Hi everyone, can I join? Wow that is an amazing loss for your first week lavender! I had my first weigh in on Saturday and lost 5.5lbs! I was 11 st 11 and a half to begin with, hoping to lose 2 st 4 to get to my dream weight! Seems to be going well so far but as it's my second week I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much for another big loss this Saturday.... Smile

summerblonde · 16/01/2017 20:10

Thank you all for your support today and all the great advice, which I'll be taking on board. More water, less sugary snacks before weigh in, bigger picture. I'm staying in plan. Yes it is disheartening, but what's the alternative? But half a stone back on? No thank you

Basin wow!! And congratulations!!! Over half a stone in ONE WEEK! That's more than impressive - you must be over the moon. Well done to you!! 😊

LavenderRains · 16/01/2017 20:11

HELP please!!
I asked DH to get me some muller lights as I like to take one to work. He came back with muller light goodies with the chocolate balls 🙈bless him.
He said they looked nicer!
Anyone know how many syns are in them? I can't seem to find it.

harderandharder2breathe · 16/01/2017 20:22

Mullerlight goodies - toffee, lemon and strawberry are 2 1/2 syns each. Coconut is 2 syns

BulaBaby · 16/01/2017 20:27

Well done Basin

Frouby · 16/01/2017 20:36

Owl glad you liked your cheesey soup. It really makes it luxurious doesn't it? I know it's either syns or your Hea but worth it to enjoy rather than tolerate a bowl of speed instead of a sarnie and a bag of crisps.

Basin that's an amazing first loss! Bet you are buzzing. Well done.

I tried cornichons today for the first time ever. I think they are the same as gherkins. They are bloody lovely. Look proper fugly though. Like little green willies 😂 but were really nice and firm. Ya definitely don't want a floppy green willie. Will definitely be using up the Christmas impulse jar and buying more. And I bet you could make a really nice tartare sauce with some quark with them!

I bought some dark chocolate from aldi today and am looking forward to one with a cuppa shortly. I also still have my B choice to have. And have some raspberries in the fridge. Am thinking museli, rasperries, skyr yog and grated dark chocolate. Will be a proper bowl full of loveliness!

ALemonyPea · 16/01/2017 20:37

Wow Basin, well done. What a huge boost for you. I lost 7lb my first week, such a good feeling.

Brilliant Basin!

I've had a good week. Got my bronze body magic and lost 1.5lb Smile

LavenderRains · 16/01/2017 20:59

Thanks harderandharder that's less syns than I thought. I will forgive himWink

madein1995 · 16/01/2017 21:06

Hi all, not been a terrific day here. Started with good intentions and fruit and ff yogurt for breakfast. Lunch was leek and potato soup and bread roll (hexb). Then undid it by having 17 syns worth of hifi bar, lindt ball, mini chocolate, biscuit and a fun size crunchie. Tea was good though - spag bol with lots of speed and cheese as my hexa. Must try harder tomorrow - do a no syn day!

BasinHaircut · 16/01/2017 21:07

Thanks all, I am totally shocked. I knew I'd lost and was really hoping for 4-5lbs but wasn't expecting that! Really can't get my head around how that is even possible. I know it's not all fat and is bloating/water retention too but fuck me!

I was a bit embarrassed about getting a sticker and a certificate.

Anyway, today has been a good day good wise too:
B - weetabix and milk (HEXA & B), half an apple
L - chilli (2syns) rice (1syn) and spinach
D - naked enchiladas (4 syns for sauce, 5 syns for cheese), rice and salad
End on 12 syns.

That's amazing basin Shock

summerblonde · 16/01/2017 22:42

So I stuck to plan for today..

Dinner was the buttwing chicken and chorizo special, less that half of Tilda brown basmati rice, roasted mushrooms, pepper and red onions for speed. This was after a made a creamy carbonara for DD and DP.

Freddo 5 syns and 2 cups of tea. 1 syn for sugar.

9 syns for today.

summerblonde · 16/01/2017 22:45

And well done faith!

summerblonde · 16/01/2017 22:46

Welcome Gracie 😊

FirstTimeMummy25 · 16/01/2017 23:13

Well done on all the loses. Not sure who mentioned lasangue white sauce but I make mine with 500g ff Greek yoghurt, 2 eggs, pinch of nutmeg, season with salt and pepper and then sprinkle grated Parmesan on top. Lovely! Had it tonight!

FirstTimeMummy25 · 16/01/2017 23:13

lasagne**

TheImprobableGirl · 17/01/2017 08:24

Good job basin! And thanks for all the positive group stories- I always find it's a bit happy clappy, but the clincher was my sister offered to join with me- and she really desperately could do with losing the weight, she is about 16/17st and only 21- it would be a real boost to her confidence if she could get a couple off!

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2017 08:49

improbable I stayed for my first group last night and TBH I didn't get anything out of it. I thought there might be a topic or some advice etc, but it was just clapping everyone. I get that bit, I think it's probably important to buoy up the people that maintain or gain so they carry on but I thought there might be a bit more to it.

I also got the impression that there is a large portion of the group that do not understand the plan and who also heavily rely on Iceland meals and muller lights. It's a shame that there isn't a way to get some more education into the group time.

I will continue to stay though, not least because if I don't I'll have to go home and do DS's bedtime because he won't let DH put him to bed if I'm there!

TheImprobableGirl · 17/01/2017 09:16

Haha basin I've got to go to an earlier one (5pm) because dd1 won't let dh put her down even if I'm not there!

Yes user an Apple is ok for breakfast, but it's probably better to get some protein in otherwise you will be super hungry quite quickly! I am currently cooking ALL the food for breakfast again. Can't find the syns in reduced fat Tesco sausages... I can see half fat are 2.5, and healthy living are just 1- but these are particularly 'reduced fat sausages'

buzibuzi · 17/01/2017 10:08

well done basin you must be so chuffed!
Frouby i made lasagne this weekend, i only out white sauce on top layer, mix it with some cheese , spread and put sprinkle of cheese on top of that

FaithAgain · 17/01/2017 10:19

basin that's the format for WW and if anything, I found that worse. So cheesy, I always thought What's head office told her to say this week?! and after you've been for a while it's all just repeated! Ideally a mixture would be better. I find it helpful to hear about other people's' journeys though.
