Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Yesterday was going well until I opened some wine then had s big bowl of Ben and Jerry's :(

Today has been better though
B - muller Greek yoghurt & fruit
L - huge salad with chicken (Mayo 2)
S- birthday cake (8?)
D - probably spaghetti bolognese

It's weigh in tonight, I'm in two minds whether to go as its not been a good week

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 15:25

Does my food diary look OK for an SP day?

Just been for a huge walk, lots of hills, so that's my body magic done for today.

nomoreheroes · 30/05/2016 16:12

Yes Lemony, that looks good, lots of speed in there. Think you can count your hifi bars as your second hexb unless you're saving it for something else? I've got an SP friendly bacon and butter bean soup on the go in preparation for tomorrow's lunch. Also chucked in some roasted red peppers, onions, carrots, tinned toms and stock. Oh and 2 sub free sausages that were on the verge of being binned! So filling and tasty and a good vehicle for using up veg. Anything with beans is good for filling you without carbs.

Does anyone think it's a bad idea on an SP to miss out on your hexb 2 by the way? If we are talying pure calories I'd rather have a banana tbh.

nomoreheroes · 30/05/2016 16:18

Not sub free - syn free obviously! Silly auto correct...

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 16:19

Yes, sorry, HEB will be the two hifi bars, don't like wasting my syns on those.

Essexbluebell · 30/05/2016 16:33

Hi everyone, I've been reading the thread for a while now, I started s/w 3 weeks ago and had my WI today. I've now lost 12 lbs. it amazed me in the beginning how much I could eat. I do feel much better and have been plagued with chronic back and hip pain for nearly 2 years. I use my exercise bike 15mins every morning (exc Saturday's) and between that and s/w I haven't had to take any pain meds for 2 weeks. I was over 17st when I joined. I'm eating loads of fruit and trying to eat more veg. I've almost given up my terrible snacking addiction and don't seem to be missing it too much. I wanted to say thanks for sharing, you've all been an inspiration - oh and had me laughing too.

B- 0% natural yog, grapes and strawberries
L - seeded bagel (11) lean ham, cucumber
D - lean roast beef, s/w roasts, cabbage, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, gravy(2)
Snack - vodka, lime soda (3.5) beef space raiders (3)
Total Syns 19.5

maygirl · 30/05/2016 17:32

Hey katenka, been wondering where you had got to! You can do it!
On hol for few days, trying my best, self catering and got loads of healthy stuff in. But having a break from writing it all down, it drives me crazy sometimes lol! Have great weeks all!
Great start Essex!

Twinklestar2 · 30/05/2016 17:53

My menu today

Fruit and fibre and skimmed (a and b)

Spinach and onion omelette

Chicken stir fry

Snacked on crisps and a biscuit.

Still have one hex b left if needed Grin

OrianaBanana · 30/05/2016 18:02

Nearly need a new thread! Still here, still watching, still sick Envy lol

froubylou · 30/05/2016 18:02

Hmmph.

Had tea out and didn't enjoy it. Steak, jacket potato and salad. Measly little pot of.salad and steak was on one of those stupid sizzler plates that you can't even look at without singeing your eyebrows.

And I had scrambled eggs and beans for breakfast. So I feel like I have hardly had any speed food at all today.

And I will be hungry later on and have limited supplies in.

nomoreheroes · 30/05/2016 18:19

That's annoying froubylou. But you've hardly had any syns by the look of it. Just have whatever you've got in the house and tomorrow is another day. I'd have toast with real butter and jam if I had syns to spare. GrinGrin

froubylou · 30/05/2016 18:24

I would love toast and jam but am off bread atm. Sigh.

I might have a g and t that always cheers me up! And still have my B choice to go at so I have a couple of options.

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 18:40

Welcome Essex.

Katenka, I'm not surprised you've been off plan, not having a kitchen. Good luck, you can do it.

Can you have yoghurt on an SP day? I'm sure I've read you can't, or shouldn't.

Have used 8 syns today, not sure if I should have the 7 as still also have my 2nd HEB

nomoreheroes · 30/05/2016 18:41

No yogurt on an SP day but I use quark instead as it counts as a P choice.

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 18:57

Gotcha. Never had quark before.

nomoreheroes · 30/05/2016 19:12

I like it. Had it many years ago in Germany where they eat it on bread with jam. You can mix it with a sachet if options for a low syn dessert. I mainly have it with berries and sweetener as a snack or light breakfast. I confess I heat the frozen berries in the microwave for a minute as I hate them freezing cold. And I should probably syn them but I don't. Ignore me though if you are against rebellious tweaking! Grin

Buttwing · 30/05/2016 19:27

You can have synned yogurt so just use it as part of your syn allowance. Muller light flavoured Greek only has half a syn so is a good one to use. Some people will say you can't but according to my consultant you can. She pointed out that you can use your syns for what ever you want, eg if you wanted crisps on an sp day you could have them. Same goes for using some syns on yogurt.

Off to weigh in, wish me luck!! think I will need it

fraggle84 · 30/05/2016 19:45

I lost 1lb :)

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 19:49

I I only have free yoghurt, so will give it a miss. I'm quite stuffed considering I've not had potatoes, rice or pasta today. Think I could do a few of these SP days a week.

Autumnchill · 30/05/2016 20:12

Dinner for tomorrow. Noodles, sauce from the Thai Wild Beef, baby corn, pak choi, Choi Sun, soy beans, cooked chicken, spring onions and fresh coriander. Just add hot water!

Emily how much did you pay for your Fitbit? Is it one you wear on your wrist or waistband?

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2016 20:45

That looks so lovely autumn.

DH has a Fitbit which he no longer uses. Was debating buying a smaller strap for it and using it for myself.

EmilyK83 · 30/05/2016 22:05

Well done losers!

Not sure how much my fitbit was tbh, my dad bought it for me - a subtle hint that I needed to lose some weight, haha!

Lemony - I read your meal plan for today and thought you were a bit harsh on yourself...bean on toast? Sure you could've had more than one... Wink

Hi Essex, nice start so far! Where in Essex are you? I'm a Chelmsford girl originally!

Hope you start to feel better soon Oriana...

Butt - I hate my thighs Sad I swear my cellulite was less visible when they were bigger..

Been out all day for a picnic with friends - managed to take my own food and just have 2 syns in the form of sausages. Tough when everyone around me was drinking lots! About to crash with my Kindle and my remaining syns and HexB - weigh in tomorrow morning and I'm feeling less confident than normal...

calzone · 30/05/2016 22:42

Nearly time for a new thread......

So, we have booked Lake Garda for 3 weeks in August. Am at target but decided to go for a lower target of 10st 7lbs. This means a loss of 10lbs. Then I will treat myself to a new swimsuit.

Booked a Sunday morning boot camp at 10am and going to try and do at least 3-4 SP days.

ChesterFuckingDraws · 30/05/2016 23:03

Can I join this thread please?
I've been a SW member for 8 weeks now and 13.5lb lost so far (little bit gutted as I was hoping it would've been more) I work shifts which my consultant has said won't help-I think she's being kind!
How did you all decide on a target weight?
I'm 5ft7 and initially weighed 14st 8.5 😳, my weight has crept up steadily over 8years and I can't remember the weight I was when I felt happy with my size, if that makes sense! I've set my target at 11st3 but that's still the upper end of healthy BMI and I think it should be about a stone lighter-I assume I can change target if I decide I want to?
At the moment I'm setting interim targets of 7lb so I feel like I'm achieving something since my target is so far away.
