Yes buzi very chuffed and also very determined not to slip this week now! I know subsequent losses will be much smaller but even if I lost half a pound next week I really don't want to see the scales go back up!

FaithAgain · 17/01/2017 10:23

Basin if you stick with it, you'll get the results. I lost 5lb my first week. Since then (aside from two weeks over Christmas which is a bit different) I've lost at least 1lb a week. I've not been very strict (although I am this week!) but I would recommend looking at doing body magic because being active boosts your weight loss by a couple of lb a month

alibongo5 · 17/01/2017 10:33

Adding to the congrats to Basin - very impressive!

WI for me today. Feel a bit heavy today. Was on plan yesterday and no syns at all after a heavy (i.e. enjoyable!) weekend. I have added up my weekly syns rather than daily and am more or less bang on but I can't help feeling that I may have underestimated though I can't put my finger on where!

Oh well, we'll see tonight!

B - berries, yoghurt and muesli (hexB)
L - ham and cottage cheese salad
D - spag bol with more salad - cheese on the top of spag for hexA

Syns - either none or (more likely) beer as we are off to a meeting tonight to discuss the future of our village pub. The meeting is being held at the pub and I feel sure we will have one or two while there. (well, it would be rude not to wouldn't it?)

BulaBaby · 17/01/2017 10:51

HI, I stepped on my . morning and I have lost at least 3lbs.

Finding it pretty easy to stick to the plan.

Had a fat free yogurt for breakfast. Just has a couple of fruit crunch ryvita (he b)
Not sure what to have for lunch ch, but dinner us in the slow cooker. Making SW spaghetti bolognese.

laurieloo30 · 17/01/2017 11:06

Hi everyone!
Had my first weigh in this morning after being on plan for a week and I have lost 9lbs!!!Shock
I am worried I have done something wrong as this seems like far too much.
I have been a bit sceptical all week as well as I have been eating SOO much! And still having a little chocolate every day (my nemesis!)
Anyway it has defo given me the motivation to stick at it x

LavenderRains · 17/01/2017 11:25

basin losing 7lb in the 1st week certainly gave me the oomph to stay on plan. I've not lost as much in a week since but had some 3,4&5lb losses.
keep at it, I started in October and I'm now 3.5lb off my 3 stone certificate Grin
I have good and bad days but on the whole I love it!

FaithAgain · 17/01/2017 13:00

Fantastic Laurie! Some of that may be 'water weight' but clearly the plan suits you so stick with it!

I've done a 3 mile run today, working on my silver body magic! Smile

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2017 13:03

laurie that is amazing! Well done!

I know what you mean, I had 10 syns worth of chocolate on the day before weigh in and it just seems wrong to still lose so much!

Just goes to show though, that as long as you are mindful about it, you CAN eat anything.

My lunch today was 12 syns and whilst it was delicious and filling I can't help but think that previously I would have had an equally syn filled dinner and breakfast without realising what I was shovelling in, in total.

Today I've had my HEXA&B for breakfast and a 3 syn dinner planned. Only free and/or speed fruit for snacks.

FaithAgain · 17/01/2017 13:12

Basin that's why I like the plan though - it's promoting a balanced diet but there's flexibility on how you 'spend' your syns (I see them as a budget!). I was in a binge habit cycle before I joined (actually it was taking over and I felt I had no control!). I read a book about breaking that habit before I started. That, combined with a balanced diet, limited refined carbs and the knowledge that I can have a few treats a day has meant I've only binged once since I started (in October). I was bingeing several times a week before I started.

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2017 13:20

That's great faith. It really does work as long as you embrace it doesn't it?

I think putting the effort in to cooking and planning and shopping etc is absolutely key though.

Buttwing · 17/01/2017 13:28

Wow well done basin and Laurie they are amazing losses!!!

Hello to the newbiesSmile and well done to the losers!

Ok so day 2 of no sugar, I'm not going to lie it's hard. But I'm managing despite ds trying to shove a shortbread biscuit in my mouth at soft play.

I didn't have my spicy prawn courgetti yesterday as I just had some more of the soup I'd made at lunchSo I'm having it tonight instead.

B-Greek yogurt, 3 walnut halves, and mango

L- some Italian cabbage my mum gave me and a bacon, tomato, mushroom, spinach and olive omelette

D-spicy prawn courgetti

ALemonyPea · 17/01/2017 13:52

Awesome weight losses everyone. Very inspirational.

I've lost 1.5lb this week. Not what I was hoping for, but it's still a loss after two weeks of gaining.

Thanks guys!
I was unsure about joining a support forum but looking back through the thread you all seem lovely and some brill meal ideas being posted Smile

For breakfast today I had 2 x porky white sausages, 2 x eggs scrambled and three handfuls of spinach cooked. TOTAL = 1 syn (I don't work on Tuesday so am able to spend more time over my breakfast!)
For lunch I had home made tomato soup with my HeB whole meal bread and my HeA cheese. TOTAL = 0 syns
For dinner I am going to have chicken egg fried rice with LOADS of veg. TOTAL = 0 syns

I will have some carrot and a mullet yoghurt as a snack and then a freedo later on after dinner for my chocolate fix! X

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2017 14:54

laurie this thread is excellent for support so stay tuned!

Food sounds great Smile

Frouby · 17/01/2017 14:54

Well done Lemony. A loss is a loss. I think you have done so well so quickly a 'normal' loss is bound to be a bit of a disappointment. But for context it took me from May to end of November to lose just over 2 stone. Mostly done in 1lbs and 1.5lb losses. I won't mention the 9lb I slammed on in December Confused.

Frouby · 17/01/2017 14:58

Todays plan is as follows.

B. Coffee
L. Museli and skyr yog with blackberries
T. Vegetable pasta with a bit of cooked gammon. Which I need to actually cook as I had forgotten about it.

summerblonde · 17/01/2017 15:45

Well done on all the losses....

B - 2 poached eggs on 2 wholemeal. 1 syn for marg. 0.5 for sugar in brew.

L - wafer thin ham, peppers, red onion, cottage cheese and rocket. 1.5 syn salad cream.

D - will be - salmon, carrots and broccoli. Maybe a spud. 1 syn for Peri Peri sauce.

summerblonde · 17/01/2017 15:46

Oh and 2 satsumas and a muller light yogurt.

TheImprobableGirl · 17/01/2017 16:32

Today's food chez improbable is/ will be
B- 2 sausages(counting 2.5syn each) 4 bacon medallions, tbsp beans, two tiny toast, 2 tomatoes, 2 fried egg whites.
L- an apple 🍎
S- couple of carrots and tea
D- five bean chilli with HEA cheese, maybe with rice or crushed roasted potatoes, served with courgette, carrots, peppers and mushrooms in to give speed an ooomph

LavenderRains · 17/01/2017 17:20

Can I ask, I've seen it a few times on here. Why eat fried egg white, egg white omelette and not the whole egg? Eggs are free!! I couldn't just have whiteConfused I would feel cheated.

LavenderRains · 17/01/2017 17:26

Today's plan;
B banana and yogurt
D jacket potato with cheese (hexA)
T beef caserole (beef, sweet potato, mushrooms, butternut squash, carrots and onion) just chucked in whatever veg I had!

Snacks: an apple, lychees (strange things but lovely )

Syns will be some chocolate tonight or maybe a bit of panettone from Xmas, will need to check out its synage!

Well done losersStar I'm missing Wi tomorrow as I'm working.

summerblonde · 17/01/2017 17:59

Dinner was lovely and very filling. I'm really not a fan in broccoli and carrots but I forced them down for speed. Added an extra syn with a teaspoon of marg on my spud.
