Well done Kitty!

Carnival, do you often skip breakfast? Maybe have a big breakfast and a smaller lunch, that might help.

Ohmiigod · 20/04/2016 19:32

Hi! I'm joining slimming world tomorrow so thought I'd sneak myself in here!
Spent the last 4 days reading this thread Grin
I'm very excited and so far super motivated. I have a very basic idea of how it works more so after reading everyone's menus
I have quite a lot to loose I'm hovering around the 16st mark and aiming for 12.5/13 realistically
I'm returning to work in a fortnight after mat leave and I lost a stone when I started there so hoping it'll help again!
I'm still breastfeeding ds so not sure if that impacts? I have a terrible relationship with food, beyond terrible mainly veg. I don't just mean fussy I'm mean shakes and vomit fear Blush I was receiving CBT and counselling but I stopped I know it was wrong but I couldn't handle it at the time.
I'm ok with fruit, struggle with pasta but I'm going to try my hardest!! I'm fine with soup even big chunky broth for some reason so thinking maybe a cup on my third plate?? And blended in sauce/mash wherever possible!
It bount to be better than our eating habits right now!! Sorry for the gigantic post Halo

overitalready · 20/04/2016 20:05

Hope your ok butt Flowers

EmilyK83 · 20/04/2016 20:44

Awww Butt hope you're ok Flowers

No worries obrigada, hope you have an AMAZING loss next week!

Well done Kitty, that's brilliant!

And hi Ohmiigod! You get extra healthy extras when breastfeeding, can't remember how many but think it's a lot! And re: food issues, fingers crossed that once you start seeing losses it might help?

EmilyK83 · 20/04/2016 20:45

Also - dinner pic! Made sticky five spice gammon for the first time, had it with noodles, baby corn and overcooked (oops) pak choi. 1 syn per portion, recipe link is here...it was amazing, definitely doing it again!

With a bit of luck Emily! But I'm not sure, I can't even get the food near my mouth to try!
I'm loads better since being with dp (a chef Blush ) even mince was a no go then! I've always been stocky but it's more since having 2 kids in 2 year
I cook a lot from scratch but it tends to have plenty cheese or butter etc in we equally eat lots of Chinese pizza greggs etc so I'm sure I'll still loose a bit doing my best and exercising too
Group is 9:30am tomorrow Grin

emwithme · 20/04/2016 22:02

Good luck Ohmiigod. Have a bowl of speedy-veg soup before your meal and you'll be fine. The reason for having 1/3 speed is because those are very low calorifically, so if you fill up on those, you won't fill up on the higher calorie stuff!

I WI on a Thursday at 9.30, too. It's good for me because on the one hand I don't worry about "do I eat before or not" because it's up-dressed-out to group. On the other hand, since I got my new job, I need to leave group early to get there on time, then I've got college after work so I leave the house at 9 am (I'm on the social team) and get home between 8.30 and 9 pm. It's a long day!

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Cottage pie, carrot, cabbage
Snacks: Meatballs
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Was busy after work today, made a new batch of breakfast muffins for the next couple of days, then cooked cottage pie, and then made the SW lemon drizzle cake. Feeling very virtuous now and all ready for the couple of days ahead.

I am, as usual, hideously nervous about tomorrow. Was worse earlier...have been a little bit ahem bunged up but had a giant poo so now feel a bit better! I only need a pound to get my 2 1/2 stone shiny!

HelenF35 · 20/04/2016 22:12

Today's meals

Breakfast
Turkey bacon, scrambled eggs and brown sauce 1/2 syn

Lunch
Spiral used veg pasta gamberoni from Bella Italia (not sure how many Syns to count for that)

Dinner
Chicken in sauce made from reduced fat soft cheese (he) with sweetcorn, carrots, green beans and rice free.

Snack wholemeal toast (he) with lurpack lightest 2 syns

HelenF35 · 20/04/2016 22:16

I've just found the recipient for gamberoni on the Bella site which I'd have to count 17.5ml of oil for, the rest is free so I make that 7 Syns. Not too bad Grin

HelenF35 · 20/04/2016 22:16

Recipe not recipient, stupid autocorrect!

ALemonyPea · 21/04/2016 07:11

Good luck at your first group ohmiigod. You'll be surprised how easy it is.

WeShouldOpenABar · 21/04/2016 08:13

Made my Club 10! I'm about 5 pounds off the target I set now , I'll see what I feel like when I get there.

I'm away this weekend and will defo be eating and drinking, so next week will probably be a fight to maintain or relose it in the next week.

I ordered up a dress size for my wedding dress as the buttons were pulling, bit worried about that now , how much can a dress be taken in?

OrianaBanana · 21/04/2016 08:50

Well done WeShouldOpenABar! How did you get on emwithme?

I somehow lost half a pound last night, I have no idea how but it's motivated me. Unfortunately what with everything going on I am very unprepared for this week food-wise - I will plan and shop tonight. In the meantime I'm starting with the nausea and a cold, and I have a filling this afternoon (aargh Sad) so that will help.

B - muller light Greek blueberry yoghurt (0.5), pear, coffee (HExA)
L - speed salad with ham, no dressing
(filling ow)
D - probably a portion of SW fish pie I'd frozen a while back, plus whatever veg I can find in the fridge (if I can feel my mouth. If not, some leek and potato soup!)
S - fruit (plum, pear, apple, grapes), I left my hifis at home (HExB) so I will maybe eat them for dessert, or if I have soup then have some bread with it. Maybe a chocolate wafer (5 syns I think) if I can be good all day and I fancy it. May have salted crisps with lunch (8.5) instead, don't know.

Can you tell I don't really know what I'm doing??

Oh by the way I really recommend the Heck chicken sausages. I eat them for preference now. The paprika ones and the zesty ones are something ridiculous like half a syn for two, but I can never find them. The Italia ones are also nice and they're half a syn each. Love them, and they're great cold as a snack too! The Powter Skinny pig ones aren't too bad either, half a syn each, but I find them a bit too highly seasoned.

BasinHaircut · 21/04/2016 08:56

Morning all.

I've written yesterday off as it was just hideously busy and I grabbed chips on my way home so not on plan! (Well lunch was but I'm not sure that's good enough!)

Today I'm back on it.

obrigada · 21/04/2016 09:12

Can anyone give me the recipe for the speedy veg soup? I can't seem to find it on the website.

OrianaBanana · 21/04/2016 09:29

I'm not sure there is one? In my case I just find everything suitable in my fridge, sweat it a bit in frylight, add stock to cover, simmer then blend.

There's a lovely one for butternut squash on the website (I always add more garlic..)

obrigada · 21/04/2016 09:31

Thanks Oriana :) I am not great at making soup but will give it a bash this evening.

ALemonyPea · 21/04/2016 10:06

Well done on the club 10 Flowers

Have a banging head today, think it's the cutting back on Coca Cola. I've been having one 500ml of Coke Zero every other day, but haven't had one since Monday, so think I need another.

B: omelette with courgette, peppers and mushrooms
D: Ham salad with pease pudding and cottage cheese followed by strawberries and yoghurt
T: leftover chilli with wedges, hexa cheese and will probably chuck in some more speed veg into the chilli
Snacks: 2 Alpen bars for hexb

EmilyK83 · 21/04/2016 11:45

Well done WeShould!

We must be due a new thread in the next couple of posts...nearly full!

No breakfast today, oops. Horribly busy day and I just want to go back to bed. The rest of the day will look like this:

L - SW quiche made with eggs and quark, and filled with ham, leek and tomato. Chopped radishes and celery on the side

D - homemade tuna and caper fishcakes (a few syns for flour for frying), with sweet potato and butternut chips and some leeks on the side.

Alpen Lights for HexB, skinny latte (if I can ever leave the flat...) for HexA. Finished yesterday on 10.5 syns, aiming for 5 today - am away for the weekend and want to be good in advance...

Sounbelievablydull · 21/04/2016 12:36

Ok I'm back

Stayed the same last week boo hiss
But this week I have changed my wicked ways. No more mug shots - think they are addictive- have had same thing everyday this week
B I slice wholemeal bread 39 g with small tim of baked beans and a grapefruit
No lunch as I've been working long shifts with only one break
So dinner
Salad with tuna and low calorie dressing and afters fresh fruit salad
I used all my Suns at the weekend in champagne!!! Worth every one!
Hope this is going to work for me as feeling quite despondent have only list 11.5 lbs since end of January
Although I actually do feel slimmer strangely enough !!

HuckleberryGin · 21/04/2016 15:31

I feel good this week, I'm hoping for good loss tomorrow.

B: smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast (hexb)

sn: banana, apple, melon

L: left over stir fry and rice, low fat yoghurt

Tea: jacket potato, beans and cheese (6 syns)

hexa: milk in tea/coffee

KittyOShea · 21/04/2016 15:52
