Morning all

Just done a biggish shop and bought loads of veg. Fed up of salad.

Had a NSV yesterday when someone I haven't seen for a while commented I had lost weight so that's good!

B. Coffee
L. Dunno. Either veg stir fry or a fancy salad with new potatoes, tuna and anchovies.
T. Haddock, alldaveg, and new potatoes with a chilli sauce.

Heb will be hifi and a in coffee. Not sure syn's yet. It's Wi tomorrow so am trying to keep them low.

WingDefence · 12/07/2016 13:07

Hi Hula and well done!

Another NSV for me - I have had a dress that I bought YEARS ago sitting in my wardrobe because I bought it so long ago when it was tight and slinky but then grew fatter and never lost it. I tried it on last night out of interest and guess what - it fits! And is actually a bit loose!! Grin

It's lovely and smart so I shall be wearing it tomorrow to present at the conference I'm going to. In front of a few hundred people... I think it will give me a boost of confidence :)

B Overnight oats with FF yog, nectarine and strawberries. Thicker than when I do it with muller lights but still really nice.
L 1/2 cauliflower with HexA 30g cheddar melted on top. So good.
D Slow cooker lamb casserole thing I made up with what was in the cupboards. With cabbage and poss mashed potatoes.

pippinandtog · 12/07/2016 13:19

Hope you won't mind me asking what's NSV?

WingDefence · 12/07/2016 13:26

Sorry pippin - non scales victory so perhaps someone noticing you've lost weight, or clothes fitting again/buying new clothes in a smaller size or being able to run for longer without stopping that sort of thing :)

pippinandtog · 12/07/2016 13:28

Oh, I see.
I understood the meaning from your context, but just couldn't figure what the letters stood for!

WingDefence · 12/07/2016 13:37

It took me a while when I first saw it too! I've celebrated with a 4 syn pack of haribo starmix minis. Yum :)

ALemonyPea · 12/07/2016 15:15

3lbs off for me this week. No idea how as I've eaten most of my syns every day. Not complaining though. Feeling elated. Starving now as been on the go all day and not had anything to eat apart from an apple and hifi bar.

KittyOShea · 12/07/2016 16:24

Congrats to all the losers.

I've lost my way a wee bit in the last couple of weeks- sisters wedding and birthday didn't help- tons of Wine and meals out.

Weigh in tomorrow so going to try and get back on track after the damage which will be at least 3lbs on I reckon and probably a lot more.

Then I head on hols next Tuesday including nieces wedding. Life is conspiring to make me put on weight.

Despite all this I need to remember I have lost over 3 and a half stone and gone from an obese to a healthy bmi so need to be on track when I can!

KatyLovesKats · 12/07/2016 18:43

Hello all, can I join please? I am trying to lose a stone and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the messages on this thread!

Was my third weigh in today... I lost 2.5lbs last week, and a pound today... but I would love chomp my way through something deliciously scrummy and sticky and chewy!!! Instead I've put some fish in the oven and we're having that tonight with potatoes, corn on the cob and some peas from the freezer...

eeyoredebbie · 12/07/2016 22:33

Katy how about a curly wurly?

Aspergallus · 12/07/2016 23:02

2lbs off at WI! I'm now 1 stone down in 6 weeks :-)

Deeeeelighted!

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2016 06:10

Lots of good loses carrying in here. Well done.

WI last night and I was 2.5lb down. Grin Just 2lb off my first stone mark now.
We had a taster session last night and lots of people took in cakes and yummies, but I found I was really disappointed with the cakes and much preferred the fruit. I would NEVER have said that a month ago! I took in a load of sweetcorn and spring onion fritters which everyone raved about. I love them and so easy and quick to make AND FREE!!! Yay!!!

Off on holiday on Monday so I am trying to stick strictly to plan until then, then make as good choices as possible, (within reason) and minimise the damage for the WI the week after.

ALemonyPea · 13/07/2016 07:40

Well done Losers.

What's the recipe for your fritters Positive? They sound lovely.

WingDefence · 13/07/2016 08:30

Ditto ALemon on losses and fritters!

Another day another train journey... Had my breakfast in the car park again. Overnight oats with FF Greek yog, nectarine and strawbs. Half my oats allowance and three scan brans that needed using, plus a sprinkling of sweetener. It was a bit thick but still very tasty. Think I'm going to need to drink a lot of water today! I'm hoping there will be some healthy options at this conference otherwise I will be hunting down fruit as I'm determined to stay on plan.

Comeonmommy · 13/07/2016 10:58

Can you freeze Greek yoghurt?

pippinandtog · 13/07/2016 11:02

Not tried that,Comeonmommy.
You could have a go, but it usually has a good use by date anyway.
I've only frozen it when it's been used in a cooked dish, eg a pasta bake.

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2016 16:10

Fritter are:

3 eggs beaten
A tin sweetcorn
Chopped spring onions
Salt & pepper

Wizz it all together in a blender. Using spray 1 cal spray to coat a frying pan, add dollops (tablespoon size) into pan and turn when browned on first side.
Eat hot or cold.

Yummy!!!! Easy!!! Cheap!!! "Free"!!!!! Grin

pippinandtog · 13/07/2016 16:13

I'll make some of those, Positive: did you use a small or large tin of sweetcorn?

KittyOShea · 13/07/2016 17:43

2.5 lbs on which isn't too terrible considering I haven't been in 2 weeks and they were 2 weeks of excess!!

Back on it to try and lose them before next weeks hols!

froubylou · 13/07/2016 19:07

0.5 off which I am happy with. It's not a great loss but it's thank fuck week and I was off plan most of the weekend so can stick with that!

B. Coffee
L. Jacket potato with bbq sauce, chicken, bacon and cheese with salad!
T. Roast chicken, veg, little roast potatoes and gravy. Syns in gravy and bbq sauce. And my luffley gin and tonic.

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2016 20:57

pippin it was 340g tin of sweetcorn.

Just made a really yummy jelly mousse with jelly crystals and whipped yogurt. It whipped up to a massive bowl full so plenty left for tomorrow with some fruit for breakfast
And a massive plate of chicken burger, chips and courgette for tea. I am a piggy and I love being able to be full and satisfied with the food. Normally on a diet I feel deprived and end up bingeing.

pippinandtog · 13/07/2016 21:03

Thank you, will try those fritters at home, then probably for next taster, as you did.

pippinandtog · 13/07/2016 21:05

Forgot to say, Positive, DH and I are both piggies.
That's why we love Slimming World.

maygirl · 13/07/2016 22:37

Well done all on losses and nsvs!
I'm struggling, been stupidly busy, stressed about new job decisions, DH away, and passing by a date i'd hoped to be at target for have really knocked me for six. I've stopped keeping food diary/coming on here, stopped tracking syns, and comfort eating/drinking.
Couldn't weigh in tonight as DH away but think have gained about 2.5 pounds.
Hope can sort out my head next week when DC and I will be on school hols and busyness side will subside .

On-plan meals, but over syns today with stupid post dinner snacking on cheese and crackers, something that I'd never normally be tempted by in the slightest! And had mid week wine, which usually avoid .
B 2 egg omelette filled with rocket
L heB wrap with prawns and salad, raw carrots , free yogurt
Sn ham slice, cherry tomatoes
D veg curry, rice
HeA milk
All the cheese, crackers and wine :(

nomoreheroes · 13/07/2016 23:26

Hello all, glad to hear those great losses for some of you, and lots of empathy for those of you who haven't lost. I stayed the same this week. I really wasn't that bad, very much on plan with syn free or low syn meals, 3 SP days in a row but a lot of wine at the weekend. Didn't keep a good diary which I'm usually very diligent about even if I'm taking the piss with syns. Also due my period any time so I guess there's a few reasons/excuses. Next week I'm on holidays so will not be on plan but I'll do my best to make healthier choices. I'm intending to track Thursday and Friday properly and get straight back on plan the day after we get back. And will go and face the music at group, however bad it might be. Just really need a holiday though, and need to relax and enjoy good weather, good good and good wine with my lovely family. Smile
