Morning all,

So glad I didn't cave and eat everything I was craving last night. It was so hard!

Aim today is to try and eat more speed food.

WI in tomorrow and after 2 weeks running of losing 1lb. I am hoping for at least 2lb this week. We will see!

Have a lovely relaxing Sunday everybody.

BasinHaircut · 22/01/2017 09:25

Well done for staying strong summer!

Even if you get a 1lb loss it's still a loss and they all count!

My consultant has these squidgy lumps of fake fat that weighhalf a pound and a pound and it's amazing how much a pound actually is. Isn't a pound a week almost 4stone in a year?

Big shop got delivered last night so we are all food planned and stocked up for the week. Going by the last 2 weeks though think I'm going to have to factor in a small speed food shop on a Wednesday/Thursday in future because m Friday and Saturday have tended to be low on speed so far. Well that or a bit more careful meal planning! Something to bear in mind anyway.

Just had a breakfast of porridge so that's HEXA and B used.

Thinking about a mini fry up for lunch with mushrooms and spinach for speed.

Killymum · 22/01/2017 10:34

Can anyone tell me the nicest vanilla fat free yoghurt to use for overnight oats ?

dancemom · 22/01/2017 10:37

Hello all

Decided to try this myself just by reading up online, Fb pages and on here. Weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lbs! Really happy with that!

Lulooo · 22/01/2017 10:54

That's great dancemom. Good on you.

We had dinner at my parents yesterday and lots of aunties and uncles and cousins, neices and nephews were also over. Mum had made a stack of perfect fluffy fresh chapattis to go with lots of delicious (fatty!) curries and Indian foods including my absolute favourite butter chicken which is laden with butter and double cream and my favourite veg dish which is, unfortunately cooked in a method where all the veg are individually fried before being added to the pot. Hmm. Sounds mad but oh so delish!
There were 3 of us there on SW and I'm pleased to say I was the only one that resisted properly. I made a SW friendly hearty salad with chicken, black eyed beans, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, mango, lettuce and Hellmann's fat free dressing so it was all free or speed and stuck to a huge serving of that and 1 samosa as syns.
It felt good. I felt strong. Hope I have something to bloody show for it on WI tomorrow.

laurieloo30 · 22/01/2017 12:17

Good for you Luloo!! It feels so empowering when you make decisions like that doesn't it?!

I had a good day yesterday - found the evening quite hard as normally on a Saturday night I have lots of naughty snacks all evening whilst watching rubbish on tv that I love! To distract myself me and oh played a few games (lido and cards). It was soo lovely! It felt good to not be eating and to actually be enjoying each other's company rather than the usual sitting next to each other not talking either on phones or watching to!

This morning for brekky I had 2 x porky light sausages (sooo yummy!! Hubby couldn't tell they were any different to 'normal' sausages!) with mushrooms, tomatoes and beans with my hexb.

For lunch I'm going to have a ham, tomatoes and cheese omelette using my hexa. Might add some mustard for flavour and have some gherkins/pickled onions on the side to add speed food.

Dinner is smoked haddock fillets, mash potato (3syns for butter), broccoli and mushy peas.

I am already very excited about pudding! Bought some chocolate brownie fibre one bars today and milky bar mouses. Going to warm the brownie up in the microwave and freeze the mouse. So it will be like hot brownie with white chic ice cream with raspberries and strawberries. Literally cannot wait!!

Syn total for today will be 14. This is the most syns I have ever eaten in a day and weigh in tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed i don't ruin everything

ALemonyPea · 22/01/2017 12:26

Thanks everyone for your support. Feeling a bit better today, even though I didn't sleep well.

Well done on the great loss Dance.

Luloo, that must have taken some serious will power. Well done!

Been to the gym this morning, now aching all over. No breakfast as can't gym on a full stomach

D: lemon and blueberry baked oats, fruit
T: sausages and mash, loads of veg

Killy someone recommended SkyR yoghurt. I'm going to try it this week.

BasinHaircut · 22/01/2017 14:05

Let us know how that pudding goes laurie, sounds awesome!

dancemom · 22/01/2017 14:23

Thanks!

Given me even more motivation - knew I would struggle on Sundays as it's my one day a week at home and I usually graze all day but today I had a slice of wholemeal toast with a banana and grapes and just made a plate of lean ham, boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, carrot, pickled onions and peppers for lunch. Was delicious! Took a fat free yogurt out of the fridge to have after it but was totally full up!

Going out for dinner to a BBQ restaurant tonight but already know I can order a grilled chicken breast burger without the bun and have a salad with it ( and steal a few fries from everyone else!)

Thanks for the inspiration and meals ideas here

Groovee · 22/01/2017 14:41

Hi everyone

Dh bought me a Geogre Foreman from Aldi for £20. Made the bacon for the others and my turkey and mushrooms on it. Plan to do chicken on it tomorrow.

Roast pork for tea tonight, so looking forward to that.

Well done everyone on another week X

summerblonde · 22/01/2017 15:08

Thanks basin 😊. If it's a 1lb it's fine, I thought to myself this morning if I hadn't lost those 1lbs the last two weeks, I'd still be 2lb heavier, so they are not to be sniffed at.

wow well done dancemom that's a brilliant loss. I bet you feel great.

And lulooo that's such brilliant willpower. It feels amazing doesn't it. Just being able to resist and see the end goal not just the meal in front of you.

Buttwing · 22/01/2017 15:09

Hi all welcome to all the losers.

Groovster I'm sorry to hear your bad newsFlowers

Lemony that must be scary, but as others have said try and focus on the summer when you will be skinny and without any medical issues.

I've had a good few days no sugar except for last night when I randomly ate most of a tub a choc fro yo. Was a bit confused as to why then period arrived this morning so that makes me feel better! Back in the no sugar today. I feel so so much better for it.

Groovee I saw that George Forman grill in Aldi, the also had their version of an acti fry for £30 which I thought was real good value, not sure if it's any good. I've also got some skyr to try.

B-ff Greek yogurt with mango, raspberries, strawberries and walnuts (half heb)
L-bacon, spinach, mushrooms and two poached eggs
D- roast beef dinner

Groovee · 22/01/2017 16:40

Butt I want the air fryer too but dh was glaring at me and offered the grill. Dunno where I would put the air dryer though.

FaithAgain · 22/01/2017 18:05

I blooming love a George Foreman grill. Had once since about 2006 and just replace them when the teflon wears out. We use ours probably 3-4 times a week!

Lemony hope it all goes well. Not too much time to think about it.

ALemonyPea · 22/01/2017 18:17

Oh I love my air fryer. Just done sausages in it for tea while everyone else's were done in a frying pan. No difference, delicious with crispy outside. Great for chips as well.

I used to own a George, never really used it, have a panini press, but that's not the same.

Evening all

Have just sat down to do my food diary on here, had to think what I have eaten today so far and it's nothing. Oopps. Never have breakfast and didn't want a sandwich for lunch. Was supposed to have some tuna or ham salad but forgot.

Anyway. Tea is a jacket potato with salmon and a salad. It's quite a big piece of salmon so will save half for lunch. B choice will be hifi's. And I might have a bit of dark chocolate later. Dp found my secret stash earlier. The little bars from aldi.

Told him it was fat club chocolate and he should only ever have 1 bar at a time as it's high fibre stuff and will give him the squits. He put it down pretty quickly after that.

alibongo5 · 22/01/2017 18:18

Has anyone tried the mushy pea gravy? I've run out of syns so wanted to try a syn free gravy for my roast.

It was absolutely vile! Don't know if it was down to the type of mushy peas I used but it was extremely salty. I chucked it down the sink.

OwlinaTree · 22/01/2017 19:46

Mushy pea gravy??????!!!!!!! I'll look that up, sounds bizarre!! Hope it didn't ruin your roast.

We went to the harvester for tea, had grilled chicken breast, half rack of ribs, jacket spud and salad. Nom nom nom! No lunch today so feel alright about it.

Just getting the kids off to bed now, and praying the baby sleeps better. She woke at half 3 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep AngryShock

Groovee · 22/01/2017 20:10

Frouby howling at your dh putting your chocolate down.

ALemonyPea · 22/01/2017 20:30

Haha Frouby. I told DS3 that my Fibre One brownies were made with beetroot, he's not asked for one since.

Been a busy bee tonight. Made baked oats and quiche for the next two days, a pan of soup, separated it and its in the freezer, and prepped tomorrows tea more or less. Have a few busy days ahead, so didn't want to just grab something.

Mushy pea gravy sounds grim, and I love mushy peas. What was in it?

summerblonde · 22/01/2017 20:31

Checking in for today.

HEXA 250ml skimmed milk.
HEXB 2 x 400g wholemeal bread.

B - 2 x poached eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms on 2 wholemeal. 1 syn for marg. half a syn for tomato sauce.

L - mackerel on wholemeal and a satsumas. 1 syn for marg. 3 syns for 6 Mikado.

1 syn for sugar in brews.

D - jacket potato, chicken, rocket and watercress, tomatoes. 1 syn for marg. 1 syn for Nando's sauce. Half a syn for salad cream on salad.

1 Freddo 5 syns.

Finish on 13 half syns today.

Not bad as finally came on this morning. Not to give TMI but is really affects my eating habits/cravings/energy. I find SW even harder at this time of month when all I want is salt and carbs and of course chocolate.

I will see what the scales say tomorrow x

BasinHaircut · 22/01/2017 20:42

Evening!

Welcome newcomers!

For the record, I will never try mushy pea gravy. Sounds disgusting Grin

Anyway, an ok day here today. A bit light on speed but otherwise on plan and ending the day on 12 syns.

Dinner was yummy, minted lamb shank from Tesco for 2.5 syns apparently. Although there was quite a bit of hard fat in the bag with the lamb shank and gravy, but I picked it all out before I cooked it. Served with parsnips roasted on spray oil and 1 syn of honey, and boiled Savoy cabbage.

Let me know if you are getting bored of the photos of dinner Wink
