She was pressed by some members who had read about it online. It will only be the granulated sweeteners because those are what some people are using way too much of (such as half a jar in one go!).

ALemonyPea · 08/10/2016 16:26

I'm going to ask my consultant on a Tuesday at WI about it.

I know I made some chocolate brownies that required a whole tub of sweetener. They were OK but had an aftertaste of sweetener that lasted for hours afterwards.

Well done on the next stone bracket Butt. Can't wait till I'm in the 12'stone, hoping to be in the lower 12s by Christmas.

You can do it Bibs, I have every faith in you.

I need some new bras, nothing fits me. I might buy some cheap supermarket ones, some interim ones, until I am at goal. Then will buy some proper nice ones.

B: fruit, lemon curd on toast (1 syns and HEB), yogurt
D: ham and pease pudding, fruit
T: chilli, taco shell (3.5 syns) sweet potato wedges, salad and HEA cheese

Bibs2014 · 08/10/2016 17:59

Thank you lemony! Having a lovely chicken roast for dinner - perfect weather for it!

froubylou · 08/10/2016 20:14

Hello all

Well done Butt, I am on the cusp of going down to the next stone bracket and I better bloody be there by Wi on Wednesday! I have gone down almost 2 stone since the beginning of May and it's taking some getting used to.

Been to a family do tonight and had loads of compliments on my loss. yesterday too. Think it was because I was wearing jeans for a change instead of harem trousers. It definitely gives you a boost.

yesterday was curry night so had my usual chicken sag and boiled rice. And a few g and ts as my mate came round. Didn't go mad though!

Today we had fish and chips for lunch. I had literally a handful of chips, took 90% of the batter off and had a big portion of mushy peas. Was lovely.

Was supposed to be having a meal out for my nephews 18th but I didn't fancy anything on the menu and the food isn't great. One of the soft play places which is ok for lunch but not really an evening meal type thing.

Not sure what we are having now. Am still not really hungry so might just have some soup or something light.

noodlezoodle · 09/10/2016 00:38

Well done Butt that's fantastic!

I weighed in this morning (online) and have lost 2.5lbs, but it doesn't really count because I've been ill most of the week and only really eaten soup, eggs and toast. Definitely too much toast for my HEBs as well, but it's the only thing I really fancy when I feel unwell.

I had a really good meal plan worked out for this week as well, never mind, will just have to eat it next week instead!

Buttwing · 09/10/2016 08:47

Thanks everyoneSmile my dp had a takeaway last night but I said no and made gammon, egg, chips and peas it was blooming gorgeous! He had plate envy as his curry wasn't that good.
I've got a funny day today so need to try and be organised dd is going on a date!!! She's only 11 and has had this "boyfriend" for a while he's so sweet, they have just gone to different secondary schools so I've agreed to take them bowling but I am allowed to drop them off but not be there so I'm going to sit in a coffee shop and wait then take them for food and sit in a different coffe shopConfusedHmm
I have told her I will not be doing this every weekend!!

B-coffee
L-spaghetti bolognese
D-not sure yet

Has anyone tried the red/white wine stock pots? I used a white wine one the other day to make leek and potato soup it ruined the lot made it taste like vinegar, I was not impressed!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 09/10/2016 09:01

Meal planning for me today too, I have to get myself back on plan. We had Chinese takeaway last night, but just chicken with cashew nuts and steamed rice, it was lovely and I didn't feel all bloated and greasy (previously we would have had sweet and sour pork with fried rice, crispy chicken wings and prawn crackers).

emwithme · 09/10/2016 13:26

The consultants have a flier to give to everyone at group this week, apparently. Some consultants have jumped the gun and given it early...not sure how it works if you do SW online though.

I definitely wouldn't have lost the weight without meal planning (but I very much doubt I'd still be married without meal planning - DH is aspie so knowing roughly what we're going to eat on what day really works for him). On a Saturday before we go food shopping we sit down and plan what we're going to have for the week and then write the shopping list based on that. Sometimes (like this week) we have to change it when the supermarket doesn't have what we want there were no bambi burgers yesterday so we had heck sausages instead but it's not as bad as planning on the fly (because if I did that I would eat ALL THE CRAP because it's easier).

I'm not a fan of stock pots generally Butt they seem to have a really artificial taste to me...so I stick to cubes. I keep threatening to make my own stock but I'm lazy.

froubylou · 09/10/2016 14:56

I find if I use wine in anything you have to really reduce it down otherwise it tastes of vinegar. I like some of the beef ones lobbed in the slow cooker for a beef stew but tend to use cubes for most other things.

I have started meal planning more. It makes a big difference to how much food we waste and also stops sad faces if they don't fancy what we are having. everyone is asked what they fancy. This week we are having chicken dinner tomorrow, Chinese tuesday, liver and onions Wednesday, and lamb tagine on Thursday.

Have ordered a duck for pancake rolls on Tuesday. It worked out cheaper to order the whole duck which comes with the pancakes and hoisin sauce than order legs and then the rest of the stuff seperate.

Been out for Sunday lunch today. It was lovely and I even had a pudding. Worth the syns.

ALemonyPea · 09/10/2016 17:37

Speaking of chip shops, there's a new one opening near me tomorrow. Think we are trying it Thursday so the plan is for me to just get fish and mushy peas, will do some wedges and have sw chip shop curry sauce, so should be ok if I peel the batter off.

Lazy Sunday for me today. Had out a beef stew in the slow cooker last night, it was cooking for 18 hours, it's divine. Has stock, tomatoes, carrots and celery in. Beef just melts in your mouth.

B: scrambled egg, mushrooms
D: baked oats (1 syns for blueberries), yoghurt, HEA cheese, orange
T: beef stew, mash, veg, Yorkshire pudding (5syns)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 09/10/2016 18:00

Slowcooker beef, Yorkshires and veg for us tonight too, the menu planning is done, fridge stocked, tomorrow's packed lunch made, ready for a healthy Monday.

BalthazarImpresario · 09/10/2016 18:27

Only my second week and I guess I went off plan. Weird one, didn't feel overly hungry ever but didn't use my trackers so I think I wasn't using as much speed food as I should have been.
Today is my birthday so got very drunk last night (but also danced for 3 hours) and have had a slap up meal and cake today.

Not overtly worked though, one week out of life. Draw a line and start fresh after wi tomorrow.

ALemonyPea · 09/10/2016 20:28

Really missing having my wedding rings in, so was thinking of having them resized. Still have 3ish stone til target, should I wait, or getbthem done now?

Buttwing · 09/10/2016 20:45

Lemony I'm exactly the same I've not had my rings on since before I was pregnant with dc4 I REFUSE to have them sized up!! I find it motivates me.

ALemonyPea · 09/10/2016 21:22

They need sized down Butt. Not sure when to get them done.

froubylou · 09/10/2016 21:24

If they are a bit big lemony you can get little inserts made to go inside them to make them smaller without having to have them resized.

Just had museli and yoghurt while dd had cheese on toast. Really wanted cheese on toast. hmmpphhh.

ALemonyPea · 09/10/2016 21:39

I bought inserts but they made my finger all itchy. Willmjustbgetbthem resized, maybe after Christmas and hopefully that will be it.

Buttwing · 09/10/2016 21:48

Ha ha sorry lemony!! I would much rather be in you positionGrinGrin in that case I would defiantly wait. I've got just over two stone to go until I get to the weight I was when I got my engagement ring and it makes a big difference to my fingers I can't get it past my second joint in my finger yet.

Bibs2014 · 09/10/2016 22:17

Redpony1 · 10/10/2016 13:32

Lost 3lb in my first weigh in last week, fairly happy with that. However, this week will be a gain but i know that, i started SW a week or so before a big day out and a 30th birthday Chinese meal!

Week 3 will be 100% back on track :)

It's a rollercoaster isn't it :)

Well done for everyone's losses! :D

froubylou · 10/10/2016 13:46

lemony I never wear socks with Uggs and I live in them from now until the end of April usually!

Have a look at the schuh website. click on offers then click on explore imperfections. There will be loads of stuff but you can narrow your search down by brand or style or size. It is all the stuff that has been on display in the stores and are shop soiled. I refuse to pay full price for uggs as I am a tight arse but just paid £70 for a pair of £200 boots because 1 is slightly faded. You can't actually tell once it is on.

Have bought loads from there and always been really pleased.

ALemonyPea · 10/10/2016 13:47

Hurray for no headaches!

Ive been so good since I started, but have my birthday coming up and then Christmas. Dreading it, but I suppose if I can't manage to have a few off days for celebrations, then i should give my head a wobble.

You can do it Red.
