Has anyone tried quark in porridge? I like my porridge creamy and can't use yoghurt on an SP day. Was thinking maybe quark with cinnamon and raspberries (frozen ones defrosted so lots of juice) or would that be absolutely disgusting?

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 19/04/2016 20:41

Hi again, Im still on with SW (although had a bad week)

Ive tried Quark in mash and it was OK. Just made it creamy. Couldnt taste the quark as such. Im still trying to persuade DH that we can cook with it, but he's being a bit of an arse about it.

Like I said had a bad week last week. Ate out 4 times, had MacDonalds for breakfast yesterday (also WI day) and did no exercise at all. I put on a lb. So could be worse, but line drawn and starting again this week.

Started a new job today so didnt get chance for breakfast due to training, but my food diary is

Salad, 25g cheese, Hifi bar, banana and some chicken, ham leek rosti thing taken out of a SW recipe book with veg.

Tomorrow the plan is

B: overnight oats (now I know how when I can have my breakfast at work - we have to eat it before 9, before Id always eat about 10)
Morning snack: 25g cheese and banana
L: Salad and Muller Light
Afternoon snack: Apple
T: Not sure yet, something SW friendly

Glitter2707 · 19/04/2016 21:05

Well done lemony! I thought the sw sausages were horrible. I tend to just have a couple of skinless sausages at 1.5syns each. Have had a good day today in preparation for my naughty lunch tomorrow! I am looking forward to it though!

BasinHaircut · 19/04/2016 21:17

Mostly good days all round today then. Well done losers!

I had a mr whippey type ice cream today, hoping that keeps me under 15 syns but haven't checked yet!

BasinHaircut · 19/04/2016 21:20

Think it is about 8-10. It was only a small one and I resisted the flake!

FannyFanakapan · 19/04/2016 21:47

B: Toast, light cheese triangle (1) tomato, grapes, persimon.
L: Salad, pasta with cauli sauce and bacon, parmesan (1), berries and yoghurt.
Sn Alpen light (3)
D: Salmon stir fry and noodles. Kitkat (6). Yoghurt. Jelly and squirty cream (4).

HexA in tea.

SO a sugar craving day, but at least I stayed just inside the 15 syns.

Flossyfloof · 19/04/2016 22:03

Well I lost 1lb today which I am genuinely thrilled about. Got home and have had half a jar of Nutella and a few spoonsful of peanut butter to boot. Eating out tomorrow and drinking, no doubt. I am cross with myself because I have worked really hard to be on plan and my weightloss is so very slow - and now I am worried I will continue with this nonsense tomorrow. Hopefully not.
I have noticed a few people mentioning sausages. Even if you are a meat-eater, the Linda McCartney ones are really good, I think. Might be worth a try? No idea how they compare to operas sausages but they are very tasty, I cook a pack at a time and have them in the fridge as a standby (1/2 syn each).

EmilyK83 · 19/04/2016 22:38

Lemony - the Weight Watchers chilled ones are surprisingly good, and half a syn each...

Well done on the loss Flossy! Re: Linda McCartney sausages, the red onion and rosemary ones are free, and texture and taste-wise, I love them! Even dp eats them, and he's not generally a fan of anything veggie pretending to be meat...

Kitty I've been watching a blog on YouTube of a lady who does mainly SP days and she recommends these, they are quark yoghurts!

eeyoredebbie · 20/04/2016 06:42

Sorry that link doesn't work, they are called Arla Protein yoghurts

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 20/04/2016 07:12

Put on a pound. It was a bad week - survived on SW ready meals, eating out, biscuits and a lot of wine after a death in the family.

Back on it yesterday and today. Onwards and downwards....

KittyOShea · 20/04/2016 07:28

Thanks eeyore Grin

EmilyK83 · 20/04/2016 07:56

Hope you're ok Youre- think wine etc is understandable under the circumstances!!

Lovely sunny day here today! Definitely going to try and get out for a walk later!

Today's food will look like this:

B - fruit and yoghurt

L - leftover homemade pizza from last night (HexB and half of HexA), plus celery, radishes etc to nibble on

D - found a recipe for sticky five spice gammon (1syn per portion) that we're going to try, with noodles, pak choi and baby corn

Other half of my HexA will be for milk in coffee - will keep the Syns low after yesterday's weigh day treats of half a chocolate muffin and some chocolate covered honeycomb...

obrigada · 20/04/2016 08:01

Stayed the same at weigh in yesterday, only my 3rd weigh in. Was very disappointed but trying not to let it put me off, going to keep a food diary properly this week, and increase my evening walks.
Had SW fry for brekkie with rashers, tomatoes, mushrooms, egg and beans. Toast as my HEX B and 2 mandarins as tomatoes and mushrooms didn't fill up a third of my plate!

Flossyfloof · 20/04/2016 08:03

Thanks. I will look out for the other sausages. A loss of 1 lb, given my history, is like a stone. I am really pleased.

Flossyfloof · 20/04/2016 08:06

Obrigada, my loss has been really slow. There is so much emphasis on high weightloss every week that if you do maintain or put on a bit, it makes it really hard. ypircloss will probably show up next week.

HuckleberryGin · 20/04/2016 08:27

Slow and steady wins the race, as they say. Slow weight loss is supposed to be good for keeping it off too.

Hope you have a better week all round youreallabunchofbastards

Plan for today:

B: toast (hexb) marmalade and spread (3)

Sn: low fat yoghurt, apple, grapefruit

L:Jacket potato and pineapple cottage cheese

Tea: veg stirfry

Hexa- milk in tea.

I definitely, definitely did not do a mid week weigh in this morning....

BasinHaircut · 20/04/2016 09:54

Had a meeting first thing and got up late so ended up eating a croissant for breakfast in my meeting as I was starving! Blush and it was a rather large one.

Annoying but leftovers again for lunch so that will be on plan, plus I've got speed fruit for snacks.

Not sure about dinner yet. DH is out so might just have beans and cheese on toast as I'll still have both healthy extras to use. Got a couple of salad bits in the fridge that need to go today too

EmilyK83 · 20/04/2016 10:07

Obrigada - be careful with adding extra speed. If you're eating fruit just to make up speed and you don't really fancy it, it's calories you're having without really needing them. Always worth adding the speed to the plate first, then adding the other bits afterwards to fill the remaining space. Took me ages to get my head round the 1/3 speed thing (I'd just add extra speed on top of my normal portions of non-speed food), but doing it this way seems to work...

ALemonyPea · 20/04/2016 13:19

It's such a lovely day here today, perfect salad weather, so mive had a stir fry instead Grin

B: 2 dark rye Ryvita with sweet chilli cottage cheese, melon and pear with FF yoghurt
D: pork, udon noodles, peppers, mushrooms, courgettes and Chinese 5 spice stir fry
T: chilli con carne with rice. Going to have my hexa with it and serve with taco shells (7 syns) and shredded lettuce.

Buttwing · 20/04/2016 14:17

Hi all what a beautiful day!!

So sorry to here about your loss youreall Thanks I think the wine is totally justified.

Feeling down in the dumps today not sure why really me and dp not getting in brilliantly at the mo and he's been a bit of a selfish twunt meaning I've had to cancel a night out with friends I had planned tonight. Oh well I suppose it will keep me on plan.
My two babies are having a nap so I've just had a shower and a bit of a pamper also changed my clothes so I'm not covered in snot and yogurt! Always helps me feel betterGrin

B-fruit
L-chicken and bacon salad
D-chilli and cauli rice

Gruffalosgrandma · 20/04/2016 17:34

Sorry about your loss You're.
Chuffed to bits. 2 1/2 off today and my half stone award. My very first bit of bling!!

obrigada · 20/04/2016 18:29

You are right Emily about not adding speed food. I have been reading up on it this afternoon and it seems I should be replacing not adding. Thanks for your advice :)

Carnival · 20/04/2016 18:51

B: coffee
L: smoked beef, loads of salad
D: SW recipe Spaghetti Bol with half low fat beef/half quorn & sugar snap peas for speed.

Pilates tonight and a good 2 hours walking (lovely day!) & 2 hours housework today. Dreading weigh in tomorrow; over the past 3 weeks I've had a half pound on and 2 maintains, despite being almost 100% on plan with food, no alcohol and 3/4 classes per weekSad I'm hoping it's a plateau and I'll start shifting the weight again. I've lost 2st 1.5llbs since starting towards the end of October last year. The almost 100% was a slight accident with a huge bag of sweet and salty popcorn twice. Anyone else had a plateau and started losing again? Dx

KittyOShea · 20/04/2016 19:23

WI tonight and lost 2 lbs. couldn't believe it! Had a very bad weekend but the 3 SP days must have cancelled it out.

6lbs to go to target...
