Emily - I got stuck for 2 weeks when I was expecting to hit target, tiny losses for no particular reason (I was on plan) then lost 3 and undershot it by 2lb...I think my body was just messing with me, lol

Thanks all!

Well done Lemony, you must be so chuffed!

Ha tabulah...please don't tell me that! Hehe...I'm determined it's going to happen next week!

Nice one Emily!

I'm sure you will get target next week, but even if you don't, it must be really nice knowing you are only a pound away!

Have you given any thought to how you will maintain yet?

Today I've been on plan.

B - FF yoghurt with berries and banana
L - ham, eggs, HEXB bread, scrape of butter (need to work out syns) and watermelon
D - I'm making falafel (baked) in a minute and I've also got a bolognaise on the go so one of those two, haven't decided which yet. Will use syns on a pitta bread and some chilli sauce

Lost track a bit over the bank hol.

Yesterday quorn hot dogs with white buns for dinner, couple toasted marshmallows. Lunch salad, bread, bit of cheese, lentils, cous cous. Can't remember breakfast.

Sun think 60g sour dough bread with low low for breakfast. Lunch pasta n sauce pesto think 2 syns. Dinner veg lasagne.

Sat. Some free foods, can't remember. Must keep food diary.

Fri ok during the day but had some of kids pizza.

Add a few glasses of wine

Off for the rest of the week so who knows
I have missed weigh in this week as too many derails and felt bloated anyway. Think it may be my pre week, so hope that factors in for next week and being sluggish. I guess i could have been worse.
Started nearly a month ago, so think the repetition of meals factoring in.

Well done losers (Emily you will get to target next week) and welcome newbies.

Maygirl since I mentioned it in group a couple of weeks ago, my Waitrose has been sold out...it was back in this evening though.

Am in quite a lot of pain because I sneezed and dislocated a rib (and I'm not sure it's back in properly) so am planning on an early night in the hope that something goes clunk while I'm asleep.

SP day today:

Breakfast: Eggy muffins
Lunch: Beef salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Salmon fillet, roasted mediterranean veg
HEA: Milk
HEB1: Ryvita (with cottage cheese, cucumber and cheery tomatoes)
HEB2: Hifi bars.

I cannot wait for next week. DH is back to Cadets so I get my 2 SP nights a week back again!

Oh Em, hope you feel better soon!

Basin - I have no idea how I'll mainrain when I get there, haha! Official advice is apparently to have an extra B choice each day...not sure that sounds enough, though? I know some people have a few off plan meals per week, so I think I'll go down that route...might be trial and error for a bit though!

Ended up with a syn-free SW KFC tonight. The one with the couscous coating. So, so good...

I've been a bit easier on myself today after discovering I was over counting my syns.

B - toast, scrambled eggs, salmon, spinach. Coffee.
L - just lots of fruit as I was on the go and a fibre one brownie - 4 syns.
D - lean steak, SW chips, peppercorn sauce, salad, peas, mushrooms - 4 syns. And another brownie - 4 syns.

Total 12.

Can I ask how you get your SW chips to go crispy outside? Mine come out a bit soft.

Hello all, I'd like to join this thread if that's ok?

I joined SW just under two weeks ago after a bit of a health scare, and I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant so hoping to achieve a bit of damage limitation. Lost 3lb in the first week despite my toddler's 2nd birthday cake, and have my next weigh in tomorrow.

Well done losers.

Hope you feel better this morning Em

WI last night and 1.5lb loss. Steady for me -- that seems to be what I can expect. DD1 lost 4lb - she has done 7.5 lb in 2 weeks which she is really chuffed with, especially when she nearly threw in the towel the week before that when she thought she had lost, but gained 3 lb.
After WI we always have an "off-plan" meal. Last night we both chose our meals, ate and enjoyed, then checked syn values - mine was 5 syns, hers was 1.5!!! we were both highly amused that even off plan we didn't want anything crazy and feel slightly cheated of syns!! Grin
I then had a piece of chocolate tart that DH and DS had. Really disliked it. 3 months ago this would not have touched the sides! My tastes have really, really changed. I don't think I am going to do this "off plan" meal next week it is always such a disappointment. Hmm

If anyone likes coronation chicken the SW one is my most favourite thing at the moment with either jacket spud, or salad.
Today I plan on trying out the Key Lime Pie that was in the little recipe book that came with this month's magazine - I will let you know how it goes.

Just joining.

Started SW 6 weeks ago, have lost 13lbs, one more to go to target then 4 more to 10% loss.

My biggest concern is keeping it off.
Sticking to plan is working for me albeit slowly now, I guess I just need to limit how many off plan things I eat moving forward?

This thread is quite inspiring though!

Hello, all, especially new people.
Toofondofcake, to get your SW chips to crisp up, make sure they've been parboiled for long enough ( a fine line), and give them a shake in a colander to rough up the edges.
Roosters are the best potatoes for SW chips.

Morning all.

Hope you feel better soon Em and well done losers!

Feeling very out of control here. Have raging pmt but no sign of the witch just yer. We go away friday and haven't had chance to do any shopping. Was hot, fat and grumpy all day yesterday and don't feel any better this morning.

Yesterday I picked and batted about in the fridge most of the day. Mostly free food but no speed whatsoever.

And finished with fish and chips from the chippy ffs.

Am not Wi today (booked a holiday) as I know I have gained and will go on holiday sulking.

Going to try for a good day today. We are out tomorrow night for a meal then away friday to Monday.

Then a line will be drawn. I will Wi on Wednesday and start again.

And I will get to the next stone bracket in September and start October 11 St something. Which will be the first time in about 5 years.

It's just about damage limitation for the neXT few days.

Hey newbies!

Well done Positive (and DD1) and wishing! Great losses!

I finished yesterday on 10 syns in the end - off out for dinner with my dad on Friday, so trying to save a few!

This is the plan for today...

B - fruit
L - ham and mixed bean salad
D - pasta Bolognese and salad

Hifi bars as HexB, skinny latte as HexA. Creature of habit...

Hi all, I have lost a stone with SW but still have 4 to lose. I have been faffing around all summer and haven't lost anything, which isn't a surprise with all the snacks I've been having! I am starting teacher training next week and between that, DHs shifts and the kids activities I won't be able to go to meetings anymore but I really want to get back on and lose at least another couple of stone (I'll think about the last 2 when I'm a bit closer, it's too big to think about at once). Can I come and weigh in here with all of you? Has anyone tried sw online?

Welcome newbies and well done losers.

Hang in there Frouby, write yesterday off and get back on it today until you go on holiday. You know you can do it, you've done great so far, so don't be so hard on yourself.

Been awake since 5, it's sooooo hot here. I'm just glad I've lost all this weight otherwise I would have a been a fat Lemony puddle.

Going to be a long day though, so will have to have to have lots of filling and free foods to keep me from snacking in crap.

B: bacon medallions, scrambled eggs, mushrooms
D: ham and pease pudding wraps with salad and pickles
T: pasta bolognese with a fuckton of added speed, hea cheese

Not sure what I'm having for my HEB, might have some apricots.

Chewbecca · 31/08/2016 10:05

Here's my plan for day 1:
B: fruit and fibre & skimmed milk (Hex A & B)
L: jacket pot with tuna, fromage frais and veg (sweetcorn, radish, spring onion, cuce)
D: chicken, bacon & leek risotto from magazine followed by curly wurly
snacks: fruit

Sound ok? Doesn't sound like a very light day's food but I guess it is quite low in fat

Hi all, joining the thread for the first time. I've been on SW for 4 months now, lost 1st 3lb (currently 6lb away from target, although I may reduce if by another 4/5lbs) but have really lost motivation since a holiday about 6 weeks ago. I'm just hovering around the same amount gonna up and down.

Any suggestions for giving yourself a kick up the arse? I thought last weeks gain of 1.5lb would do it but just been away for a week again to visit family and fell well and truly off the wagon.

Maybe hearing some of your great food ideas may help?! Thanks

Chewbecca, your food for the day sounds lovely.
Like Emily, I might add a salad to the risotto, but maybe there's lots of speed veg in it already: I would follow the magazine recipe serving suggestion.
Like the idea of Curly Wurly for afters!

Hello new people and well done losers!

I was wondering about everyone's shopping habits. Big shops in a particular place, lots of little shops for fresh stuff, loyal to a particular supermarket, or shopping around constantly?

I am a supermarket tart. If there's an item that's on plan and I want to try it, I'll go there just for one thing. I'm currently plotting how to get to Waitrose for the frozen yogurt, as I don't drive and getting to my nearest one involves a fifteen minute walk, a twenty minute train journey and a forty minute walk at the other end. I'm thinking about buying lots of bags of ice cubes and putting it all in an insulated freezer bag. Unless of course, Ocado deliver it. Huh. Never thought of checking that.

I regularly shop in Aldi, with trips across the road to Lidl for their veg, as I find it better quality. They do a punnet of mixed colour tomatoes that's under £1 and I adore them.

Asda and Tesco shops are for branded items that I can't get elsewhere (after trying Iceland, Farmfoods and Heron Foods and the like), like Truvia sweetener, Quorn and mullerlights.

I had my first week weigh in today and I've lost 3.5lbs which I'm happy and surprised at as I didn't think I had lost anything despite having stuck to the plan like glue. I'm hoping for 4lbs next week as I'm going to centre parcs after than and want to feel like I can relax a tiny bit (but not go wild and undo my good work).

I think I could be losing more by relying on speed food more than free food. Does anyone have any ideas on relying more on speed foods? I'm breastfeeding so was told not to and to eat my full lot of syns and more healthy A etc but I didn't do that this week and think that if I do that now I'll not lose weight. Did that make any sense?
