Hi Wibble! I started in mid Nov too and only 10lbs down. But if I hadn't started I'd still be that size or even bigger! Some small consolation haha :)

Nannygrandma · 24/03/2016 06:56

Weigh in today completely fed up with myself

BasinHaircut · 24/03/2016 08:36

wibble and bendy, the way I'm looking at it (as I've failed to stay on plan for longer than a day yet again!) is that even if you maintain or lose half a pound a month, you are not getting any bigger and if you just try your best you aren't going to end up in a worse position than you are now. And let's face it if we weren't at least trying Then we would be getting bigger and bigger and then what would happen?

Losing v slowly is still winning!

But back to me Blush. We went to view some kitchens after work last night and so got in quite late. Was planning on chucking DS straight in bed but he was filthy so had to bath him and then he got a second wind and it was so late by the time he went to bed that I couldn't be arsed faffing with a risotto. So we got some takeaway from the chicken shop. It was delicious.

Trying again today but I know it's an empty gesture as DH is away on Friday night so I will 99.9% certainly get a takeaway. Plus Easter Sunday will be a write off, let's be honest.

DH is away for a boozy weekend (back late Sunday) so we plan to start again properly on Tuesday. Got friends coming for lunch on Monday and if DH has a hangover then no point in him trying to diet then!

DH has gained back 5lbs and still has a weekend on the booze to go yet. Thinking he might end up more or less where he started BUT hopefully if we can kick the secret eating this time round he will get back to his stone loss a bit quicker.

Think I need to work on lunch ideas and do a bit more for the freezer. I don't want any excuses next week. So if majority of meals are already done and frozen there is no reason to say 'it's too late to cook'.

WeShouldOpenABar · 24/03/2016 09:04

I'm down half a pound, still one pound away from that blasted stone award! dont see myself getting it this week with the long weekend again but will keep on keeping on.

what I say to anyone going slow like me is that that time will pass anyway , you will at some point find yourself three months in the future and at that point wouldnt it be better to be nearly half a stone lighter (averaging .5 pound a week).

between Jan and now I have lost 13 pound if I get another 9 pound in the next three months I'll be at goal by the time my first wedding dress fitting comes around!

namechangedtoday15 · 24/03/2016 09:36

Hello

Another lb gone hopefully although I've gone over 15 syns for the last 3 days. Hoping to stick to it today.

B : Defrosted frozen berries, FF yoghurt, Alpen light (HeB), Latte (HeA plus 2.5 syns). Extra coffee 0.5 syns for milk

L : Chicken caesar salad (no cheese, 2 syns for dressing)

D : Chicken in fajita seasoning, courgette, onion, peppers, spinach leaves

175ml red wine later, 6.5 syns. Total 11.5 syns.

Flossyfloof · 24/03/2016 10:26

Thanks for the encouragement and I do applaud those who are losing. I kno I have lost 4 lbs that I wouldn't have lost otherwise. I don't feel as focused as I normally am on losing quickly - but this is bloody ridiculous!!
Out for my first meal in 4 weeks and will be having a drink and sod the jacket potato - I am planning on chips and onion ( rings)for speed.
Outside of SW I would try to not eat for the whole day until this evening. Easy if I am not busy, but what is the SW advice on this? Should you still have brekky and lunch? I have some broccoli soup made so that is no problem.
I am eating a lot of fruit , especially speed and am wondering if that might be affecting my weightloss? I will try to sort out more veggie based snacks I think.
Made the baked oats yesterday for the first time they were delicious,
One egg
35g oats
About 3/4 pot Mullerlite Greek yoghurt
Sweetener
Almond flavouring
(One recipe I have seen uses baking powder but I didn't; you could also put fruit in but it would need to be synned I think so I had it on the side instead)
I mixed everything together and left it overnight then used a fry lighted silicone muffin tray , popped a spoonful into 4 sections and baked at 180 for about 15 mins. I think.
Really nice, I counted as one syn for the lot.
I usually have oats as my HEB and then a hifi bar as a treat at night, I think it might be better to try having hifi as HEB instead.

Flossyfloof · 24/03/2016 10:27

The onion rings bit was a joke, not having them I don't mean, but thinking they will be speed when converted in batter and deep fried!!

OrianaBanana · 24/03/2016 12:32

flossy I think the official SW advice would be to eat on-plan the rest of the day and have a thought to your strategy this evening - whether you want to just eat whatever; whether you want to try and eat to SW guidelines as much as possible without going mad; or whether you want to be strictly on-plan. The real point is to stay in control with whatever you decide, accept the impact on the scales it might most likely have in advance, and be back on plan from tomorrow.

OrianaBanana · 24/03/2016 12:38

Today I feel focused and on-plan Smile For once.

B - 2 soft boiled eggs, 1 piece crustless Kingsmill (1/3 HExB) soldiers, flora (0.5 syns), clementine, coffee (half HExA)
L - other two Kingsmill slices (2/3 HExB), cheese (half HExA), flora (0.5), pickle (0.5), pear, plum, mullerlight, pepsi max
D - SW Ocean pie (0.5), broccoli, carrots, squash
S - peach, Lindor ball (4)

That's 6 syns planned, may have some gin and slimline (3) and/or maybe some puft (3.5) as a snack tonight if I fancy them.

Tomorrow is a family day out so to try and avoid the pub I will be taking a SW friendly picnic - will try making SW scotch eggs. Anyone have any other picnic favourites?

EmilyK83 · 24/03/2016 12:50

Oriana - how about veggies and SW hummus? Or cooked and cooled syn free sausages? And SW quiche!

Still struggling with my migraine and ear infection today. Ended up about 3 Syns over yesterday as I just wanted chocolate, today I'm staying on track...

B - satsuma and WW free yoghurt

L - baked beans, mushrooms, leeks, ham, eggs

D - leftover ocean pie from last night, and attempted to make creamed spinach to serve with it, but using quark instead of cream...

Alpen Lights for my HexB, not sure about HexA yet. May get a skinny latte when I go out later, or may snack on cheese... Syns in the form of chocolate, as nearly always...

calzone · 24/03/2016 13:20

Breakfast was this......note that the token courgette was for speed and worked well.

Ive been so good today.

The manager gave us all easter eggs (I had to hide mine because I was so tempted) and the company also paid for a buffet for us. I took my own salad in for lunch and the only thing I ate from the buffet was 2 grapes. I love that kind of food too. Sausage rolls, cakes, sandwiches, crisps etc etc etc. So Im pleased with myself.

Hopefully the scales will thank me on Monday.

Also I bought some skinny jeans last weekend to go with my knee high boots I also bought. And I loved them. As a runner I have quite nice legs (my weight is mainly round my belly). Someone actually said it looked like I had lost weight. Personally I think that was the jeans. So Im now going to buy some more

Tonight's dinner - leftover ocean pie, with leeks cooked with garlic and lemon juice, and a bit of quark stirred through at the end. On a mission to use up stuff before a weekend with the in-laws!

Bendy - which macaroni cheese recipe did you use? And how is it? I miss super-cheesy macaroni cheese!

Emily.....use the cauliflower sauce recipe for the macaroni cheese.
Add your HEA and then syn more cheese if you want it.

OP posts:
DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 24/03/2016 22:33

use the cauliflower sauce recipe

Is there a quick link to this somewhere? I dont really like broccoli or cauliflower, but I do like both broccoli cheese and cauliflower cheese so this would be a fantastic way to get more speeds into me.

EmilyK83 · 24/03/2016 22:42

Thanks calzone! :)

Gruffalosgrandma · 24/03/2016 23:14

First day and a good day. 9 syns only.

calzone · 25/03/2016 07:55

I made the recipe up!

Boil cauliflower in vegetable stock. Drain, reserving the stock.
Place in jug and blitz, adding stock as you go, for the consistency you want, using handblender.
You now have a jug of white sauce which you can add cheese to. It's speedy and delicious and used for lasagne, macaroni cheese, cauliflower cheese.

Sounds yum calzone Smile

I have set a target and I'm only 5.5lbs away but it doesn't give me a healthy bmi. I would still be slightly overweight. I'm struggling to decide if I should go for more. I realise with everyone different weight makes a healthy bmi and everyone looks different at different weights. I thought maybe clothes size would be a better target for me to set (and change my weight target in group when I get there).
I started my Sw journey when I was studying to find size 16 clothes to fit.
Last time I bought clothes I was a 12 bottom and 12/14 top. I have always had big boobs so usually a size bigger on top. I have never been smaller than a 10 bottoms and 10/12 top so that's my target the moment but wondering if I could/ should aim for more?

What size clothes are you all aiming to fit in by target?

maygirl · 25/03/2016 08:34

Aiming to get to size 10, currently size 12. My BMI will still be overweight, but I'm short and muscly and weigh heavy!
Anyone tried any recipes from new magazine? The chicken katzu curry looks amazing!
