I will be at IKEA over lunch time so no idea what I can eat at their cafe!!

Colourfulpast1975 · 02/06/2016 09:17

Hope you don't mind me asking but when you say "having a sp day", do you mean not having any carbs...just veg and chicken for exemple ? Thank you

ALemonyPea · 02/06/2016 10:01

SP days you have 1 X HEA, 2 X HEB, plates are half protein and at least half speed foods, 15 syns and no other free foods. In your book it'll be all the foods marked P and S you can have. Watch what fruit and veg you have as not all are S.

Trying to plan my day, might have an SP day myself. Can't decide.

nomoreheroes · 02/06/2016 10:28

Hulababy, I was at Ikea the other day and really wanted to eat meatballs but I resisted and had the salad with salmon (or is it gravadlax?). Teeny tiny portion though. There is a salad bar (though quite a lot are covered in mayo) and there's usually a soup as well, and also lots of fruit. I would just avoid the hot food!

After weigh-in last night I had a couple of treats (bread, cheese and chocolate) so back on track today:

B Porridge (hexb) with milk (hexa), berries, banana
L Leftover prawn and veg risotto from last night's dinner
D Not sure yet - maybe meatballs and spaghetti, but definitely something pasta based

Syns - 1 syn for laughing cow light in risotto
Not sure what else - some cheese on the pasta or a little beverage later - maybe nothing as will probably do my usual "blow all the syns at once" on Friday/Saturday night!

KittyOShea · 02/06/2016 11:06

B- porridge, raspberries, yoghurt, grapefruit
L- leftover curry from last night, fruit
D- going out so going to make a healthy choice and use my syns for Wine

BasinHaircut · 02/06/2016 11:09

Just checking in. I'm still technically AWOL!

Although I've just had this terrible D&V bug and lost 6lbs almost over night Grin

Going on holiday next week and DH and I both plan to hit SW hard when we get home so I'll be back soon!

Hope everyone is doing ok I haven't been keeping up Blush

ALemonyPea · 02/06/2016 11:49

Hope you're feeling better Basin

Decided to go for an SP day today. Anything to push me through to the next stone bracket and get my 1.5 stone award.

B: Porridge (half HEB and half HEA as made a small bowl), strawberries, melon, pear, orange
D: Ryvita (HEB), laughing cow triangles (other half HEA), ham, carrot stick, beetroot and pickled onions
T: Chicken (1 syn for marinade), cauli rice with added veg

S: 1 hifi for other half of 2nd HEB

Still have 14 syns, not sure what to use them on.

EmilyK83 · 02/06/2016 11:53

Hope you're feeling ok now Basin!

May do an SP day too today. Really not with it at the moment when it comes to meal planning...

B - fruit
L - ham salad
D - cauliflower pizza and salad

Alpen Lights for first HexB, pistachios for second. And a skinny latte at my meeting later as my HexA...

No idea on syns. Only had 2 yesterday, just wasn't hungry!!!

emwithme · 02/06/2016 12:27

So having had the in-laws visit for a few days (and all the associated drinking and cake) it was back on plan on Tuesday to try to minimise gains...and it appears to have worked. WI this morning and gained only one pound. Very very pleased with that.

Post weigh-in: half a dozen Iceland meatballs, handful of cherry tomatoes
Lunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato
Dinner: Chili con carne and rice.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Hulababy · 02/06/2016 15:18

Nomoreheroes - I went for the cooked salmon with potatoes and green beans, and a fruit pot.

I'm sure they will have been oil or something in the potatoes and salmon but seemed the better of the options at the time.

Buttwing · 02/06/2016 15:25

Hope you feel better baisin, nothing like a bit of d and v to kick start the weightlossWink

Not really been hungry today, feeling a bit down on the dumps.

B- coffee
L-pineapple, yogurt and a hifi
D-not sure maybe left over spag Bol from last night.

calzone · 02/06/2016 16:16

B.....zoats with apple and quark
Mango

L....packet couscous with ham and tomatoes and roasted vegetables
Yoghurt

D....turkey burgers and salad
Banana

Am trying to eat in a mindful way this week.

BasinHaircut · 02/06/2016 17:26

Yes feeling loads better thanks but still can't eat much.

That's what I was thinking butt, it's a shame we are away next week as it would have been a good incentive to get back on plan! Grin

Hulababy · 02/06/2016 18:58

B: eggy bread, couple of small oranges and grapes

L: at IKEA so limited - salmon, new potatoes and green beans; fruit pot

D: pasta with a creamy tomato sauce made with onion, garlic, sweet corn, basil mushrooms, tin tomorrow's and fromage frais. Dessert - yogurt and berries.

HEa - milk
HEb - bread

They'll have been syns in the lunch due to however they cooked it. I asked for it without hollandaise but assume there was probably oil or some form of fat for cooking the salmon and possible the potatoes.

Colourfulpast1975 · 02/06/2016 19:05

Feeling a bit down, I went to the meeting and I haven't lost any weight...I more or less expected it as I comforted food last week end but still the same ☹️

Buttwing · 02/06/2016 19:55

Aldi are selling multipacks of flakes and twirls at the moment, they are a bit smaller than a regular bar but still a decent size. They are 6 syns, just had a twirl with a cup of tea- bloomin lovely!

froubylou · 02/06/2016 20:01

Just cooking tea and really looking forward to it. I am having roast potatoes so not an sp day but will be the only free food I have today so not too bad.

Does anyone else look at the photos on the sw local fb page and think that the consultant should maybe pm the members sometimes? Just seen someones 'healthy, on plan' tea. It was 2 salmon fillets, about 10 new potatoes, a tiny little side salad and a fuck ton of grated cheese on top. It would have been fine with a lot more salad but definitely no where near 1/3 of a plate.

nomoreheroes · 02/06/2016 20:49

Grin fuck ton of potatoes lol froubylou, this is why SW never clicked with me before. I'm a complete carboholic and I fooled myself that I was having enough speed but I just wasn't, no way. I am now learning to control my carb addiction and the greedy gut inside me that just wants to eat and eat past bursting point. I feel I'm in a better mindset now and rarely have a fuck ton (is that metric or imperial? Confused) of anything any more. except wine

froubylou · 02/06/2016 21:02

Me too no more. I try and eat my speed first now and genuinely don't eat as much free food that way.

Just had a fuck ton (metric) of sprouts, cabbage and broccoli with my chicken and potatoes so 1. I didn't eat hardly any potatoes and 2. The quilt will be lifting tonight. Poor dp. I always blame him.

Sleeplessinmybedroom · 02/06/2016 21:14

Hi, I kept meaning to post on the last thread but it moved too fast. I've been going to sw for 4 months and got my 2.5st award tonight. I'm so happy I walked through the door that first night. I'm really starting to notice a difference now. Still a long way to go to get to goal.

ALemonyPea · 02/06/2016 21:14

Sprouts AND cabbage Frouby? You'll be parpy tonight Grin

I have PCOS so carbs cling to me like needy toddlers. SP days will help I hope.

ALemonyPea · 02/06/2016 21:17

Well done Sleepless

Colourful, don't be too hard on yourself. You know where you went wrong, rectify it this week. At least it wasn't a gain.

EmilyK83 · 02/06/2016 21:28

Wow, well done Sleepless, that's brilliant!

And Colourful - exactly what Lemony said. You know how to make sure this week's a cracker, which is what matters!

Awesome NSV for me today. Went out in a pair of size 10 skinny jeans!!!

emwithme · 02/06/2016 21:47

Yay Emily that is fabulous. I think I'd have to remove my thigh muscles to get into a size 10; I am a chunky monkey and always have been, built like my (6ft 2in) dad and (6ft 4in) brother rather than my (5 ft 2.5in) mum. I don't carry it badly (I'm a smidge under 5ft 7in) but definitely broad shoulders/hips...big boned! I am never going to be skinny, I just don't want to be fat any more.

My consultant picks people up - in a nice way - on their plate proportions in our FB group, and other members do too. Someone posted a picture of her "100% on plan" breakfast that still had the fat on the bacon and the only speed on there was about 1/12 plate of mushrooms. It was just a nice reminder to have more speed ("Why don't you add some tomatoes - tinned are OK") and that the meat should be "all visible fat removed". A discussion then started about whether it was OK to cook the bacon with the fat and then give it to the dog/cat/husband or whether you should trim it before cooking. The consensus was that grilled it's OK to cook with but frying (even with frylight) you should remove beforehand.

I quite like having a metric fuckton of potatoes, particularly jerseys. I have a very soft spot for jersey royals. These days, however, I don't tend to have them coated in an imperial fuckton of butter. I always have a load of veg (always have - Dad was a greengrocer so it's natural for me to have lots of veg) too, so my plates are always well-balanced. I just need to stop eating when I'm bored/tired/angry/emotional and stop when I'm bloody full - no matter how delicious it is!

ALemonyPea · 02/06/2016 21:58

Just had a yummy Twix ice cream bar, 6 syns. Enjoyed every last mouthful.
