Can I ask a TMI question.
Has anyone had errrm the shits after eating HiFi bars? Since Monday (when I first got them) I've been doubled in pain and showing signs of a bug. But I'm still hungry and can eat, no vomiting etc.
I hope not, the orange ones are lush (I've not over eaten them either)

ALemonyPea · 12/10/2016 19:01

No I'm fine after eating them. Maybe it's the added fruit and veg you're having? Hope it settles down for you.

OrianaBanana · 12/10/2016 19:02

The rhubarb ones then the jam roly poly ones and more recently the newer ones (can't remember the flavour offhand) all gave me stomach pain and gas. Not the shits mind you...

The others were ok.

OrianaBanana · 12/10/2016 19:03

Oh banana milkshake.

dannyglick · 12/10/2016 19:06

Balthazar, your having eaten the hi-fi bars could be just a coincidence.
Maybe have a break from them for a few days: it could well be just a bug.
I've been like that if I've had beans/ lentils for a couple of days together.
Don't worry about TMI: there's plenty of talk about poos on here, and no one worries about it!

noodlezoodle · 12/10/2016 21:11

Lemony what about warm salads? (I promise I'm not being sarcastic!). Some of these sound lovely: www.shape.com/healthy-eating/healthy-recipes/20-best-winter-salads-warm-and-fill-you

Also everyone in California seems to be obsessed with 'bowls' - basically veg and protein in a bowl with dressing, sometimes with grains of some kind - if you don't want to add carbs then maybe quinoa or lentils, or even cauliflower rice? Some nice looking ones here: www.buzzfeed.com/mackenziekruvant/21-super-healthy-bowls?utm_term=.hvxaJmM7P#.owvvMZYze

I've just made myself really hungry now Smile

ninnypoo · 12/10/2016 21:16

Back from weigh in and maintained which I'm happy with as I've had a couple of bad weekends.

Today:
B: skinny latte (5 syns)
L: slow cooked beef casserole + apple
T: salmon, rice, broccoli, halloumi (hex a)
S: banana, 2 boiled eggs (protein pot), mango and strawberries with yoghurt

Won some scan bran at group in a game- any recommendations of what I can do with it?

Mummyme87 · 13/10/2016 07:48

I maintained this week! Bloody miracle after the week I have had.

Well done losers on your losses

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 13/10/2016 08:08

Just weighed in (online), down 0.4kg/0.8lb, which considering yesterday was the only day I properly stuck to the system this week. My meals are ok but I'm snacking a bit too much still. Overall I have massively changed habits for the better though.

I'm having a problem though - constipation. My fruit/veg intake is similar to before but I used to eat a lot of 50/50 bread and I think my bowels are missing it. I've never had constipation regularly before and I have prolapses so it is a total No. I'm going to have to think about how I get round this.

OwlinaTree · 13/10/2016 08:11

I'm delighted over here, managed to put on an old pair of jeans that are a size smaller! I feel brilliant, much more like my old self. Baby slept through the night too! Won't last, she's having her jabs today, but what a great start to the day.

Think I'll having Chinese at the weekend with friends. Have been investigating possible choices. Was thinking hot and sour soup and then special fried rice. That seems like a reasonably low syn choice. Anyone got any other good suggestions as to what I could have?

MilkandAssal · 13/10/2016 08:44

Morning, just jumped back on the wagon this morning.

Breakfast; eggs, mushrooms, onions (all scrambled together)

Lunch; baked potato, ham and salad

Supper; pasta bake with chicken and red pesto.

No syns as of yet.

HeA milk for various coffees.
Snacks; apple, pear, strawberries.

No heB as of yet, perhaps an Alpen bar after supper.

MilkandAssal · 13/10/2016 08:45

Owlina, chicken in black bean sauce and boiled rice...and chicken in oyster sauce one is free and one is super low syns.

Redpony1 · 13/10/2016 09:30

I stayed the same at WI this week, which i am happy about!

I had a bad week, 2 big birthdays which were both celebrated with all you can eat Chinese, and a day out for Horse of the Year show which meant i ate rubbish all day.

I'm very lucky not to have gained

FirstTimeMummy25 · 13/10/2016 10:24

Chicken chop suey is meant to be low syns if I remember rightly with boiled rice which is free I had it when I followed sw for my wedding and now I love it and have it every time:)

ALemonyPea · 13/10/2016 11:13

Those bowls look lovely Noodle, will try a few made SW friendly.

WhoKnows, are you eating your B choice every day? That should help with the constipation. I eat dried apricots for my B choice for a few days when I'm constipated and find it helps.

I have raging PMT. I don't have periods, once a year if that, and I've started yesterday. Could easily eat a family sized bar of chocolate. Trying to stay on plan as much as possible though.

B: fruit, yoghurt, baked oats for HEB and 1'syn for blueberries
D: ham and egg salad
T: fish and chips.

New chip shop has opened near me, which is meant to be divine. Making my own chips, have SW chipmshopmcurry, getting a fish and mushy peas and will remove most of the batter from the fish. Will try the chips, maybe one or two, would be rude not to.

ohforfoxsake · 13/10/2016 12:17

Just back from WI, 1.5 down - would have been more but I binged for two days last week. Proper over-eating on a grand scale, so its not so bad.

I am really over it and just want to see the finish line now. Just over a stone to go, and I want to put the effort in and make some real progress.

Made the SW Jambalaya - syn free version on the website. It went down well with all the children and there's masses of left overs. Very easy to make and I heartily recommend it. Great winter bowl food, with an extra splash of tabasco for warmth. Lovely!

froubylou · 13/10/2016 12:27

Morning all

I was definitely constipated at Wi on Wednesday. Made sure I had my b choice yesterday and am no longer constipated plus am 1.5lb lighter than yesterday. sigh.

Anyway will have a good loss next week instead hopefully.

todays plan
B. Coffee
L. Hm soup
T. lamb tagine, boiled rice and veg. Really looking forward to it. Will have a couple.of syns for the apricots and honey but don't care.

Syns will probably be a g and t later. And hifi for my b choice.

If I just lose 0.3 lbs I will see 11 on the scale instead of 12 something lol.

OwlinaTree · 13/10/2016 13:20

Thanks for the Chinese tips, I'll check them out.

PositiveAttitude · 13/10/2016 16:50

I am currently resisting the temptation to plant myself face down in a cream doughnut! I am stressed beyond belief. DD2 has told us that the Dr are giving her 7 week old baby boy one last chance to overcome all odds. Ventilation will be removed over the next few days and if he does not cope they will be doing no more. I am heartbroken for DD2 and her boyfriend. History appears to be repeating itself - we went through similar with our first baby girl who died at 8 days old. Life is so bloody unfair!!! DH is also leaving the country for a month on Monday. Something big always happens when he goes away and I am left to cope alone!!
Sorry for terribly off topic moan!! Sad Sad Sad

OwlinaTree · 13/10/2016 17:02

Oh positive that must be so difficult. Life really is unfair. Thinking of you.

Buttwing · 13/10/2016 19:26

Oh positive that is so awful for you and your familyFlowers I will say a little prayer for your little man and hope he stays strong and is a fighter. How heartbreaking ((((( hugs)))))

froubylou · 13/10/2016 19:42

positive have the fucking donut. Have anything you want to. Will be thinking of you all over the next few days xx

Doilooklikeatourist · 13/10/2016 22:10

TMI alert , but I'm missing bread and feel a bit bunged up , which I don't understand as I'm a eating tons of fruit and veg
Told DD I had started SW and she laughed and asked why 😀Bless her , she's 19 and looks like a model

Doilooklikeatourist · 13/10/2016 22:11

Oh positive 💐

LavenderRains · 13/10/2016 22:17

positive Flowers please, have the donut, it doesn't matter.
I work in a neonatal unit and I'm sure the Dr's will give 100%. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong.
