I think some of it is probably poo. I hope so anyway! Only had 2 small poo since Thursday and I am usually a once a day kinda girl.

Hopefully I am full of shit and water. And not fatter for a weekend of indulgence.

Have obviously missed my heb so will be having hifi bars for the next couple of days.

Wi on Wednesday so let's hope it works by then.

Hi all, can I join you please? I started SW last Thursday, so am on my fourth day now. Have 2 stone to lose. I've never really dieted before and have found SW pretty good so far, but we'll see whether I've lost weight on Thurs!
It's making me think about the way I eat and cook. I used to slosh olive oil and butter around without thinking of the calories at all. I also definitely ate too much bread and often did a bit of mindless snacking in the afternoons.
I really want to fit into all my old clothes. Am sick of having nothing to wear and feeling frumpy and uncomfortable.

LOL at full of shit and water!

I am the queen of going off plan and restarting. No-one need be embarrassed while I'm here, not that it's embarrassing anyway!

Emily, you WILL get to target. You will. Let's all do a Noel Edmunds and ask the Universe for it. You can't fail then. Ommmm. (I'm a bit hyped up on caffeine.)

Lemony, how do you measure the pizza dough? Is it just 60g of raw dough? I have Aldi's wholemeal bread mix and I want to do a pizza this week on SP while I have two B choices -and can make it massive-.

SP going well still.

B: Quark with 1tbsp choc shot (2 syns), chopped apple.

L: Homemade veg soup made with carrots, onions, celery, swede (speed) and butterbeans and red lentils (protein).

Snacks: All the hi-fi bars for my Bs, a curly wurly (6), cherry tomatoes wrapped in topside of beef.

T: Tuna salad.

Would any of you lovely lot have any wild guesses at to how many syns may be in a restaurant pea and mint risotto? I went shopping with DS and we stopped off at a restaurant on the way home. Blush I didn't fancy any of the salads on offer, so I went for the risotto, but i am not so sure that it was a wise move. it was bloody lush, though
For dinner tonight I have had a mountain of speed salad with some syn free coronation chicken and i am going to try and stick to fruit this evening.

Report
chough · 05/09/2016 19:30

Positive, I would think the risotto itself would be within your day's syns: rice, stock, peas, mint are all okay, but did it come with any extras, eg parmesan and garlic bread!
Anyway, you enjoyed it, so they were syns well spent: call it a flexible syns meal and don't worry.

Report
ALemonyPea · 05/09/2016 20:04

Yes it's just 60g of raw dough Molly. Next time, I'll double it and syn the extra as the 60g is just super tiny. It's just like a proper pizza though. I topped mine with tomato purée, mushrooms and onions and also HEA cheese.

God Em your poor consultant!!! Head office are lovely, I've phoned them before - number is on the SW website...

Lots of fibrous veg frouby! Awaiting a pop update tomorrow! Grin

Hey miss, I was exactly the same as you before, scary amounts of butter and oil!

Thanks Molly, appreciated Smile

Positive, most restaurant risottos will have butter in them, possibly cream too...would try and guesstimate syns for those!

I didn't think of butter/ cream in the risotto.
Still think everyone cooks like we SW folk do.

Report
PositiveAttitude · 05/09/2016 21:42

Thanks everyone. I did seem to have some butter in the risotto - my stomach ache told me that, but it wasn't creamy. There was a little bit of feta cheese, but I was counting that as my HE A. Ok, so I am not going to beat myself up over the risotto. I am sure I had enough flexi syns from the rest of the week, anyway.

MollyRedskirts · 05/09/2016 22:24

It'll be fine, one meal over the entire week is nothing. Even if it results in a gain, just carry on! I tell myself that the silliest thing I could do is quit, because then I'll never be where I want to be.

We got an email from our consultant to say that the chocolate macaroons hifi bars are completely out of stock!!!!!!
She has 3 boxes left.
That's it forever.....😨😨😨😨

Report
ALemonyPea · 05/09/2016 23:18

You buying all three boxs then Calzone?

Report
ALemonyPea · 05/09/2016 23:19

Apparently the new flavour is the most requested. I hope it's mint.

Not allowed

One box pp only.

Would be kinda stupid for them not to make the coconut ones a permanent addition to the range as they're so popular - they could make a fortune! Full boxes will sell for loads on eBay now, I reckon, if that's the case! Grin

Up early this morning to try and make sure my pre-weigh in poo happens...

My consultant had completely sold out of them too, but she seemed to think SW were definitely making them permanent. She said the fastest selling ones were the rocky road, and they took a few months to go out of stock. The coconut ones only took two weeks! They'd be idiots if they didn't make them permanent.

I reckon the new flavour will be strawberry cheesecake. I want it to be mint, but they got rid of the big mint hi fi years ago, so I can't see them bringing mint back.

Actually, while we're on the subject, I don't suppose anyone knows of a good low syn substitute for the peanut hi fi bars? I miss them.

This thread has descended into poo talk. I've never felt more at home! Grin

Just weighed in after a very half arsed first 2 weeks and I'm down 2.5lbs. Bit pathetic but at least it's a loss!

Wil try to be more on plan this week.

Today is looking like the following:
B - berries, banana and yoghurt (6 syns, it's the yummy one)
L - left over pulled pork, SW coleslaw, lettuce and potato wedges (counting another 6 syns for olive oil as I cooked the wedges in a bit)
D - steak, stir fry veg and either noodles or rice. Probably noodles. All plain so 0 syns.

Come on Emily you can do it! And if it's not this week, what's another week?

Report
emwithme · 06/09/2016 09:26

I'm crossing my fingers for mint, because those big mint hifi bars were my favourite and best when I did SW back in 2010 ish. I am very glad that I didn't buy any coconut ones this time - I had a feeling that I wouldn't be able to regulate my intake to two (rather than a packet) so I left it for a while. I use hifi bars as my chocolate fix via my HEB, which is why non-chocolate flavours don't work for me. I tend to alternate between the chocolate orange and the rocky road ones at the moment, but a mint one would be divine.

DH is back to cadets today (yay...I get an evening to myself) but his beard went yesterday (boo) so he doesn't really look like him again.

Today's food (Fishy SP day)

B: Eggy muffins
L: Smoked salmon salad, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Prawn stir fry
HEA: Milk
HEB1: Cashew nuts (in stir fry)
HEB2: Hifi bars

According to my sneaky mid-week weigh, I am 2lbs down on the week. Very happy if that stays, but I have a sneaky suspicion AF will arrive on Wednesday night or Thursday morning putting the kybosh on any decent loss.

Hey all :) just rejoined SW again after numerous attempts. Lost 6.5lb in first week, looking forward to next weigh in, but a wedding and day at races may have scuppered my attempts. Looking forward to Thursday.

Well done to everyone who lost weight :)

Hello everyone, may I join you? I joined online just over a week ago, only lost 1lb on Saturday but hoping to carry on and do better. For health reasons I'm gluten and dairy free, plus allergic to nuts except almonds, so will prob have to ignore some of the lovely recipes, but it's worth it to feel healthy! Oh, and since it's a liver problem, no alcohol either Shock

EmilyK83 · 06/09/2016 10:28

I DID IT!! 2lb lost this week, taking me to 9st 8lb - taking me to 1lb below target! Hit target and got my 5 stone award this morning...so, SO HAPPY!!

Hello new people!

Cloudy, SW is very customisable so you shouldn't have any problem. My sister is coeliac and has done the plan in the past, and I know a few vegans who've done it. Have you been on the full desktop version of the website yet? There's a section for a daily planner to record your food, but it has a drop down box for your healthy A and B choices. It's handy to see all the healthy extra choices in one place, rather than having to search individually on the app to see if something counts. You'll be able to make a list of all the dairy-free and gluten-free alternatives if you have a look. Smile

Hi Molly, thank you, there is a download with gluten/dairy free options which is great. I think I'll have to wing it a bit too but it's ok, sweet potato etc will always be fine, most free foods are good for everyone. I'm really looking forward to it tbh. Eating out will mainly be meat or fish plus jacket potato, I can't have the butter anyway! Even a pound a week is better than carrying on gaining, as I was before!
Well done Emily, your weight is tiny!!
