing and the dhansak is great but a bit dry so I chuck in half a tin of tomatoes.

mayathebee · 12/02/2017 08:01

Wow loveslipstick 7.5lb is amazing. Stick with it and you'll have half your body weight off in no time Wink.

Groovee · 12/02/2017 08:05

Well done Love x

BasinHaircut · 12/02/2017 09:17

luloo was that the one with yoghurt in? I cannot abide yoghurt in hot food and so I substitute for a bit of quark. Much much nicer if that was the problem.

love you must be buzzing with that loss.

Just weighed myself in bathroom scales and I'm 1.5lbs up from yesterday. Guessing I'm retaining water because of the Chinese takeaway last night (well I hope so!) so the plan is to drink drink drink today to try and flush it all out before weigh in tomorrow.

Waiting for my shopping to be delivered then it's a SW fry up for breakfast. Tonight I'm going to try and do a fake KFC as DH will have a hangover and will be craving crap.

Groovester · 12/02/2017 09:27

Morning all, well done love. I lost the same in my first week and it makes you feel like superwoman!
We had m+s skinny burgers yesterday. Wholemeal roll for hex b and cheese for hex a. Salad and red onions and a cheeky bacon medallion too. Served with SW chips and sweet corn. Not 1/3 speed but 1 slightly naughty plate won't make too much difference. Anyway, it was awesome and felt so indulgent. Proper treat!

OneOfTheGrundys · 12/02/2017 09:33

7.5 is awesome!! Well done✊

OneOfTheGrundys · 12/02/2017 09:34

Groove those meals sound great.

OwlinaTree · 12/02/2017 10:05

Well done love
