Ah I hate when the thread gets this big my phone can't cope with loading it .

1.5 pounds down and 1.5 off my stone. Not as happy about it as I should be because I'd been telling myself if I could just lose a stone I'd be happy and it turns out I've further to go than that .

Anyway I'm completely off plan today off to get massively drunk, happy paddy's day everyone xx

namechangedtoday15 · 17/03/2016 11:48

I'm doing this alone (struggle to get to class and hated it anyway) and I've been following it properly, upped the exercise, drinking masses of water. Have been getting weighed every other day (know I shouldn't) but today was the first day (after about 2 weeks on the plan) that I saw the scales dip. Given everyone's big losses when they start, I'm feeling a bit disheartened. I do think perhaps I'm having an odd week (water retention maybe) and will soon lose lots, and am still sticking to plan, just expected better results!

HemanOrSheRa · 17/03/2016 11:57

name you may be better off noting your weight loss over a month or so rather than weekly even if you continue to weigh every other day. I've lost 2.5lb this week (my first week back to SW) but that is very unusual for me. And I'll be very surprised if I lose that amount next WI. I am a very slow loser! In the past I have become disheartened when I stick to plan. But my consultant sat down with me, went through my weigh in book and pointed out that actually, over a 4 - 6 week period my losses do average out at 1 - 2lbs a week.

KittyOShea · 17/03/2016 11:59

Congrats heman that's great!

Happy Paddys Day ShamrockGrin

Name change going it alone wouldn't work for me personally- are you sure you're following plan 100%. I know it took me a few weeks to get my head around it

namechangedtoday15 · 17/03/2016 12:21

This is today

B - Latte (350ml semi skimmed) - count this as HeA (250ml semi skimmed) and 2.5 syns for the extra 100ml.
Overnight oats - 35g oats (HeB) with Asda Fat Free Greek yoghurt, 3 strawberries, handful of blueberries.

L - egg mayo (2 eggs, 1tsp of lightest mayo - count as 1 syn), about 70g wafer thin ham, grated carrot, grated courgette, spinach leaves.

D - chicken breast in paprika, about 70g cooked natural couscous, spinach leaves, fresh mint/coriander, pomegranate seeds, grated carrot, grated courgette, peppers. Might put about 10g feta on top (will syn it if I do).

Evening - will have a M&S COU mousse (4 syns) or a 2 finger kit kat (5 syns) most evenings.

Only drink water / flavoured sparking water (6 cals per 250ml - have about 500ml maybe so think that is free?) through the day. I don't snack during the day.

Did drink (prosecco) last weekend but don't think I was over my syns for the week. Ran 7.5 miles on Sunday, 3 miles last night. Do you think that is following the plan? Would be great to have feedback, thank you.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 17/03/2016 12:23

This gorgeous sunny weather is really giving me a boost guys!!! Yay! I just wish I could remain as enthusiastic throughout the winter to be nice and slim for the summer months.

randomer · 17/03/2016 12:35

just not a morning person so struggling with brekkie. Don't like soggy things! If I have toast I've used up my b very early. any ideas people pls?

OrianaBanana · 17/03/2016 12:48

Baked oats? Hifi bar and fruit? Hard boiled egg, mini quiches, heated up with beans?

I know some of these are HeBs but I don't mind using mine up so early to be honest.

longlivetheking · 17/03/2016 12:51

I often have bacon, tomatoes and beans with mushrooms.
I try really hard not to use my HEB too early as well!

emwithme · 17/03/2016 12:59

Another week, another pound off here. I'm now under 200 lbs for the first time in YEARS, and back to my immediate-post-wedding weight of three and a half years ago.

This week I have made lemon drizzle cake - a test run as I have friends visiting tomorrow and don't want to be too tempted into buying a cheesecake (and then eating most of it because DH is away this weekend). It was bloody lovely and only 8 syns for the lot, so if I eat it all, that's fine.

I have an assessment at college tonight so if that goes well I shall treat myself to celebratory fish, chips and curry sauce. If it goes badly, I shall have fish, chips and curry sauce to commiserate Grin . I have also just found out I've got an interview tomorrow morning too - which means a busy day today because I have no clue which box my hair straighteners are in so I need to spend the afternoon doing the cleaning I had planned for tomorrow morning AND finding them, because it's been frizz city here, which has been OK day-to-day but not for an interview.

HemanOrSheRa · 17/03/2016 13:56

randomer why don't split your HEB so say have one slice of toast or one weetabix at breakfast with fruit or eggs etc? Then you could have another slice of bread later or a hifi light bar later on. I often have half of one HEB and half of another.

red333 · 17/03/2016 13:59

Feel really disheartened, just been to wi and only lost half a pound. A loss is a loss but I've eaten well and walked 40 miles this week so was expecting more.
Came home and ate cake now feeling annoyed with myself. Sad

EmilyK83 · 17/03/2016 14:04

Well done losers!

Red - have you been drinking enough water and using your Syns?

Today's food for me:

B - scrambled eggs, hot smoked salmon and asparagus

L - leftover mash from last night with more hot smoked salmon, plus a salad of chopped up radishes, celery and tomatoes, and pickles

Skinny latte when out shopping earlier (HexA)

D - going to try this! www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/540824/slimming-worlds-spicy-hot-smoked-salmon-noodles - planning on spiralising the carrots in with the noodles, though.

Alpen Lights for my HexB, Syns will probably be Easter chocs. Bought some small dark choc eggs filled with amaretto cream in Lidl yesterday, worked out that they're only 3 Syns each...

red333 · 17/03/2016 14:07

Emilyk no I think it's the water. I can go all day without a drink. Going to go and buy some bottled water. Thanks.

KittyOShea · 17/03/2016 14:26

Name change that sounds like you're on plan all right.
Is 1/3 of your plate at each meal speed?

I find I lose best if I use all my syns on one day only and try to stick to 7/8 on the other days.

KittyOShea · 17/03/2016 14:30

Today's menu

B: porridge (hexb and part hexa) with raspberries, 0% yoghurt and cinnamon
L: butternut squash, red pepper and bacon soup. Apple. Orange.
D: Baltimore crab cakes from SW cookbook with SW chips and sweet potato chips, salad and stir fried courgette, leeks and mushrooms. Followed by Eton mess with ff from age frais instead of cream

Syns- 2 sugar in coffee, 2.5 meringue, and the rest on wine- I am Irish and its st Patrick's day after all GrinShamrock

Katenka · 17/03/2016 14:32

Just taken some photos of my in my underwear and I took some at the beginning.

I can see a massive difference. It's really helped spur me on.

Just so you know, these are for me only. I do not post them online! Grin

But just wondering if that my help spur people on. Take a photo now and one in a few weeks. Then compare them when you are feeling a bit fed up.

Also it doesn't have to be in your underwear. Grin

namechangedtoday15 · 17/03/2016 14:58

Thank you Kitty. I sometimes struggle with 1/3 speed at breakfast because I'm not great with fruit / I eat at work in the week. I do sometimes just have my latte with an Alpen Light so I know that is something I can improve on (having an apple or something). Lunch and dinner is always at least 1/3 speed.

I might have to resort to photos in my underwear to keep me motivated or emotional Smile

BasinHaircut · 17/03/2016 15:31

I wished I'd done that katenka, but I forgot!

Well done everyone! Even the small losses add up remember. I've decided I'm going to re-set tomorrow morning and pretend I'm starting afresh. Need to read something SW inspirational tonight if anyone can recommend anything online?

maygirl · 17/03/2016 17:18

Basin I joined SW again last summer after reading this blog, myslimmingworldblog.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1
She's now at target , lost nearly 9 stone on EESP, working in her choc, puddings and meals out into the plan Gave me a few good ideas.

AvaLeStrange · 17/03/2016 17:29

Well done losers!

Basin you are right about small amounts adding up - I've been a bit down that I'm not losing quicker, but actually what I'm doing is sustainable long-term which is what it's all about really. I could be more 'strict' and lose quicker, but I know I wouldn't be able to keep it up for long.

Thanks for the compliment re DD - I had to smile when she said to the GP 'Mum's really good to talk to, but that's not always much use when I need to talk about her' Grin.

Katenka sadly I very much doubt DH would engage with any kind of therapy. When things are going badly he largely tends to the opinion that if I lived up to his expectations there wouldn't be a problem Hmm.

longlivetheking · 17/03/2016 17:33

That's a good idea Katenka
I got some size 12 skinny jeans Xmas eve when I could just get in them but wasn't comfortable in them & I took a photo. I occasionally snap them now to see progress but may have to resort to an undies pic to spur me on for the next lot!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 17/03/2016 17:34

Hello everyone. It's become blindingly clear to me that my main issue is picking alllll day. Whenever the baby eats, I eat. Which is not good. He has his own baby snacks, his own full-fat cheese etc and I'm totally in the habit of 'one for baby, one for mummy'.

Any tips to break that habit? I'm eating perfect meals and maintained for the past 2 weeks (which I was pleased with), so I'm sure stopping picking all day will help!

Buttwing · 17/03/2016 20:11

Hi all I've not posted for a while but have been lurking. I weighed on Monday night after a pretty much 100% on plan week with three sp days and I'd gained half a pound I was guttedSad I was having a pretty horrendous period so I hoped it was that.
I've been doing sp since then and I've just weighed and still the same, I'm getting seriously fed up with it. I was seriously expecting to have lost at least 2lbs. Oh well onwards and upwards I suppose.

sleeplessinmybedroom · 17/03/2016 20:21

I lost 3lb tonight and got my stone award. Very happy considering I had a Burger King and had a bad day Monday. Just another 6st to go.
