Hi Emily

Any low syn treat ideas will be gladly received.my biggest problem is stopping so I find it hard to have just one biscuit not a whole packet haha!

I'm new to mumsnet, and very wary of posting, as I'm prone to be a "worrier" and some threads seem to get very nasty and bullying, and I don't think I could cope with that.
However, the Slimming World folk on here seem to be supportive and non-judgemental people.
Just like the real- life SW groups, actually, where I always feel safe and amongst friends.
A lot to be learned there.

Thanks for the welcome,ALemonyPea.
I am a lapsed target member, and want to get back on track.
Planning to rejoin SW tomorrow, and reading through this thread, I think I'll pick up plenty of tips.

Evening all

Epic fail tonight. But have walked and run miles with baby pony so don't really care! Was just so hungry when I got home. I have been on my feet since 6am, walked and ran a big gallomping pony many miles and didn't sit down to come home until 5.30pm.

B. Hifi bar
L. Nothing too busy to eat.
T. 2 x burgers from bbq complete with white breadcakes, 1 x sausage sandwich on 1/2 breadcake. 3 x g and ts.

Too tired to care!

Hi Chough, I am reasonably new to this group and can vouch for friendliness and support - it's like being at group without leaving my house Smile.

Emily your list is fantastic - thank you.

I am just getting over a period of hardly eating and need a kick up the bum to go back on plan rather than believing a few naughty days wont hurt!!!!! Done one kick me....hard Sad

Comeonmommy, I like the idea of this being like group but without leaving the house.
I'm going to group this morning after several months away.
I've not been completely off plan during that time, but have had extra syns far too many times, and I think I've put a fair bit of weight on as my clothes are too tight.
Anyway, I'm trying to look forward now, as I'm determined to do something about it: I've got to target before, so I know I can do it again.
I will post again after group with news of the damage!

Oh My Goodness!! Got back last night from a week away. All inclusive foods all week!! It was lush! BUT.......... 8lb up!!! Blush WI tomorrow is going to be Sooooo embarrassing! I am hoping that about 7lb of that is fluids and will just float away now that I am home again! Hmm

Today is DD4's 19th birthday as well. Instead of going out for a meal she has requested a takeaway for everyone. So everyone else will be choosing what they want while DD1 and I make a slimming world fakeaway chinese. I have even got the plastic boxes so that we dont notice its not from the takeaway!

I need to get back on plan 100%.

Positive I was 7 lbs up after a week in Germany...FFS, I was 2 lbs up after 3 days at home BEFORE I went to Germany (chips, chocolate, cake, crisps, curry and chinese - people say you should cut out "s" foods but I'd do really well cutting out "C" foods Grin ). I lost 2 lbs by the Thursday (yay scan bran) and "official" WI and am now slowly chipping away at it. Bit annoyed at myself as that 5 lbs was the last 6 weeks WIs...and I'd just got my 3 stone award. I am hoping that I get it off in the next two WIs so I can gain it again while I look after my DN here at the seaside for a week Otherwise it's onwards and downwards, 19lbs to target, hopefully by Christmas.

I am going to be bored stupid at work today, need to think of lots of things to do to entertain myself what? I could try working? NAH! There's a big job on and so most of the team are out on that, including a couple of people who usually work in the office, so it's just me and one other lady and she sits in the other room (v small, only 10 of us including the boss) so although I'm going to get all my filing and admin backlog up to date, I've got three days to fill!

Today's food:

Breakfast: Brekkie muffins
Lunch: Beef salad, apple, pear satsumas
Dinner: Bambi, chips and salad (Asda venison burgers, 2 syns each)
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Well done to everyone with their losses!

I have gone a bit awry this week. Drank half a bottle of malt whiskey on Friday...oops

Have done my best to recover since then - no alcohol on Saturday and completely on plan but Sunday was my mum's birthday and we went out for a curry which involved two glasses of wine (small). Hopefully today and tomorrow are completely on plan ahead of Tuesday evening weigh in.

Poor old Bambi.
I returned to group this morning after an absence of over 4 months.
I've gained eleven pounds since I was last weighed, taking me nine pounds out of my target.
I was expecting worse, to be honest, but it'll be the reason for my clothes feeling tight, as I think that gain equates to around a dress size.
Anyway, I enjoyed staying to group, and I'm feeling motivated now.
The only thing to get in my way is a family meet-up for a pub lunch on Sunday.
I thought I might try to check the menu online ahead, in an effort to make better choices.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with meals out? I don't want to spoil my week's efforts, as it will be WI the following day.
Should I be saving syns throughout the week?

ALemonyPea · 25/07/2016 13:55

Poor Bambi!

11lbs is easy Chough. You've done the hardest bit by admitting you're off track and gone back to meetings.

I'm going to Blackpool next week. Really worried about my weight gain while I'm there. Only there for three days, but I out weight on so quickly.

Going to get weighed before I go rather than miss that week, otherwise I'd eat from tomorrow's WI.

B: fruit and yoghurt, hifi bar HEB
D: bacon and veg omelette, cheese hea
T: salmon and veg rice

Popcorn and another hifi bar for 8.5 syns. I have a serious addiction to peanut hifi bars Blush

Mmmm bambi. Haven't had it for ages. Might do bambi stew soon!

After the weekend shananigons I am back on it today and for the rest of the week. Dp working afters for at least a fortnight so can be ruthless with teatime. Dcs will eat whatever is put in front of them so can do lots of lovely food that is sw friendly without dp moaning he is fed up of salad!

B. Coffee
L. Subway salad with turkey and a bit of light mayo
T. Jacket spud with beans and some veg for speed. Hifi for B choice, HeA in coffee.

SyN's will be the mayo I had with salad. And that's it hopefully!

Don't think venison is something I've ever tried before.

I bloody love bambi, in all its forms. I do an excellent Bambi and red wine stew (is effectively the same as my beef stew but just has venison instead of beef). At Christmas we always have Rudolf stew (which sometimes is just normal deer rather than Reindeer - depends if I've been to Lidl to get actual reindeer) which is venison and red wine stew, with cherry tomatoes popped in fifteen minutes or so before serving for the noses, because I am evil

I cannot wait until teatime. I have 45 minutes more at work, and unless Something Happens, I have about five minutes' work left. My mouth is bored and I keep singing along with the radio. I apologise to those in the area, it must be raining...

If anyone is looking for some nice sw friendly recipes I have just had a browse through The Hairy Dieters Good Eating book. It's book 3 so presume there are at least 2 more of them.

Some really good sw friendly recipes. A nice baked aubergine dish I might try this week and a couple of heart looking soup's. And a curry dish I might try. And it gives you the calorie content of each meal.
