Not as bad as you'd think Helen...

HelenF35 · 16/04/2016 21:11

Ok it's 13.5 Syns (well 13.33) so that's 16 total for the day. It's not as much of a disaster as I feared. Plus I burnt over 300 cals doing the run so fingers crossed for the scales on Monday.

ALemonyPea · 16/04/2016 21:42

Wow Em, you look amazing, do you get people you've not seen for a while not recognising you?

Hope your foot isn't too bad Helen.

I had chocolate today as well, 8 syns for a Malteaster bunny. Was delicious and much needed as have cramp and having a horrific AF.

One of the reasons I need to do this, I need a hysterectomy due to dodgy womb, but the consultant won't do it until I've lost enough weight.

EmilyK83 · 16/04/2016 22:21

Em you look fab!!

Just ended up eating ridiculously late because dp still isn't home from the rugby...would've eaten earlier if he'd let me know!!!

Going to have some chocolate shortly to compensate. I'm on 2 syns for the day so far so have plenty to play with...

HelenF35 · 16/04/2016 22:40

Em you look amazing, well done!

Lemony. Malteasers bunny is worth every syn! WinkGood luck with your weight loss. How much do you have to lose before they will do the surgery?

My foot is pretty bad. Bath helped temporarily but I couldn't get out. Ended up having to do some very ungraceful manoeuvres as DP is not home to assist. BlushHe's out playing poker and I've just had to text him to tell him I am going to need help with ds (9 months) in the morning so he won't get too drunk! I found some codine from when I had spd so taken that with some ibuprofen. Hopefully that will ease it up a bit. Took me 5 mins to get up the stairs to bed. Hoping ds stays asleep till morning! What a crappy day. Sad

maygirl · 16/04/2016 22:40

Well done Em!! Hope foot is ok in morning Helen.
B porridge heB, milk heA, spirilized Apple
Gym and dance class, hi fi 3 syns .Banana , Apple

RainbowDash11 · 16/04/2016 22:44

Hi all, can I join in? Joined slimming world 9 weeks ago and have currently lost 1st 4&1/2. I Have 3&1/2lb to go until me club 10 which I'm hoping I've made a good attempt at come Tuesday's WI.
First time doing SW after trying a few different diets since having the DC and honestly can't believe it's taken me so long to join up and find something that actually works for me Smile

Well done to everyone on their losses.

HelenF35 · 16/04/2016 23:19

Hi Rainbow. Welcome and good luck, I hope the scales show a good loss. I started almost 2 weeks ago and lost 8.5 lbs 1st week. I still have just under 2.5 stone to go though! ShockHad a Crap week this week so expecting very little. I loved the plan though, it's very easy to follow.

15 Syns on wine May?! This is exactly what I would have done if I hadn't had to take painkillers! WinkWineWineWine

ALemonyPea · 17/04/2016 04:53

If it's still bad today, maybe go to the walk in centre Helen.

Ideally, I need to lose 5 stone to be able to get keyhole surgery. It's going to be a long slog, but worth it. I've been awake all night, maybe had 3 30 minutes bursts of sleep. Hate being like this.

Buttwing · 17/04/2016 07:45

Em you look fab! What a difference! I'm feeling ridiculously broody too but we are done, I think having number five would just spread me too thinly though I think there will always be a bit of me that thinks one more would be nice..

Helen hope your foot is feeling better,I would definitely go to the walk in centre if it's not better today a 9 month old and a painful anything is not a nice combination I feel your pain!!

Lemony a lady in my group has lost 8 stone going from a size 24 to a ten it's amazing! And she's done it in 18 months, you can do it!!!

Welcome rainbowdash I feel like I know you already as you are my 5 year old favourite!! We have three of you sat in the breakfast table as I speak pretending to eat cereal!

Hope everyone has a nice day planned, I'm off to a kids party-must avoid cake, must avoid cake...Grin

OrianaBanana · 17/04/2016 09:16

Just ate some pancakes for breakfast Blush Not feeling terribly motivated and actually thinking about calling target. Not because I then get to go for free, but also thinking about how realistically it's not a good thing to go for weight loss now and don't want to talk about maintains/gains and how I'm going to pull it back next week in front of the group when they don't know I'm pregnant.

But then again I shouldn't need to gain much weight for ages and I really don't want to put on lots Confused

Also if I think about worst case scenario I don't want to call target and then be in a position where actually I'm ok to lose more....

HelenF35 · 17/04/2016 09:25

You can do it lemony. I lost over 6.5 stone calorie counting and exercising before. I don't have the time to calorie count now with my son so I thought I'd try this instead.

Foot much better this morning. Not sure if it's just getting better or if the industrial strength painkillers are masking the pain but at least I can walk! Grin

Today's plan:

Breakfast
Back bacon fat trimmed, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, wholemeal bread (he) and butter 4 Syns a little brown sauce 0.5 Syns

Lunch
Baked potato, cheese (he) and beans with side salad free

Dinner

Chicken Tikka Masala and boiled rice free may add a weight watchers naan for 5.5 Syns but probably shouldn't.

AvaLeStrange · 17/04/2016 10:12

(((Hugs))) lemony I'm sure you'll manage it - but be kind to yourself when you need it. I'm sure Maltesers bunnies are the absolute best remedy for period pain Grin.

I had surgery last year for gynae stuff which may make it likely that I'll hit menopause quicker. I've already got a severely under active thyroid so want to sort my weight out before my uncooperative hormones make it even more difficult.

Having said that, I've just eaten post-sleepover churro waffles with DD and her best mate. I did spray the waffle iron with frylight rather than using butter though .

Oriana could you confide in you consultant, and see what she suggests? Our really encourages us to let her know what our limits are and is very good at skirting around the 'how much have you lost this week' and target setting conversations.

CoffeeandChocolateplease · 17/04/2016 10:23

Not been on for a few days as work is getting busy leading up to exams. Well done on all the losses and congratulations Oriana!

I've managed to stick to plan again this week and have WI tomorrow so I'm hoping for another good week. I've managed two runs, I have a 10K race in June so I have to start really sticking to three runs a week now.

I've also discovered the joys of roasted broccoli! I'm not a salad fan, I love veg but like it cooked, and I found roasted broccoli to be easy and very tasty!

All the best to everyone for this week.

EmilyK83 · 17/04/2016 10:42

Hello Rainbow, and glad the foot's feeling a bit better, Helen! Being able to walk is always good Smile

No breakfast for me today as I got up late - making do with a cup of matcha green tea. Then the rest of the day will be as follows...

L - out at Loch Fyne with my mum and sister. Will be as good as I can but not planning on having any other syns today to make up for hidden butter/oil

D - Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages with mash, beans and salad

Alpen Lights as my HexB (may have one of those now, actually) - either milk or cheese in my mash as my HexA...

thelionsleeps · 17/04/2016 10:46

Yes roasted broccoli is delicious isn't it Coffee! I put it in a sandwich bag with a little oil and minced garlic to get it marinated and then tip out onto a roasting dish.

Well yesterday was off plan with some crisps and nigella nutella cake. Nice but not worth the eyewatering amount of syns for a slice. Back on it today and determined to have a good week as either sts or put on and gained the same llb for the past few weeks. End of spring holidays means I can get a bit more exercise in too which always helps to keep me focused.

Have a good day everyone.

inchoccyheaven · 17/04/2016 14:23

Congrats to all losers this week including me with another 2lb yay. I know it has only been 2 weeks but i have surprised myself at how determined i am being as ususlly can't do it for a day lol.

Have made the roasted tomato and basil soup for lunch which is tasty although I should have used less stock as would prefer it thicker.

Has anyone got suggestions for lunches to take to work please, I really struggle to know what to have. Thanks :)

Have also decided to use the wii for exercise on wii fit and just dance, and doing pretty mudder in 5 weeks.

calzone · 17/04/2016 14:48

B.....3 Linda sausages, mushy peas

EmilyK83 · 17/04/2016 16:30

I have no idea how to work out syns in today's lunch. Starter was grilled mackerel with a tempura oyster, Savoy cabbage and a little bit of kimchi sauce. Main was grilled salmon with courgette fritters (oops) and curly kale with seaweed butter. I may have pinched a few of my mum's chips too...but stuck to Diet Coke and water and didn't have a dessert. I'm guessing I'll be over my 15 syns so won't have any more today! Always tough to try and calculate syns when eating out!

emwithme · 17/04/2016 16:58

For something like that, Emily , I wouldn't bother! I'd just enjoy the meal, and then stay on plan for the rest of the week (maybe pulling it back to 10 syns a day for the other days)

Today I have made breakfast muffins and chopped salad veggies so I'm sorted for lunches Monday to Wednesday.

Brunch: Bacon, fried eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato
Dinner: Roast beef, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, broccoli (currently in the oven)
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Back to college tomorrow night. Really should crack on with my homework sits on sofa watching Red Dwarf

ALemonyPea · 17/04/2016 17:04

Roasted broccoli sounds yummy, might have to do some.

B: trimmed bacon, eggs, mushrooms, 1 slice whole meal bread (400g) yoghurt, pear
D: 2 dark rye Ryvita, philli, gherkins, ham with pease pudding
T: beef casserole, carrots, green beans, broccoli, mash, Yorkshire puds (5 syns), gravy (2 syns)

I think I doing great considering I've not had any sleep and would normally just graze all day.

EmilyK83 · 17/04/2016 17:26

Thanks em Smile Most days have been around the 7 syn mark this week thanks to my cough, will definitely be good tomorrow before w/i Tues morning!

ALemonyPea · 17/04/2016 19:34

A question.

I had 2 dark rye Ryvita today, and according to book, they are classed as a speed food. I also had a small slice of whole meal bread making up my hexb. Now, if I had 4 Ryvita, it wouldn't be a speed food, but is it classed as a speed food if I had the bread as well? Confused? So am I!

OrianaBanana · 17/04/2016 19:36

I think it's only classed as speed if that's all you have as your HExB lemony. I could be wrong!
