Quiet in here today. I've been having a bad day, managed to stay within my syns, just feel starving.

Made those sweet corn fritters, they're OK, need a bit more practice I think.

B: Sweetcorn fritters, ham, mushrooms and peppers
D: prawn stir fry
T: SW chicken chow mein
Hifi bar as HEB, not had hea
Syns spent on biscuits.

I got back on track today
B- porridge, yoghurt, fruit
L- fruit, breakfast muffin
D- SW paella- yummy

Syns- 2 sugar, 2 chorizo in paella, 5 slice of bread and butter and planning a hi fi (3) with a cuppa now.

I've been doing really well this week, hardly any syns consumed and I've just blown it by having a bowl of cereal and eating popcorn!!!! My stomach hurts so much - why do I keep jeopardising my losses?? Angry I am so desperate to loose weight but I've a lot on my mind and don't cope with stresses well Sad

Evening all

Funny busy day today. Had plenty of body magic with one thing and another and not much food. But will be over on syns due to uN planned chinese food. Sigh.

B. Coffee
L. Hifi bar
T. Beef and black bean sauce, handful of chips, Singapore fried rice. But I had about 1/3 of a portion of each so not absolutely horrendous.

So fed up
I think i must be doing this all wrong
Since 15th June I have only lost 1 lb
I'm trying so hard but it's so slow I'm losing hope
I've still got loads to lose
Other than wine at the weekends no syns
Very little bread
Lots of apples are they my downfall?
Can't help but feel I've substituted one type of food from another think I'm still really over eating

Sounbelievably have you kept a diary? Are you replacing 1/3 of what you would eat with speed? Not eating 1/3 extra of speed food? Are you snacking on speed first? Are you mixing your speed up and having plenty of veg and not just extra fruit?

How much wine are you having at a weekend? Is your free food all genuinely free? So every bit of fat removed etc. You also do need to have 5-15 syns a day.

I swapped wine to gin and slimline tonic as I can't have wine and lose weight. I end up going way over on my syns.

Sounbelievablydull, something's going wrong here.
It could be any one of a number of things, so make sure your food diary is completed honestly, and ask your consultant to check it and advise you.
The apples won't be the problem.
You do need to have your syns: that's part of the plan, to keep your metabolism ticking over.
This can be sorted with the help of your consultant, so don't give up; it's probably something easily changed to put you on the right path.

I'm baaaaack!! 10 day holiday completely off plan (but no booze as it was too hot to drink). Flight got in late last night, scales this morning are showing a 4lb gain. Hoping some of that is water retention from the flight, but even if it's not, I don't really mind - was well worth it! Weigh in's not till Tues, so I have a few days to try and pull some of that gain back.

Well done to all the losers! About to start meal planning for the next few days - straight back on it this morning!

Done a bit of shopping, so today's meal plan is as follows...

B - raspberries and fat free cherry yoghurt
L - ham and egg salad
D - seafood stir fry with noodles

Cheestrings as HexA, Alpen Lights as HexB. Aiming for around 5 syns of treats but will try and snack on fruit!

L- smoked salmon and salad sandwich (hexb)
D- chicken and veg in a tarragon and mustard sauce with salad and rice

Syns- 2 sugar, 2 Mayo, 3 hi fi

4lb gain after 10 days off plan isn't too bad at all. You'll lose that in no time. Hope you had a fab time on holiday.

Wish my periods were reliable so I could put my hunger down to being due on. As it is, I have one a year if that. I'm just so hungry this week, and struggling, but haven't swayed yet.

Sounbelievably, are you spending all your 105 syns on wine at the weekend and having none at all during the week? That could possibly be it. Also, just because a food is free, doesn't make it calorie free,mso eating masses of apples, the calories soon add up. Can you share a typical day so we can perhaps see where you may be going wrong?

Yes I will am at a wedding today so a bit out of my control
But typical work day is
Bf an apple
Lunch mug shot and an apple
Dinner something like chicken no skin veg and pasta
Snacks Apple X1
So all week like this
Then Friday say I have wine as syns but in all honesty do not count them
I need to as they are v likely the problem plus v little exercise

Sound it sounds like you are not getting enough speed food. Maybe mix up your fruit a bit and try having a salad with your mug shot?

Saving syns only worked for me at the beginning- after that having them all the weekend resulted in a maintain or a small gain. I'd suggest adding some syns during the day. It doesn't look like you're using your hexa or hexb either.

You don't seem to be eating much: I couldn't get by on such small meals!
Hope you will ask your consultant to help put you straight.

I agree, you don't seem to be eating enough. You need to eat more speed foods, and don't limit yourself to boring 'diet' food. There are plenty of things you can eat, and you shouldn't stop yourself the odd syn treat.

Ok, I need some PMT hunger ideas.

Past two days have been RAVENOUS. Would happily eat 20 Krispy Creme donuts. Several times a day. I've given in a bit and had about 40 syns of choc and ice cream both days. Probably got 1 more day of full on hormonal hunger then WI on Tuesday night.

Any tips for hunger satisfying trashy food in case I'm still on the rampage?

Then what? No syns for a few days?

Do you think I could at least maintain on Tuesday?

Have you got a Waitrose near you? If so, buy their chocolate froyo. 15 syns for the whole tub, and tastes like a really rich chocolate ice cream. So good...

My 4lb holiday gain is showing as a 2.5lb gain this morning, so am definitely chalking some of it up to water retention!

Today's plan:

L - mixed bean and speed food salad with ham
D - Moroccan beef and couscous with salad

Alpen Lights as HexB, skinny latte as HexA. Finished yesterday on 5 syns, aiming for the same today...

Wow Emily, I hope my weight gain when I go on holiday will be the same. I doubt it as I put weight on really easily. One sniff of a cake and I gain a pound.

Should come off easily though, and I'll be doing a lot of walking.

B: fruit, yoghurt, hifi bar
D: omelette with courgette, mushrooms, spring onions, ham and hea cheese
T: seafood stir fry rice

No idea about syns, might have a low syn day tosay because I've used most of them every day since Tuesday.

Lemony - think it was the walking and swimming that saved me...too many days of ice cream for breakfast, plenty of pastries, white pitta breads, hummus, cakes and cheese! It actually feels really good to be back on plan tbh!

Apparently an extra 500 calories consumed each day (3500 extra in a week) will lead to a 1lb weight gain in that week...just need to counter extra calories with exercise and it's all good!

Afternoon all

I would be chuffed with a 2.5lb gain! I bet I put that on in a day on holiday lol.

Had a lovely curry last night. Will have been over on syns but so worth it.

Todays plan

B. Cofee
L. Small brown roll, ham and salad with a blob of salad cream. I don't usually have bread but it was bloody lovely!
T. Baked potato, tuna, sweetcorn and a fuck ton of salad.

Not sure on rest of my syn's yet. I used to save them for 2 g and ts but cutting down on the alcohol and trying for a couple of booze free nights over the weekend. Just bought some cans of diet coke but am not sure that it's any better for you.
