I lost. 3.5lbs Shock Ive been naughty too. I didn't expect that. Im now thinking that I must have been heavier last week than normal (water retention or something) cos I was surprised at how much I did weigh last week. Anyway. Im pleased.

The new magazine has a recipe for mint cheesecake. Sounds delicious. 6 syns a slice though I think our consultant said.

Does Quark taste as bad when it is cooked? Ive tried it before, but ugh. Also is there a way to change the texture of cottage cheese. Im finding cheese is going to be one of the hardest things and I would like to make more cheesy meals, but really dont like quark and cottage cheese has the most awful texture.

calzone · 21/03/2016 20:47

I love quark.
It needs flavouring and salt but stir through hot pasta and pesto and add roasted peppers.....yum!

Don't heat it directly.....it will split.

So - today's the 23rd anniversary of my mum's death. I went for lunch with one of my "spare mums" which was nice. I haven't dived into a vat of gin yet and it's nearly bedtime so it seems to be going well!

Today's food:

Breakfast: Berries and natural yoghurt
Lunch: Cafe Rouge! Poulet escalope et frites (chicken breast escalope with chips and salad with garlic aioli) and then Pot au Chocolate (dark and white chocolate ganache with raspberry coulis and cream) - about a zillionty syns but I don't care!
Dinner: Cajun chicken breast, rice and side salad.

Start my new job tomorrow so have just made three days' worth of tuna pasta salad for lunches. Have lots of fruit too.

Hay135 · 22/03/2016 06:23

Need a week 100% on plan so even though it's my birthday I am going to be 100% on plan this week.
Today's menu
B 1 weetabix 1/2 HEB and Milk 1/2 HEA raspberries and strawberries
L turkey casserole
T campfire stew and broccoli
Snacks, nectarine, plum, melon, Apple, hi-fi bar 1/2 HEB, babybel 1/2 HEA, and mullier light yoghurt.

Bellabutterfly2016 · 22/03/2016 06:37

Hey, I seem to have spent my life on diets but for me - slimming world really works as I'm not hungry all the time. My baby girl is 5 months old and I did SW while I was pregnant (as I have a high BmI and with midwifes advice) and I am 2 stone lighter than before getting pregnant so anyone doing the plan and currently pregnant or thinking about it - it can work.
My consultant has done 3 slimming world pregnancies herself and was extremely supportive.
I just need to be good over Easter as I love chocolate!!!!!!!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 22/03/2016 07:09

I have made this chart to track my losses until my holiday in Nov Grin It's massive and on the fridge so hopefully will help to keep me on track. Need to add more pics!

Today will be:
B: cereal (HEA&B), fruit
L: lentil soup and salad
D: not sure, maybe jacket potato, something easy

EmilyK83 · 22/03/2016 08:22

Nice idea bendy!! Hope it goes well!

Weighing in at 9.30 today, not expecting a massive loss after a meal out on Tues and lunch out for dp's birthday on Sat, but I've been good the rest of the week so would like some kind of loss Smile

Then food for today will be:

B - none (too late by the time I get back from w/I!

L - ham salad sandwich (HexB) with carrot and celery sticks on the side. Maybe a free yoghurt too.

D - cauliflower pizza using HexA cheese and whatever random toppings we have in the fridge!

Normally have a bit of a treat night post-weigh in, but as I know we're at the in-laws for Easter, I'm going to resist...

Kim82 · 22/03/2016 08:34

Morning all. I have renewed willpower today. My menu will be:

B - alpen light bar (half HeB), fruit

L - omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and peppers, Greek muller light (0.5 syns)

D - pasta bolognese

Sn - alpen light bar (other half of HeB), fruit, cucumber, cherry tomatoes. I'll have some syns this evening probably but not sure what to use them on yet.

HeA - milk in cups of tea

longlivetheking · 22/03/2016 10:40

1.5 off so just 1lb away from 2 stone gone. Booked next week off as start new job and not sure of timings and being able to get to a group

Katenka · 22/03/2016 10:49

So yesterday was off plan but a lot of Syns.

But I am back exercising as of this morning so yay!

Back to normal. Need to get home have a shower and make lunch. No idea what I am having though.

EmilyK83 · 22/03/2016 12:00

Well done longlive!

2.5lb off for me, so now 1st 13lb in 11 weeks. Really want that 2stone award next week!

Now means that I need to lose an average of 1.71lb per week to be at a healthy bmi for my holiday in July...

BasinHaircut · 22/03/2016 12:17

Well done for weigh ins today guys!

kat I know how good it feels to get back to exercise after a period off, bet you feel great!

Today is my second day back on plan.

B - weetabix and skimmed milk
Sn - banana
L - cauliflower and cheese sauce macaroni and salad (counting 4 syns for cheese today to be safe as I'll use some of the other half of my milk HEXA for teas today)
D - 1syn sausages (2.5), SW roast pots, carrots, peas and gravy (2 syns)

Might have a kit Kat for 5 syns later if I need it. I'm being generous with syns this week, but within 15/day to try and keep myself on plan.

emwithme · 22/03/2016 19:02

Well done longlive and Emily

Had first day at work in 5 years today. Am totally shattered, so it's dinner and bed for me now.

Breakfast: Weetabix (HEB) and milk (HEA), apple
Lunch: Tuna pasta with radish, celery, cucumber, peppers. Satsumas and apple
Snack: Melon
Dinner: Salmon fillets, new potatoes, courgette, peppers, red onion. Melon.

Hopefully tomorrow morning I'll be able to get a breakfast in that doesn't involve my HEB (needed to straighten my hair this morning, but will wear my lovely Miss Piggy shower cap tomorrow so it won't need doing!) so I can have my usual hifi bar supper. I really like the chocolate fix before bed!

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 22/03/2016 19:10

Just checking in for the day.
My consultant text me today to say well done on my first weeks weight loss. She also reminded me if I were to do the same again then thats my first award in only 2 weeks. Even though Id love to wake up skinny, I dont realistically want to lose it that fast. Just 1lb a week would be lovely and even half of that would please me.

Today I have eaten:
1 Alpen bar (half HEB)
Banana
Slim a soup (2.5 Syns) - I was really cold at work and dont drink tea or coffee, but its better than my usual hot chocolate which would be at least 6 syns as I have to have so much powder in (not that I can measure it at work)
Cheese (HEA)
Couscous (one third a syn - The pack itself was 1 syn, but I have split it into 3 for today, tomorrow and Thurs)
Salad for lunch - Lettuce, Cucumber, Onion and Chicken with some extra light Mayo (0.5 Syns)
Apple
For tea we had Sausage Stroganott (recipe taken from two chubby cubs) but as they weren't syn free sausages I had 6 syns for the 3 sausages I ate.
I will have a carefully measured hot choc later which will be a further 6 syns.

So thats 15.33333333333333 syns.

Ive also seemed to guzzle lots of water today (4 pint sized glasses at work) which Im not complaining about. There was once a time Id never drink water. It was always something fizzy so Im doing better now. Ive been building it up over the last 2 years or so.

FannyGlum · 22/03/2016 20:46

How much yoghurt is too much. I've had a mullerlight and a little Greek mullerlight today. I'm still hungry after tea. I'm thinking of another mullerlight - the key lime pie ones are amazing!

Rest of today:
B: banana on toast
L:reheated chicken tikka masala and rice, muller Greek yoghurt.
T:jacket potato and beans and cheese.

Snacks - Apple, mullerlight, banana.

FannyGlum · 22/03/2016 20:47

Forgot I also had a biscuit- 4syns

calzone · 22/03/2016 22:02

B.....fruit and yoghurt

L....minestrone soup
Yoghurt

D....chicken and aubergine bake with celeriac mash

Hi fanny, you might be hungry cos not had much speed food today?

Had lovely meal out last night with a friend I've not seen for about 5 years , I had sea bass with lentils and veg, hoping wasn't too many syns, as had all of those as wine.
Today
B beans on heB toast, tomatoes for speed
L butternutsquetti with a sauce from raw blitzed tomatoes, courgettes and pepper, with 1syn red pesto .Half heA low fat cheese.
Sn alpen light 3 syn
Run 5 miles
Mango
D Zesty lamb with chickpeas instead of cannellini beans in a tomato and spinach sauce, + cucumber. recipe from the Free Food Feasts book. It was lovely and very satieting!
Rest of heA milk in coffee
8 syns of chocolate
WI tomorrow, think it's a gain, feel really bloated 😞

OrianaBanana · 23/03/2016 07:01

Remember key lime pie and Greek mullerlights have syns Smile

Today I'm eating light as it's WI day and I'm really hoping I've done enough for at least a pound off.

B - mullerlight, coffee (HExA), apple
L - leftover stir fry - chicken, bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, onion, stir fry sauce (1.5), noodles
D - bits here and there. Probably cold salmon fillet and salad.
S - speed fruit and 2xhifi lights (HExB)

EmilyK83 · 23/03/2016 07:54

Good luck with WI, may and Oriana!

Today's plan:

B - fruit and yoghurt

L - picky bits from the fridge to try and use stuff up before we go away for the weekend

D - ocean pie plus asparagus

HexB will be bread with lunch, HexA will be a skinny latte. Syns to be used on chocolate Smile

Hay135 · 23/03/2016 07:57

Day 1 of this will be a good week 100% on plan went well I ended the day on 6 1/2 Syns

Today's menu
B 1 weetabix 1/2 HEB, milk 1/2 HEA, raspberries and strawberries
L - left over campfire stew and broccoli
T- fajitas (no wrap) mushroom peppers and onions and rice (seasoning if 4 Syns so 1 syn for my portion)
Snacks alpen bar 1/2 HEB, tea with milk 1/2 HEA, melon, Apple, muller light.

BasinHaircut · 23/03/2016 08:15

Ended up having a bag of onion rings before dinner last night as DH had to take MIL to hospital so we didn't eat till late and I was starving! So I'm saying yesterday was 20syns. Blush

So today I want to stay at 10 syns or less and hopefully that will compensate.

B - weetabix HEXB, 1/2 HEXA skimmed milk, Apple
L - left over sausages, potatoes, carrots, peas and gravy (3syns)
D - chicken and mushroom risotto, salad (1/2 HEXA cheese)
Sn - satsumas, banana, some form of chocolate (5syns)

Gives me 2 syns to play with, possibly a mullet light Greek (1/2 syn) later so still within 10 syns for the day.

Good luck to those weighing today.

Katenka · 23/03/2016 08:32

Good luck for WI

After a shaky Monday (I scoffed a load of chocolate after WI) I had a good day yesterday.

I think I need to take some fruit to eat after WI. It's at 9 am and by the time I get home I am starving and end up reaching for stuff I shouldn't while I am making something to eat.

This week was white chocolate while I made lunch. I didn't even really want it. So annoying.

BasinHaircut · 23/03/2016 08:33

Can I ask you guys something?

If you have rice or pasta (dried) as part of a main meal, how much do you use? I think I use too much so want to sense check.

KittyOShea · 23/03/2016 08:35

WI today and for the first time in ages I don't know what to expect as my bathroom scales have died...

I have stayed mainly on plan but a bit of bread and butter has crept in this week so will have to wait and see.

I will be happy enough if I maintain, disappointed with any gain and ecstatic for any kind of loss- the usual really Grin

Half dreading 6 o'clock...
