Hi, can I join?

I have been going four weeks and lost 10lbs.

Really need some mid week support though.

Our class is so busy I never seem to get time to talk to the consultant.

Can I ask, is Total Greek 0% allowed on SP? If not how do I syn it?

Nelly - if you like Chinese try beef and green pepper in black bean sauce, it's 8 Syns so you can have half a portion of egg fried rice and still be within your 15 Syns. That's what I'm having tonight!

Report
ChessieFL · 04/06/2016 08:56

Bran - no, you can't have yoghurt on S P days. You can't syn a free food either. If you really want a yoghurt have one with Syns and count it in your syn allowance. There is some debate about whether you can do this though as there is some free food allowance in synned yoghurts (unless it's a full fat one) - some consultants say it's fine, others say you can't.

branofthemist · 04/06/2016 09:02

chessie thank you. So am I best have full fat Greek yoghurt if I want some.

I like it in overnight oats. It's quite confusing

Report
nomoreheroes · 04/06/2016 09:29

Bran, I wonder would overnight oats work with quark maybe thinned down with mill or water? Quark is a P food but to me it's quite like a thick yogurt.

Milk not Mill obviously!

Morning all welcome to the newbiesSmile

Bit of a dodgy night last night, I was exhausted as its the end of half term for us and I'd also acquired rather a lot of extra children over the last couple of days! Ended up having a picky tea in the garden which involved French bread, posh crisps and lots of dippy things and salami type meats all washed down with a bottle of prosecco (shared with dp) my god I enjoyed it though!!

So I'm having two dp days to make up for it.

B-peach apricot and tablespoon of onken vanilla yog and a Aldi bar
L-chicken and bacon club sandwich with salad
D-steak with butternut squash wedges and salad

Just catching up on thread, well done all losers! And EmilyK - looking good, lady! What a delight to be able to enjoy clothes shopping.

After a missing a week, I lost 5.5lb - so have FINALLY got my 1 stone award, which is great as I love a sticker, me! Now lost 1st. 1lb. Feel good. Anybody got any favourite quick and easy recipes to keep me on track this week?

EmilyK83 · 04/06/2016 10:15

You can pull it back, Butt!

Thanks Mam - and that's a cracking loss!

Today's plan for me:

B - apricots and pistachios (half HexB)

L - jacket potato with beans and salad (no butter, no dressing) - meeting a friend for lunch

D - chicken satay (need to work out syns, using reduced fat peanut butter) and veggie chow mein

Will have an Alpen Light as the other half of my HexB, and a skinny latte for my HexA...

Just posting as I've had my 12 week scan and there's definitely a healthy baby in there (and just one yay) - my weight's been fairly stable so I'm happy with that. When I feel less nauseous I will get back on plan Grin

Hi all. I'm hoping for a big loss this week after putting on 1.5lbs last week and having the week off. I've got a stomach bug which may help as I've barely been able to eat for 2 days! Every cloud and all that. Feel like crap though!

Aww lovely Oriana. 😍

Welcome newbies.

Mam, what about chicken chow mein? I make mine in the slow cooker and it's a hit in this household

Diced chicken breast
Bag of stir fry veg
Any extra veg you fancy
800ml chicken stock
Soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Chinese 5 spice

Cook for 2 hours, then add noodles and cook for a further 30/45 minutes. I usually add dry noodles and give it a stir every now and then to make sure they've absorbed all the liquid

Had a sneaky WI this morning, looking good for my Tuesday WI.

B: bacon, egg and mushroom double decker (crustless wholemeal HEB), pear and orange
D: ham and egg salad
T: Tesco chicken tikka steaks (surprisingly free), baked potato with HEA cheese, salad

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Hope you feel better soon Helen

Seem to have lost my SW mojo this week. Feel v tired all the time and my foot recovery is so slooooooow. Do OK during the day and then in the evening I just keep snacking.

However, I've not put on anything, just not lost anything - and my jeans are all comfortable (or too big) rather than cutting me in half when I sit down, so I shall celebrate that til I get my mojo back Grin

Feel better soon Helen - and sorry to hear that foot's still causing you problems Rupeo!

Had a comedy lunch trip earlier. The girl I met goes to the Tues evening group - same consultant as my Tues morning group. Both groups share a FB page, we got talking through there and decided to meet up for the first time today.

Restaurant we went to is somewhere she used to love, but it's under new ownership. We ordered our food (standard SW style - no butter, no cheese, no salad dressing etc) and they got both orders wrong - my plain jacket came with both cheese and butter and we sent them back. Then ended up with seriously sulky waiters who obviously blamed is and not themselves...and when we were paying there were 2 other tables sending food back because it was wrong! Comedy of errors!

Feel better now for having a good day today. Had nothing for breakfast or lunch as I was still podge from 2 massive meals yesterday! Just had tea which was a fuck ton of salad, salmon and new potatoes. Had HeA in coffee and 2 hifi for B choice in a bit. And 8 syns worth of gin and tonic.

Have a feeling tomorrow will be a bbq day so will be salad and lean meat so probably an sp day.

Aaaawww oriana so gorgeous!

I've been so good today stuck to sp day and had 8 syns. I'm feeling very "picky" tonight though, I'm not hungry I'm just really craving sugar, I'm like an ant. I think I'm going to have an early night before I fall snout first in to the biscuit tin.

ALemonyPea · 04/06/2016 22:08

Haha Butt, you made me laugh saying you're like an ant Grin

Ive had a good day. Been to the park with the DC And my legs are aching from swinging myself on a swing.

I'm a bit picky myself tonight, have 9 syns left but unsure what I want, if anything. It's a bit late now for anything.

Evening all. Congrats Oriana, hope you and babs are well!

Been having an ok Sp day today until tonight - DH went to bakery for bread, cupcakes, pie and sausage rolls for him and kids at lunchtime. I resisted all the goodies Halo and stuck with my planned sausage, eggs, beans, tomato and mushroom. Dinner was a little more synful than planned...chicken and bacon salad with avocado and feta. And 3/4 bottle some white wine. I will have to do a week or two off the booze before we go on hols (6 weeks from today) as I want to be about 10-12lbs lighter (so I can gain 4 or 5lbs). Do the rest of you struggle to forego booze? What's your tipple of choice and has it changed since you started SW? I want to like spirits but I just love wine with my dinner on the weekend. Confused

Report
froubylou · 05/06/2016 07:06

No more it was the booze that mainly got me fat I think. I love a can or 2 of lager. And the odd glass of wine. By glass I mean bottle obvs.

Now I drink gin and fever tree naturally light tonic. I do like it but some days really miss the other stuff. But at 9 syns a can the gin is much better value.

I really wish dp would drop the lager too. He has a massive beer belly and won't admit it's the beer. Am hoping once I am a skinny minny he drops some off just to be competitive lol.

I rarely drink now, partly due to slimming world but mainly because the kids get me up so blooming early it's just not worth feeling even the tiniest bit delicate!!
When I go out I have vodka and diet coke or I will relax a bit and have a bit of wine with dinner.

I'm planning a barbecue today, I need to plan some really nice stuff because I'm tired and when I'm tired I find it so hard to stay on plan. Does anyone have any gorgeous bbq ideas?
