Fruitloops and Wombat those are fantastic loses, you should be made up.

Fruitloops whats this defeatest talk its only because its your first week? Its 4.5lbs and you lost it. Before long you'll have lost another 4.5 and it all adds up.

I've got to agree with the comments on slimming world chips. They're a bit of a faff to make. I love the actifry chips, very low fat (syn free if you use frylight) and quick and easy to prep. Only downside being needing an actifry to make them. (They're £95 on offer at Argos from today)

Worryingwombat · 13/11/2014 22:33

Mis - thank you Smile I really don't mind making sw chips I am enjoying all the cooking at the moment! I am sure the novelty will stop though!!

Pitch - thank you! I am sure you could start again and keep motivated!! Come and live on this thread I will motivate u!!

They've (slimming World) just released details of slimmer of the year 2014. None of us are going to touch her weight loss. 20 stone loss!!!

She looks fab. Theres a little video on line. She seams like a lovely down to earth person who's got a whole new life from this slimming lark. It gives hope.

wombat your thread keeps coming up on active so I couldn't resist popping in to wish you luck and see how you are doing, even though I don't do SW :). Flowers. You are doing so well!! Not just the weight loss, though that's fantastic, but your attitude! Xx

[Oh and you might remember from other threads, it's not that my lardy arse doesn't need it, just that I'm choosing a different route, I'm low carbing]

Worryingwombat · 16/11/2014 22:54

Hi chipping thanks for hello :)

I really am feeling positive many who might read this like yourself will know how bad things got for me but I see doing this weight loss and my family support as a whole new start!

Its been hard and things are still not 100% but I will get there!

For those who don't know I will be honest and say things got very bad I am now aged 33 trying to deal with abuse I suffered as a child over 26 years ago and some days it is shit!

Through therapy since october I have realised I have used my weight my size as a protection I thought as a child if I was fat then they would not want me anymore that I would be safe that did not work

But I stuck with been massive as protection even when dieting before I have lost a few pounds then panicked and worried that my protection or shield would be gone so back.on went the weight and a bit more

I was slowly hurting myself and for what for them.in the past they are dead now for them to win!??

No way no more!! So I have great support and a team behind me supporting me in this wether it takes 18 months or 5 years I will twirl in a slinky dress one day and know i survived and I won!!!!!!! :)

Ok enough of the past!!

Concentration this week on speed and super speed foods I have based my whole meal plans around them more than ever!!! 4 1/2 lb to that first stone off and I would love to make it by the beginning of December!!!

Mini target :)

I'm so happy for you that you have been able to work through some of it to get to this point. It's incredible from where you were. There's still more to work through i know, but you can do it. I hope you can let all the weight go...you don't need it anymore x.

ChippingInAutumnLover · 16/11/2014 23:04

You'll do it this week I bet :)

CoconutAmericano · 16/11/2014 23:10

You sound very healthy and positive wombat . And very self aware! You have obviously worked hard to get to this point so well done girl, you are motoring along! You can absolutely let the shield down now.

I have been on plan for 4 whole days, also feeling strong and positive and ready for whatever the week ahead throws at me Grin. Lots of new soups to try too.

oneowlgirl · 16/11/2014 23:12

I didn't know your back story wombat so sorry to hear that but glad things are looking positive for you. You can definitely do 4 1/2lb this week.

I've made a parsnip soup tonight for lunch tomorrow, so if it's nice (& you like parsnips) then I'll post the recipe!

CoconutAmericano · 16/11/2014 23:17

Yes do oneowl! In fact if anyone makes anything particularly tasty this week it might be nice to share it here? Im always on the lookout for new recipes otherwise i get bored of my spag bol/ chilli/stew meals Grin

Worryingwombat · 16/11/2014 23:46

Thanks guys! :)

Did not mean to drag the thread down but you can see why I post lots on this thread it just keeps me on track!!! :)

Would.love the parsnip soup recipe oneowl!

OP posts:
ChippingInAutumnLover · 16/11/2014 23:58

You didn't drag the thread down! In time, if you go through a rough patch, it will help that some people know a little of what else you are going through x

Onwards and downwards Grin

Oh have you taken measurements as well, and photos? Measure random parts of your body and if you can, take photos of odd places like your neck and shoulders, feet, hands... It all helps when you feel like you're not getting anywhere cos the riffing scales won't budge!

FrancesNiadova · 17/11/2014 07:43

Wow Wombat, bless you -x-
You really are starting a whole new you.
Keep going & thanks for the soup recipes.

fruitloopsandfruitshoots · 17/11/2014 13:47

I made a lovely recipe last night, it's on the SW website, but i'll post it here too Smile

Salmon Pilaf

1 white onion
1 Courgette
250g rice (uncooked)
1/2 can of chickpeas (though I use a whole one)
Salmon fillets (I used 4 because it makes such a large quantity of food!)
Cumin
Tumeric
Basil (though I left this out as I don't like it!)
Petit pois (as many as you like!)
500ml vegetable stock

Fry the onion in a little frylight and add 1tsp of tumeric and 2 tsp of cumin. Cook for a few mins until softened. Add the chopped courgette, peas, chickpeas and petit pois and uncooked rice and cover in the veg stock and stir, then bring to the boil. Once boiling, shove in the oven on 180 degrees for about 20 mins (make sure the pot is covered with a well fitting lid) until the rice is cooked and stock is absorbed, then remove from the oven and stir in the chopped salmon (I cube mine approx 1cmx1cm), leave for 10 mins (no need to put back in the oven!) and the salmon will be cooked perfectly. VOILA! Done, EAT!

It is so yummy! I just had some cold leftovers for my lunch. Delicious!

CoconutAmericano · 17/11/2014 14:25

That sounds delicious fruitloop and as i need to include a bit more fish into my diet i will be trying this tomorrow. Doing a big shop tonight Smile

CoconutAmericano · 17/11/2014 15:20

I made a nice 3 syn lunch today. I boiled up some pasta. When cooked i stirred through 6 tablespoons of extra light mayo, a tin of tuna in brine (drained), some chopped red onion, a teaspoon of mild curry powder, some sweetcorn and some chopped red pepper. Omg divine.
