Hello, ashamed to admit am new to Mumsnet but got THE BOOK last week. Can't tell you how pleased I am to find an antedote to SHMNBN who I have tried to follow for past year but DS has ignored.

I laughed out loud on the stuff about 'bits' but particulary on the stuff about blackout blinds... I had been thinking it was just me but it seems not. Guess that's what this Mumnet lark is all about...

Thanks again for the book - it's brill. Anyone need copies of Contented Baby/Toddler?

I haven't got my copy get (must get arse in gear!) but am hoping to get five minutes to nip out to buy / order so I can read it!

I bought it and it's FANTASTIC!! Absolutely hilarious in places, so much so that I was giggling uncontrollably. Although I've read it before on here, the sweetcorn poo rolling down the road truly is a mumsnet classic.

The book is currently available for Nectar'points, though I think it's cheaper to buy directly on Amazon (under £8, compared to £11 worth of points - value calculated on what you can get off shopping at Sainsburys or Argos).

I am loving the book and PMSL at some of the names in there. Love it.
