Well done obrigada, that's brilliant!

Today's plan:

B - satsumas and a skinny latte (HexA)
L - picky bits from the fridge
D - the opening of a new pizza restaurant that I've been invited to for work... Oops.

Pistachios as HexB, no syns to account for the pizza!! Planning on snacking on fruit before going so that I don't overindulge...

WingDefence · 20/07/2016 13:57

Well done obrigada :)

Emily - you don't have to eat a whole pizza you know...! Just a taster for work purposes? Perhaps they'll have other stuff there? clutching for straws

B 2x weetabix hexB and milk hex A
L chicken salad with baked potato. Estimated 2.5 syns as went a bit crazy with salad cream.
D DH is cooking salmon and tagliatelle and I'll measure 1 tbsp pesto for it. Fresh pasta which I know isn't free but does anyone know why?

froubylou · 20/07/2016 14:25

Wing I think fresh pasta and noodles have oil on them to stop them sticking together.

I lost 1lb this morning. Bit disappointed but I shouldn't be with everything I have eaten this week. And I know I haven't been having enough speed so I was lucky to get a loss really.

TodayS plan

B. Coffee
L. Stir fry with noodles. Allowing 4 syns for pre done noodles and oil and sauce.
T. Salmon, salad and new potatoes. And I have forgOtten bloody salad dressing.

WingDefence · 20/07/2016 15:04

But still, well done frouby? I've messaged SW on fb to get a definitive answer. Obviously I'll syn it but I'm intrigued now :)

maygirl · 20/07/2016 16:23

SP day,
B butternut squash pancakes, raspberries, honey 2.5 syns
HeA skimmed milk
L spiced chicken salad, mango chutney 2 syns
Frozen yogurt 4 syns
D going to DMs for coq au vin with veg. Rest of syns on the wine in that!
Unsure about heB. Might get hifi at weigh in.

wonkylampshade · 20/07/2016 16:31

What's your butternut squash pancakes recipe maygirl?

ALemonyPea · 20/07/2016 16:46

Nothing tasty is free, you should know that by now Wing Grin

This weather is getting to me. It's so hot. Barely slept last night.

B: fruit, yoghurt, hifi bar for HEB
D: chicken salad, 3 syns for salad cream
T: bacon and mushroom pasta with hea Philly.

Going to an air show on Saturday, where there will be burger cans, ice cream vans, and various other non syn friendly vans. Need to take my own food I think.

EmilyK83 · 20/07/2016 17:39

Well done Frouby - it's still a great loss!

Wing...it should only be tasters of pizza, so may be ok...problem is they make their own ice cream too...and there'll be welcome drinks... Wink

Ah well. It's only Weds! Plenty of time to be good until weigh in on Tues...

Tequilamockinbird · 20/07/2016 18:40

Ooh, can I join you please ladies?

Have done sw before and lost 2.5 stone but then gave up and put it all back on Sad.

I'm off now to sign up to a new local group though, and I will stick at it this time! I've got about 5 stone to lose.

maygirl · 20/07/2016 19:54

Hi tequila!
Wonky, butternut pancakes are cooked butternut squash mashed with eggs ( +sweetener optional, I prefer to add sweet freedom syrup after).
Fry small spoonfuls in frylight/spray oil. Think official amounts are 150g squash with 2 eggs but this makes too much for me. Can microwave the squash to cook it, or I roast the bottom end of one the night before if I have the oven on, saving top bit for butternut noodles! Serve with berries, sweetened quark also nice addition.
DM made SW coq au vin from the Mediterranean book, so only 2 syns. Had a peanut hifi for HEB. Just having the one even though SP day.
Had a large gain at WI but pleased in a funny way as its the kick up the arse I think I needed!
Well done lovely losers!

feralcat19 · 20/07/2016 20:23

DD has just started SW and I said I'd join her! Incentive is her wedding in 4 months time. I've done SW previously and managed to lost a stone but have probably put that back on now Sad. Long term, need to lose about 5 stone but would be really happy to lose 2 stone before the wedding - is that possible?

Aspergallus · 20/07/2016 22:05

Well I gained 1lb after PMT eating mayhem. Thought it would be worse tbh. Still a bit sad that my stone loss is now back to 13lbs.

So I'm trying SP this week, and get an extra day as weigh in had to be moved next week. Better be a good weight loss after that!

I'm 4lbs off Club 10 so that's my short term goal right now.

Tequilamockinbird · 20/07/2016 22:38

I've been and signed up to local group, yay! First step done, can't wait to get started now.

However, I really didn't like the consultant. One of the first things he asked was whether I'd be staying to group every week. Now, I often work away and will going straight to group from work. If I then stay until 9, I'll be starving and tired, so I told him this and said I'd try to stay wherever possible, but that some weeks of just get weighed and go straight home.

He seemed to take the huff at this and said, quite sternly, that if I didn't stay to image therapy every week, that I would get no help or support from him. Confused

This can't be right? My last consultant was lovely and understood my position etc. So, should I stick it out with him, or find another group with a more supportive consultant? Any advice?

feralcat19 · 21/07/2016 06:10

Gosh Tequila, I hope that's not normal? I'll be facing a similar situation and will endeavour to stay when I can but can't be doing with an attitude like that.

ALemonyPea · 21/07/2016 08:26

Welcome newbies.

I'd find a new group Tequila. He sounds like a twat.

Feral, I've lost over 2 stone in 14 weeks so your 2 in 4 months should be doable. Good luck.

EmilyK83 · 21/07/2016 09:21

Tequila...welcome! And your consultant doesn't sound right at all to me - do you have any other groups near you that you can try?

Went to this restaurant launch last night, had 4 small slices of pizza and a tiny cocktail. Far more restrained than I'd normally have been! Had no extra syns after that, and planning on lowering syns for the next few days to make up for it...

Today's plan:

B - fruit
L - tin of HexB soup, veg sticks
D - chilli con carne, rice and salad

Skinny latte as HexA, no more than 5 syns...

Tequilamockinbird · 21/07/2016 09:43

Thanks for the welcomes Smile

I'm thinking maybe he was having an off day or something, so going to give him a chance next week when I stay to group and see what he's like then. If he's still a twat, I'll definitely move.

Had satsuma, Apple and grapes with a muller light poured on top for breakfast. Lunch will be jacket potato with beans and a sprinkle of cheese (HEA).

Currently trying to find my tape measure so I can take waist, thigh etc measurements.

Twinklestar2 · 21/07/2016 10:02

Special K and whole milk ( ran out of skimmed)

Probably a Subway salad for lunch

Dinner is something with pork - maybe a stir fry.

gadget1974 · 21/07/2016 10:55

Hi All,

Well after a poor week last week which saw a completely unexplainable 1lb gain I have lost 4.5lb this week taking my total loss to 2st 3.5lb since I started 10 weeks ago. I am now just under 15st for the first time in many years and have dropped over two inches from my waist.

Very happy!

WingDefence · 21/07/2016 11:02

Morning all! No response yet from SW re: fresh pasta. Annoyingly with the pasta and tbsp but other little bits yesterday I had 15.5 syns! Shock It's amazing how it all adds up and shows how much it helps when I track everything on the weight loss planner online.

Tequila, if he remains a twat next week I'd not only move groups, I'd report him to SWHQ...

B overnight oats with strawberries and cherry muller light. Yum.
L might make a pasta salad
D there's a BBQ at church tonight but I'm going to batch cook SW spag bol for the freezer and will have some of that on a jacket pot I think.

WingDefence · 21/07/2016 11:03

Cross-post with you gadget - fantastic loss!!

EmilyK83 · 21/07/2016 11:18

Well done gadget, that's amazing!

Wing - the fresh vs dry pasta thing...I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that fresh pasta has double the carbs, and doesn't reduce in size when cooked. So...100g of fresh pasta has the same carbs as 100g of dried pasta, but as dried pasta expands when cooking you'd have less on your plate than you would with fresh pasta, if you see what I mean?

Think some fresh pasta also has oil added?

WingDefence · 21/07/2016 12:17

I read that yesterday too Emily :)

I've had a response now from SWHQ and yes it's the added oil. Silly pasta makers Angry

EmilyK83 · 21/07/2016 12:36

So does that mean if we can find fresh pasta with no oil then it's free...? Smile
