You can definitely do it Rochelle - I find taking regular pics helps me to see the difference and to spur me on to keep going!

Took super-mega-laxative last night.
Still no poo.
WI this morning, gained 1/2 a lb.

It's all bloody poo, I can feel it.

Ho hum...onwards and downwards. Probably going out for dinner tonight, not sure where, but I am going to be totally off plan and I shall enjoy it.

BasinHaircut · 01/09/2016 12:10

em Grin

At least you will see it on the scales next week.

calzone I've been wondering where you were! Are you still at target?

The biscuit tin is filling up rochelle as there have been s couple of birthdays this week, but as long as I don't start I'm ok. I'd also got into the habit of grabbing croissants for breakfast on my way in to work, but for almost 2 weeks now it's been either fruit and yoghurt or weetabix and skimmed milk so I have already made positive changes. Like you and Emily say it's about the long term habit changing as much as the SW plan, so everything you change and stick to is a win!

Rochellen12 · 01/09/2016 14:46

Basinhaircut well done on your changes:) its not easy especially with parties etc..my partner is a sweet person so he brings everything and anything into the house,,no wonder i gained in the last 4 yrs😂And every nite he be like you want a biscuit or chocolate and its good saying no i dont fancy it as before id swear id never have chocolate again an stuff my face x

Rochellen12 · 01/09/2016 14:48

Hi em:) wow that sounds awful,,nothing worse when your full up and cant go..when ya do ya will lose a good 3lb just like that so think positive ha 😂

ALemonyPea · 01/09/2016 17:33

Afternoon everyone. Well done on the losses and welcome newbies.

I woke up this morning with bad stomach ache, so haven't had much to eat today. Trying to stay in plan but I usually have a cup of tea and a whole packet some digestive biscuits when I'm ill.

Struggled yesterday to stay on plan as well, but I managed it. Had an unexpected phone call from BT demanding I set a direct debit up for my MIL, who died last year. I had to go through all her paperwork to get some stuff, and it brought a whole load of horrible feelings back. The last year of her life was very traumatic for us all, and it's when I emotionally ate to the point of my BMI being over 40. I don't want to go back there.

BasinHaircut · 01/09/2016 17:51

Flowers lemony

That sounds tough.

calzone · 01/09/2016 18:10

No

Not at target. Went to Italy and ate food. 😬😬

Need to lose a stone.

ALemonyPea · 01/09/2016 18:11

Thanks Basin. Thankfully, it's all sorted after another person helped, it's was down to an admin error, would complain if I could be arsed.

Em, I know how you feel about not pooing before WI. I was gutted I didn't have one Tuesday morning before mine, after a night out with DH the night before. And I was more annoyed that I forgot to have my wee the few minutes before I got weighed, due to my consultant putting me on her team and having to work the shop.

At my meeting, we were discussing weight loss for people who have more to lose (like myself) and one of the elderly ladies, who reached their target after losing 1 stone 5, was horrified that anyone could let the self go like that and why anyone would do that to themself. Can't remember her words, but the were very scathing.mnot having a great week really.

ALemonyPea · 01/09/2016 18:11

I bet you enjoyed gaining ever last ounce of that as well Calzone. You'll get back to target no problem.

froubylou · 01/09/2016 19:06

Lemony take no notice of her. If she can't imagine why anyone would over eat for comfort or for whatever reason then she really doesn't have a very good imagination which is a sign of stupid. So I would pity her stupidity and ignore.

Am officially in my holidays now. Curry from takeaway for tea then away early doors. I won't be posting what I will be having for the next few days as it won't be sw stuff.

But looking forward to neXT week, a Wi when I am back then a good loss the week after.

BasinHaircut · 01/09/2016 19:13

calzone I bet it was worth it though! Mmmm. Sure it will come back off easy enough.

MargoReadbetter · 01/09/2016 19:36

Lemony - bully for her, what a thing to say (the woman being negative and just not blooming understanding). I hope the leader had a word with her afterwards.

Froubylou - I will try and stop weighing all the time or restrict it to mornings only. I've changed the scales to stones, pounds and ounces so I want it to be a surprise when I check it in kilograms, as I don't have an intuitive feeling for lbs (grew up with metric).

Good luck to all as the evening munchies approach. I'm driving my son to & from football training so no alcohol for me, no syns with that.

EmilyK83 · 01/09/2016 20:36

Ugh ignore her Lemony. Don't understand why some people don't realise that the whole point of groups is for support - maybe karma will bite her on the bum one day and she'll be in the position where she has more she needs to lose!

I discovered today that M&S do these, 1.5 syns each. Not tried them yet, but will crack them open this evening...

profpoopsnagle · 01/09/2016 21:00

hello all, have been away on holiday for the best part of a month, took a while last night to catch up with the posts. Put on 3.5lbs which isn't so bad, I did have a few more treats but nowhere near to excess like I would have had before. Been back on plan now since Tuesday and feeling ok about it, felt like I have missed fresh stuff and cooking.

Trying a few new recipes out this week, from that little mag that came with the magazine. Had the paella (but swopped the chorizo for heck paprika sausages) which was lovely and then the beef in black bean sauce which was amazing- had 2 portions of leftovers which I have frozen, can't wait to have it again! Had the fishcakes tonight, and trying the tex mex chilli tomorrow. It's worth a look through.

I might have a word with my consultant about it TBH, there were a few people squirming in their seats. It's easy to put a lot of weight on, really easy, the hard part is losing it, and being part of SW is meant to help that. It's hard work some days being on a diet.

Sorry for the negativity from my last few posts, feeling a bit glum.

On the good side, bought a pair of jeans 2 sizes smaller than what I was in April. I can get them on, but they're rather tight, but another stone off, they'll fit smashing.

Those tea cakes look delicious Emily. How many are there in the tub?

EmilyK83 · 01/09/2016 22:01

Great NSV with the jeans, Lemony! The tea cakes are amazing! There's about a million in there...well, maybe not that many, but a lot! Maybe 40?

I've taken 4 out for 6 syns and I've put the tub back in the cupboard...
