ali your consultant would hate our group! They all talk amongst themselves. One lady sits and does her knitting Grin
I would be tempted to tell my leader if she was like yours, she doesn't sound very good tbh!

SpaghettiMeatballs · 09/02/2017 06:54

WI day for me. Lost 0.5lb. I'm not surprised because I've felt I've eaten too much and not moved enough this week despite it being within plan.

Went a bit crazy on Mini Eggs last night as I'm very tired with DS sleeping very badly. Needed the sugar as I had a load of work to do. I need to draw a line under that as I'm even more knackered today after another very bad night.

8lb lost. 1st 9lb to go.

ALemonyPea · 09/02/2017 07:37

Well done losers and welcome newbies.

I'm going to try doing speed B choices, so only one hifi bar, need to find some rhubarb as that cooked counts as a B choice, so thinking half rhubarb, half oats, like a faux crumble mmmmm

Went to bed at half 8 last night as was so hungry. DH was sting pizza and then choc digestives (even though he says he's dieting, the skinny fucker) so I stropped off to bed.

First WI this morning and down 6 pounds delighted. 11 to go to prepregnanxy weight 😊😊 hope everyone has a good day!!

WhoKn0wsWhereTheTimeG0es · 09/02/2017 08:11

Morning all, WI for me just now, down 0.8lb, really chuffed with that as I haven't had a very good week and was expecting to maintain or gain.

emwithme · 09/02/2017 12:03

Lb on this morning, still 1.5 lbs under the top of target range.

It's my birthday on Tuesday so I will gain that then Grin, there's a bottle of champagne with my name on it...

loveslipstick · 09/02/2017 12:58

Hi, is there a thread at all with FAQs so that I don't bore you all asking more questions you have probably heard a million times?

OwlinaTree · 09/02/2017 13:44

Just ask love, we'll do our best!

Just had a delicious lunch, salad with ham, chicken, eggs, cheese, salad cream. I'm stuffed!!

Made the nachos thing from the last magazine last night - absolutely delicious and although it said it served two, there was enough for 3 so I've just had the leftovers for lunch. Mmm.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 09/02/2017 13:52

Afternoon everyone,

Second WI this morn, 3lb loss and slimmer of the week! Well pleased! Was a really emotional meeting. Lots of tears for a few on different parts of their SW journey but it was so heartening to see the group rally round and perk the atmosphere up, giving loads of advice and support! Quite humbling! I already feel 'part' of the group even though I am a relative newbie!

Keep on keeping on everybody! Smile

loveslipstick · 09/02/2017 13:55

Ok.... So I really am not sure I am doing right. I can't get to meeting times locally, either too early for my husband to get home or too late (9.30) as honestly I am in my PJs well before then so I have signed up online but not sure I am doing it right. I haven't been using my syns because if I eat a bit of chocolate before I know it I would have ate a whole bar etc and I don't see the point in eating other things just for the sake of it.... is this going to be a problem for me or do you think the fact I like pasta and potatoes will probably balance it out?

loveslipstick · 09/02/2017 13:55

Basically I weight gain due to carbs and chocolate so if I have cut out the chocolate should I be ok? X

BasinHaircut · 09/02/2017 14:06

I'm so hungry today! I'm supposed to be sticking to less than 10 syns a day in preparation for my takeaway on Saturday but I'm on 14 today already. Definitely TOTM related.

I've saved 13 syns so far this week, should have been 20, but it's just not been possible! If I've got 15 extra though that will be 30 for one takeaway (including Saturday's syns) so even if I go over that it should hopefully be limited damage. If I can lose a pound this week I'll get my stone award, but I'm not fussed if I don't lose, just don't want to gain.

Trying to stay syn free for the rest of the day although dinner involves a tweak.

Still got this weird semi-migraine thing going on so I'm off work again but not incapacitated so I'm really bored. Not helping me to stop eating!

BasinHaircut · 09/02/2017 14:09

loves I'm like that with bread so I just don't eat it on SW. Lunch gets tricky sometimes but on the whole it's all good.

As long as you stick to the plan and don't go over syns you will be ok.

00100001 · 09/02/2017 14:55

I'm having my first ever EE SP week - it's going OK so far.

I miss my yoghurt :(

harderandharder2breathe · 09/02/2017 15:17

You can use your syns on ingredients like oil or butter, or sausages, non fat free yoghurts, peanut butter, loads of stuff not just chocolate

Having done well at WI yesterday today I'm going to Weatherspoons for dinner and while I know I could have steak, jacket potato and salad, it's a first date (eek) and it's curry night... so expecting to not do so well next week at WI!

BasinHaircut · 09/02/2017 15:21

harder you can have shanghai noodles or pasta pomodoro (sp?) for 3 or 4 syns respectively at Wetherspoons. You can add chicken or salmon or steak strips to them too which are free.

The curries are millions of syns Shock

Emmageddon · 09/02/2017 15:33

Yay, I found some Heck Chicken Italia sausages in Tesco this morning. Now what can I do with them? Has anyone got a fabulous recipe?

I weighed in on Tuesday and lost a mere 1lb BUT it takes me to 14.5lbs weight loss in total, since 3rd Jan, and I got my shiny 1st stone off certificate so am chuffed to bits.

Now to tackle the next stone. And then the one after that...and the one after that...

BasinHaircut · 09/02/2017 16:07

Well done everyone on today's losses!

Emmageddon · 09/02/2017 16:12

@loveslipstick syns aren't just for treats - does the online SW explain how it works? As a group member I have access to LifeLine Online, and I'm not sure if that's the same.

loveslipstick · 09/02/2017 16:20

@emmageddon yes it does say they aren't for treats but what I think I am not explaining properly is that when I am making meals there isn't anything I necessarily want to add in. I sometimes like olives in a salad so I will use Syns for that and for things like bolognaise I will add parmesan but I don't see the point in adding oil/butter/cheese to things just for the sake of it? I imagine i am probably actually getting enough calories and fats in the fruit and meats I am choosing anyway but was just worried I might not lose as I was Syn free yesterday and the day before.

Yesterday I had:
Apple
2 x tangerines
Kiwi
Chicken mugshot
Strawberry Muller Light
Alpen Light (HEb)
Chicken & Spinach pasta
2 x egg tomato and spinach omlette
Baked Beans
Potato Wedges
40g lighter cheddar cheese (HEa)
Banana

So quite a lot of food but all Syn free

Groovee · 09/02/2017 16:38

I love heck sausages. I plan to use them in my work salads.

I use my syns on popcorn, cake and crisps.

WhoKn0wsWhereTheTimeG0es · 09/02/2017 16:45

We love the Heck Chicken Italia sausages, tasty and so filling.

Emmageddon · 09/02/2017 17:36

With the Heck Chicken Italia sausages, is it half a syn per sausage? The syn thing online says doesn't specify how many sausages.

Groovee · 09/02/2017 17:44

Emma, I thought it was 1/2 syn per sausage
