Hope Calzone doesn't mind me starting the new thread- we've run out of room- eek!

Me new thing for this week has been cauliflower rice. Filling, doesn't taste too bad with strong flavours like chilli or curry but boy does it stink!

Hi all, just marking place on the new thread.

Haven't been too bad since Tuesday but out for Mexican later. Will aim for chicken something with rice not wraps. It'll be the booze that trips me up tho Blush

VodkaIceAndLemon · 22/04/2016 16:14

Does anyone else not really bother with breakfast? I can't face food until I've been up for a couple of hours, and even then I often leave it till mid afternoon before I have anything. I often have a skinny latte mid morning, and count the milk as my hea, and find that quite filling.

We're having omelettes for tea, with tinned tomatoes on the side. I have DH on SW too, and by default, the DC as well! Nobody is complaining though, lol!

Buttwing · 22/04/2016 16:53

Vodka I usually grab a banana as i walk out of the door.

I'm trying to be really good today as I peeked on the scales and I've put 1.5lbs on despite being 100% on planConfused

B-nothing

L-strawberrys, raspberries and a spoon of ff Greek yog

D-chicken and salad

S-1 hifi bar

EmilyK83 · 22/04/2016 17:06

Butt...are you eating enough? Your food diary for today looks like a day of snacks for me :-/

longlivetheking · 22/04/2016 17:22

I'd be eating my kids if I only ate that as well butt!

randomer · 22/04/2016 17:31

Calzone...that sounds dire.
After my initial enthusiasm I'm now talking myself out of this. What's the point? You are going on holiday. As soon as you are off it you binge.
Have to stop thinking boom or bust and more long term (forever) style of eating.

Buttwing · 22/04/2016 18:02

Oh Christ yeah I usually eat 5 times that!! The only reason I'm eating like that today is I'm hoping to lose this bloomin 1.5lbs that has appeared from no where!
I'm secretly hoping it's a big poo! !!!

EmilyK83 · 22/04/2016 18:44

Butt - you need to make sure you're eating enough otherwise your body will think you're being starved and hang onto stuff as fat! I'm sure I read that somewhere...

Just packed a delicious dinner of SW quiche, edamame beans, Alpen Lights as my HexB and a pack of chicken slices for my 3.5 hour car journey...no Burger King at the service station for me, hopefully!

ALemonyPea · 22/04/2016 18:46

Why not do a few SP days rather than eating less. Otherwise you're likely to snack or binge eat.

My tea was amazing. I bought some lemon and parsley salmon from Asda, it's free, and had it with veg rice. Nicest thing I've eaten all week I'd say. Could eat that every day.

KittyOShea · 22/04/2016 18:54

Was very pleased with my prawn stir fry and courgetti. Just as filling as pasta and tastier.

How many syns would you estimate for a cream donut with that false cream stuff? One of my 6th formers bought it as a present from the bakery at lunch time today and it would have been rude of me not to eat it when he had been so kind... Cake

I do sp days but I just hate the restrictions on fruit!

Anyway I swapped my tea to a huge prawn stir fry with noodles and a fruit salad. I'm out for lunch on Sunday for eldests birthday so I'm hoping to limit the damage with a couple of really good days before hand. We are going for Lebanese which is my (and dds) absolute favourite and there are a couple of things that I want to eat which are not very sw friendly!

emwithme · 22/04/2016 19:53

I can go DAYS without wanting a banana or a yoghurt. The minute I decide to do an SP day, it's all I can bloody think about. These days if I'm having a low/no carb day, I go old skool and do an original (red) day. That way I get two HEAs as well as the two HEBs. I've thrown a couple of green days into the mix recently too, which was nice (I had a fabulous macaroni cheese on one of those days).

It's been bloody cold down here today and the kittens are shouting at me to turn the shower off outside and put the heating on. I've told them I cannot control the weather but they don't believe me.

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, lemon drizzle cake, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Cottage pie, carrots, purple sprouting broccoli. Satsumas
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars
Syns: Lemon drizzle cake (2), cottage pie (6 - normally only 2 but DH is a numpty and didn't get the 5% fat mince)

randomer · 22/04/2016 19:56

anybody tried muscle foods......would you recommend?

ALemonyPea · 22/04/2016 20:04

Oh I love Lebenese food. There is a restaurant not far from me that delivers, and the food arrives on polystyrene plates covered in foil, all set out as if you were at the restaurant. Yum!

Have just had 4 Oreos, 10 syns, but were lovely.

maygirl · 22/04/2016 20:10

We had our first muscle foods delivery a couple of weeks ago . The chicken breasts are huge and really moist , the mince was nice too. The meatballs were very dense and on the salty side for us.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 22/04/2016 20:21

Checking in. Did cauliflower pizza last night and have farted like a hero all day...

maygirl · 22/04/2016 20:22

B Heinz lentils with 2 dry fried eggs
Grapes .Milk HeA
L pasta salad and salmon , pesto 1 syn
Choc biscuit 5 syns
D sausages 7 syns, cous cous, salad, harrissa 1 syn
Not had heB yet . Don't think I'll need it .
Have great weekend all .

EmilyK83 · 22/04/2016 21:32

Who was it who was talking about padron peppers before? Was it you, Basin? I managed to find some in a Spanish deli in Bristol today - 78p for 100g - bargain! Have obviously bought some, but was going to ask - how do they fare being pan fried in Frylight rather than copious amounts of oil...?

froubylou · 23/04/2016 06:35

Hello everyone.

Just place marking ready for Monday when I am going back to sw. No meeting while Wednesday but I did it on and off for the last couple of years. Read through my book again the other day and am looking forward to shifting some of this bloody fat.

I am only a couple of lbs lighter than when ds was a tiny baby and I was bfing. Aiming for a stone by 15th June which will be last weigh in before a weekend away. I have it to lose and I know it works pretty well for me initially. Just longer term I lose motivation.

Am actually looking forward to some healthy food. But this weekend I am splurging on everything I will be restricted on for the next few months.

See you all Monday for lots of eggs and salads!

Buttwing · 23/04/2016 07:20

Emily it was me about the padron peppers. I think that you really need olive oil when you fry them so I use the olive oil spray it's 7 sprays for half a syn I used 14 and it was plenty (enough peppers for me and dp) lots of rock salt at the end. They are soo good!!!

HuckleberryGin · 23/04/2016 08:19

Weigh in this morning and I lost 2lbs. Which is good, although only 1 in real terms because I gained a lb last week.

I'm a bit gutted though as when I weighed on weds I'd lost 3lbs.

Well done all the other losers

MeltedMoments · 23/04/2016 09:04

Hi everyone
I joined SW last June and got my 3 stone award at the beginning of December. Since then I've pretty much maintained. I'm currently at 3st 4.5lb but still got at least another 6 stone to lose.

I'm ready to get back in the game. I weighed yesterday and lost half a pound (but 4.5lb the week before!).
Breakfast was a bit of fruit but having an early lunch of bacon, SW sausages, poached egg, mushrooms and tomatoes to fill me up.

DH is at work until 8pm so need to make something for dinner that will reheat for him. I also need to do my menu plan for the week.

Nice to meet you all Smile

KittyOShea · 23/04/2016 09:08

Congrats huckleberry and welcome frouby and melted.

Can't decide whether or not to do SP today. Am gravitating towards not because I really want some yoghurt in my porridge- quark was just not the same.
But I've really enjoyed a sneaky evening slice of toast the last couple of days. Need to decide soon I'm starving!!

randomer · 23/04/2016 09:11

sorry I know its in the book....but how to go SP please?

KittyOShea · 23/04/2016 09:15

SP is:
1/2 plate speed, 1/2 plate protein
No other free foods (so no pasta, 0% yoghurts, rice etc)
1 hexa but 2 hexb
5-15 syns

I found it really helped my weight loss last week doing 3 SP days last week.
