Thank you all!

Lavender it's such a boost, isn't it?! 2 dress sizes is brilliant! I tried on some jeans in a shop on a Monday and suddenly thought Why am I looking at buying new jeans? I have jeans in my wardrobe I can fit in! and I can!

Wow all you ladies are doing so well loosing Christmas week, very inspiring, I have been struggling, only been a member for a few weeks. Week 1 lost 2lb witch I was happy with then I maintained for 2 week then week 3 I'd put on 1 half lb, was gutted, but I had had a few slip ups and it was star week. I know now we are so close to Christmas, are any of you following plan over Xmas and hoping to loose or maintain, or are you just eating and drinking whatever and back on plan in the new year? X

Hi Rosie! I was determined to get my club 10 this week! I don't think I've have been so disciplined if I hadn't had that target. I was careful with my syns (I make sure I treat myself every day, if I was too strict I'd fall off the wagon!) and upped the exercise to get the 2lb loss I needed. For Christmas I'm planning to be careful...enjoy Christmas Eve, indulge Christmas Day, enjoy Boxing Day, then back on it 27th! I'm aiming to maintain this week. I'd hate to gain after reaching this point.

I admire your discipline, IV been up and down since forever, mainly up!! But I'm determined 2017 will be the year I loose 3st. I have been mindful of my eating most days, but keep falling into the trap of eating bread, witch I had recently cut out. I just need to be careful as I don't want to put on lots of weight this Christmas, a lb or 2i can cope with. No more bread, there is.no reason for it, I don't need it!!

WI this morning, same as yesterday ie down a lb from last week but last week was a 1.5lb gain. I have pretty well abandoned the plan this week, the DCs have been off school and we've done all our seasonal baking and went out for a lovely lunch yesterday. I'm taking the view that family traditions are more important than SW - in another couple of years they probably won't want to bake or go for lunch with their mum any more. In between baking I'm trying to moderate my food and alcohol intake but it's more damage limitation now.

Interestingly Rosy, I don't feel that disciplined! I did WW a couple of years ago but I found it so restrictive I ended up cheating all the time....I lost 1 1/2 stone in 6 months, plateaued for 6 months and gained half a stone the last 6 months! I don't want to do that again so I'm more conscious with SW. Every time I'm tempted to have a blow out, I think do I really want or need this? Is it better than seeing a loss on the scales?. I find it easy because I do a pretty strict meal plan which I stick up in my kitchen. I do an online food shop when I've meal planned. Planning in advance has definitely been key to my success. Oh it's also worth noting I am on a gluten free diet. When I eat wheat I have IBS flare ups and get horrifically bloated. Last time I ate lots of wheat for a test I looked about 6 months pregnant! Confused I try not to have loads of GF substitutes though because they tend to be high in carbs/sugar. I eat more meals with potatoes and rice instead.

Who I know what you mean. I am going to do baking with DD today Xmas Smile I figure I can make GF mince pies for less syns then shop bought ones?!

Well done Faith!

I've well and truly started the Christmas food, too many trips out and to people's houses. Trying to have some SW meals in between, but it's not going great. Nothing planned tomorrow, so will be on plan then definitely.

I am staying on plan today. So far so good! Tempted by biscuits (that I need to nake cheesecake!). I'll have some fruit instead!! Out to the pub tomorrow so I'm going to enjoy that but will probably only have a couple of drinks.

I'm having a mostly on plan day, I did have a wrap in a cafe at lunchtime (9syns) with various okish fillings, houmous, falafel so probably a bit over syns but not too bad. I'll have no more syns today....

Had a great day on plan today. Next three days are slimming world free though.

Might not get the chance to come on during that time, so if I don't, have a lovely Christmas everyone and enjoy yourselves.

I've surprisingly stayed on plan today. Was thinking I might open the turkish delight tonight but don't fancy it now! Had some melon and a hifi bar.
Happy Xmas lemony & everyone! Enjoy yourselves and here's to a slimmer 2017Grin

Happy Christmas to everyone. Enjoy every mouthful of what you eat and drink, whether you are on or off plan.

I had a sneaky peak at the scales this morning just to keep a track as I am not planning on being very good over the next few day and I saw a different number at the start! YAY!!!! Grin So that has given me a kick up the bum and I am now quite determined to not go back up into the next stone bracket.
Tomorrow is the day when I am hosting the whole family for a massive buffet. I have chosen to have a number of low syn alternatives for me and DD, but I don't think it is going to be easy to keep my fingers off the duck rolls, mince pies, cheese, cheesecake, pringles.......oh everything!!!

FaithFromTheRealmsOfGlory · 24/12/2016 10:42

Sounds good PA, have lovely Christmas with your family.

I dragged myself out of bed for a 3 mile run this morning! Trying to do damage limitation for the next couple of days. I'm determined not to backtrack but I'll be happy to maintain next week to be honest!
