First timer here. I like the idea that with SW you can have good size portions. However just need some help. If a recipe ( I have got 100 Extra Easy days book) says 'serves 4', then can DH and I just share that? So effectively we have 2 portions each? Does that still work with SW?

WingDefence · 18/07/2016 16:19

Hi all - sorry I've not been around for ages. Lost 1/5lbs today which I'm v happy with as I food optimised as much as I could at my 2-day conference last week but still succumbed to a couple of glasses of wine and some sticky toffee pudding etc...

Will try to catch up on posts. Welcome to the new posters :)

TobleroneBoo · 18/07/2016 17:12

I'm 2.2lbs down this week, despite enjoying a kfc Grin we had a money off voucher and it would have been a shame to waste it

ALemonyPea · 18/07/2016 18:58

Welcome newbies.

Willow, that would work fine. If there are any syns, remember to double them if having half instead of a quarter.

Have drank so much water today, so hot! Having an SP day today

B: fruit and a Hifi bar
D: mushroom, courgette, ham and spring onion omelette with hea cheese
T: gammon, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and turnip mash
2nd HEB was hifi bar.

I've had no syns today, I'm too hot to have anything else to eat today as well.

calzone · 18/07/2016 22:01

Joanne......it's about getting your head in the whole losing weight game.....

Focus on why you want to lose weight.

B.....spinach & bacon omelette, fruit and yoghurt
L....Apple and Sharon fruit
D....salmon with SW sauce, chips and mushy peas, roasted cauliflower
Fruit with 35g cereal and yoghurt

Well done Wing and Toblerone, nice losses!

Lemony - I used 5 syns on froyo tonight, definitely hit the spot!

Tons more water before bed for me, then weigh in tomorrow morning. And it's going to be a scorcher of a day by all accounts!

ALemonyPea · 18/07/2016 22:13

I really wanted an ice cream for 6 syns, but all week I've stopped eating at 7, and this was half 8, so didn't have it. Will have it tomorrow for definite. Going to be scorchio!

emwithme · 18/07/2016 22:35

Well it took me far too long to eat the scan bran last night with just quark so today I've made it into "overnight oats" (but only left for 3 hours as made it after work for pudding). It was OK (and yes, I do mean that to mean wank). I have it for breakfast tomorrow too.

Back to work today after my week off also decidedly wank

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Beef salad, apple, pear, satsumas (3 satsumas had at least 50 bloody seeds in)
Dinner: Bolognaise with butternut squoodles. "overnight oats" with yoghurt and frozen berries for pudding.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Scan Bran (day 2)

Willow33 · 18/07/2016 22:47

ALemonyPea thank you.

maygirl · 18/07/2016 23:11

I'm off to waitrose for Froyo tomorrow!
B porridge, banana, apple, cinnamon, half HeA milk
L cous cous, salad, ham, harissa 1syn
Cherries, orange
D lentil bolognaise, salad, other half heA cheese
Cashews 6 syns
Walkers baked 5 syns
Crackers 4 syns
Star week and gone carb crazy!
Hopefully mojo will return once its over with Hmm

joanneandflynn · 19/07/2016 07:49

EmilyK83 · 19/07/2016 10:07

Post holiday weigh in and I've lost 1lb!! Whoop whoop!!

bellakjo · 19/07/2016 12:16

Hi all. Finding this thread really inspiring! This may be a silly question but I feel I don't seem to be eating any fat on extra easy. Is this ok? Thought low fat was ok but not no fat?

ALemonyPea · 19/07/2016 12:47

Well done Emily.

I've also lost 1lb. Bit gutted as been good all week and was hoping I'd lose the 3.5 for my 2.5 stone award. But onwards and downwards I go, should get it by the time I go on holiday in two weeks and hopefully be in the the next stone bracket down.

B: nothing as was at wi
D: ham and pease pudding salad, fruit, yoghurt
T: seafood rice stir fry
Unsure on syns or healthy extras. Too hot to even contemplate.

WingDefence · 19/07/2016 13:05

Well done Emily and Toblerone!

Loving this heat today but it's due to rain later and the temperature drop right down tomorrow with more rain. Is this the one day of summer...?!

We had a coffee morning at church yesterday so I celebrated my loss (1.5 not 0.5 as I typed!) by making sure the choc orange brownies and amazing caramel-topped flapjacks were good enough to service Grin Back on it today though.

B 2x weetabix and skimmed milk plus blueberries (need to go speed fruit shopping) hexa and hexb
L big chicken salad with 1.5 syns 30% red fat salad cream

Away in Pembrokeshire next week with DH, DCs and my DPs. Not holding much hope out for food optimising not because I want to go crazy (I don't) but because it will probably be too easy to stick extra sauce on, have cheese in meals, fattier meat etc as well as the eating out. And all with a constant message of 'but you're on holiday' from my DPs... Hmm

Will make sure frylight is on the shopping list!

WingDefence · 19/07/2016 13:09

Well done ALemon - I know this won't help but a loss is still a loss? And I find that when I have tried hard and don't get the loss I want, if I do the same the next week I get a really good loss so keep going - you've done brilliantly!

EmilyK83 · 19/07/2016 13:11

Well done Lemony! Maybe the bigger loss is just waiting till next week to show itself?

Wing - reckon you can still stick to 1/3 speed while away? I think that's what helped me when I was on hols last week...

Today's plan:

B - nothing - weigh in
L - seafood stir fry
D - leftover beef and bean hotpot with veg

A Hifi and an Alpen Light as my HexB, and I'm trying a different HexA - bought some Koko coconut milk with chocolate, 225ml for A choice, so excited to try it! If it's good I might even mix it with a vanilla muller light and try making it into ice cream...

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 19/07/2016 13:40

Thanks for the welcome! Smile

Think I've mildly ballsed up today by eating a slice of the only bread I had in the house, thinking it could be my HE. It wasn't, as was seeded instead of wholemeal, so was about 6 Syns (I think).

Anyway, today was:

B: eggs fried in fry lite, baked beans, cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks.

L: free homemade lentil soup plus slice of the offending bread.

D will be: paella made with free stuff (fruits de mer, stock, rice and veggies), plus a splash of sherry and some rocket on the side, (which I'll be washing after hearing something on the news about E. coli)!

Snacks: buckets of water - it is so hot here! Also some fruit and milky tea / coffee (using 175ml whole milk from HE). My bready / cerealy HE I will just give a miss today due to aforementioned balls up.

Think that's a total of 7 Syns.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 19/07/2016 13:41

Oh also I've tried that Koko milk with coconut - it's nice I think, a lot like a chocolate milkshake. Didn't realise you could have as HE!
