User I don't have a sweet tooth so find it fairly easy not to have syns through a normal day. But I love alcohol which burns syns like paper! I would rather save them and have a couple of pints/glasses of wie than just have the one on a given day.

Everyone's different I guess.

laurieloo30 · 19/01/2017 18:25

Evening everyone!

I have really struggled to stay on plan today! First day since starting sw I have felt like this. Had a good morning/lunch. Porridge for breakfast and homemade spicy lentil and tomato soup for lunch but felt so tired all afternoon! Even fell asleep at my desk at one point!!Blush
Normally for the afternoon slump I would reach for a bar of chocolate to have with a cup of coffee (with 2tsp of sugar!) Instead I got a large cold glass of water, a mullet light and a handful of berries. It didn't feel very satisfying to be honest and I fought with myself for the rest of the afternoon to not go to the vending machine!!
Now I am home and feeling pleased with myself but I found it very hard and it has worries me if I feel like that again! Is that really stupid!?!

What do other people take to work to snack on? Struggling to think that of anything other than fruit!

For dinner I am having chicken fajitas minus the wrap. Homemade marinade and salsa. Half a fresh avocado (5syns) instead of guacamole. And have some fat free fromage frais that I'm going to add some lemon zest and juice to t substitute for sour cream. ANd as I am having a hungry I want to eat everything day going to have it with salad and rice!

Really loving seeing what everyone is having each day. Giving me lots of ideas. Thank youSmile

eek Alibongo....I have sweet tooth, love wine, love crackers and cheese...doomed

Groovee · 19/01/2017 18:42

User I would have a flexible syn day. I don't use all my syns daily. But on a Saturday will use some on proper crisps than low ones.

I plan to be 100% and then eat what I want for Dd's birthday meal.

buzibuzi · 19/01/2017 18:46

laurieloo30 id have something sancky but filling like carrot sticks with hummus, apple slices with some nut butter or cinnamon sprinkle, fruit salad, nuts, medjool dates or muller thickened with quark- but i dont mind spending my syns on good fats or natural sugars

if im not hungry and just fancy something because im tired I have a strong small coffe and yohurt

laurieloo30 · 19/01/2017 19:02

Thank you buzi

I'm generally quite good with my syns and manage to stay below 10 per day so I might use some for afternoon snacks to make sure I don't fall of the wagon!

MsMontyWomble · 19/01/2017 19:05

Hi all - I'm a newbie! Joined my local SW last week and tonight is my first weigh in Confused been sticking to the plan so hoping for a loss of some sort!!!

laurieloo30 · 19/01/2017 19:10

Good luck msmonty!

Let us know how you get on!

legolammb · 19/01/2017 19:29

Grrr. Annoying first day. I had to go out and buy lunch today - my first big Tesco shop has just come (first meeting finished at 9 last night). I went into Leon thinking their stuff was healthy and got meatballs and rice and salad. Hadn't downloaded the app so checked the website when I got home from work. Anyway, I was on 16 points for my first day! Definitely shown me that I need to be prepared.

I've got a jacket potato and beans and HEA cheese for tea. I've stocked up on mugshots to keep in my desk drawer to keep me out of the shops at lunchtime if I've not prepared lunch - tricky when I work in Soho and there are so many amazing lunch places. To be fair, I really need to cut down my spending on bits like that anyway

Thingymaboob · 19/01/2017 20:20

Miss soho so much.
Bar italia, eds diner, lab, arts theatre club, milk and honey - the list goes on and on.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 19/01/2017 20:26

Good day here:

HEa: milk

B: scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and HEb toast. 2 syns for butter.
L: chicken salad with 1/2 packet rice and dressing. 2 syns
D: spag bol with baby sweetcorn and sugar snap peas. I was feeling lazy so 2 syns for a shop sauce.

Treat: Freddo 5 syns

BasinHaircut · 19/01/2017 20:48

Mongolian beef was epic! I had double the beef though (but not sauce so syns still 2.5) as 400g between 4 would have been a tiny amount. Served with noodles and broccoli.

Ending the day on 14 syns

Evening All,

6lbs off today. Can't quite believe it. Got my 2 1/2 stone award and slimmer of the week. Not bad for only being 12 weeks in.

Out for lunch today.
Had a steak sandwich with chips followed by frozen yoghurt with honey and fresh berries...

As a result that's all I've eaten today, bar a few grapes. Was nice to celebrate my friend's birthday and she went for it big style. She's already planned and accepted a gain next week. It's a BIG birthday. Quite right too, I say.

harderandharder2breathe · 19/01/2017 21:04

Wow that's fab groovester congratulations

Groovee · 19/01/2017 21:15

Fantastic Groovster!

Mongolian beef looks awesome.

Tried an Aldi layered Greek yoghurt which is 0.5 syn. It was really lovely.

summerblonde · 19/01/2017 21:17

Hey all, well done to all the losers.

Another good day today.

HEXA - 250 ml milk
HEXB - 2 x 400g wholemeal bread

B - 2 x poached eggs, 1 x wholemeal bread. 1/2 syn marg. 1/2 syn for sugar in brew.

L - I took a salad to work - ham, cottage cheese, rocket, pepper. But I was craving carbs so I got a jacket spud with smoked salmon and had it with half of my salad. It was there nicest lunch I've had in a long time. 1/2 syns for marg. I didn't eat it until 2ish. Such a busy day at work.

D - nothing. I'm still full from lunch.

1 1/2 syns today.

I might have a Freddo and half a sugar in brew taking me to 7 syns.

My clothes are starting to feel less tight. A skirt that I have which before Christmas felt so tight, it was busting open above my gut is hanging a lot nicer on my hips. It feels so good. After 3 weeks (and 2 days) 😊 I'm starting to feel the difference.

I need to drink more water though. I just hate going for a wee every two minutes!

summerblonde · 19/01/2017 21:24

Wow Groovster. I've just scrolled down, that's amazing! Well done.

Spurtle · 19/01/2017 21:31

I'm new to this. Does this sound ok for a day's eating?

Breakfast

  • two poached eggs, two small whole meal bread (HexB), flora (2syns)

Lunch

  • ham, chicken, cucumber, 0% fat cottage cheese, red pepper, salad leaves.

Snacks

  • activia, pear, kiwi, meringue nest (all mixed up together, amazing!) - 2.5 syns
  • Hi Fi bar (3 syns)

Dinner -
Tin of Heinz spaghetti hoops (Blush I know! Cupboards were bare!)
Activia, apple, blueberries, peach

Hex A was milk, plus I syned 5 more for milk as I drank so much tea and coffee today.

How does that seem?

summerblonde · 19/01/2017 22:01

spurtle that looks like a brilliant day. Perfecto!

If it was me, I'd save one of my wholemeal bread to have with my spaghetti hoops otherwise I'd be starving!

summerblonde · 19/01/2017 22:05

And 6 Mikado 😳.

Ending the day on 10 syns.

Groovester · 19/01/2017 22:23

Thank you all kindly. I won't deny that tonight I'm feeling great. My faith in SW is thus, restored Grin

OwlinaTree · 19/01/2017 22:26

6lb! Wow!

eeyoredebbie · 19/01/2017 22:26

Buzz I was just asking at group for ideas to thicken Mullers! How much quark do you put on a pot of Muller?

LavenderRains · 19/01/2017 22:42

Well done groovester that's brilliant!! Gives you a real boost doesn't it StarStar

LavenderRains · 19/01/2017 22:44

I love 'grahams' vanilla quark (tesco) with a sachet of options choc powder stirred in. Just like a mouse.
