I have gone to customize, chosen MN classic, clicked save etc and I still have this set up which thank you very much is not for me right now. PLEASE help as this is ruining my relaxing breakfast over MN while DS watches Thomas time! [panic emoticon]

Just logged on - cant read bugger all! so now switching off - to much hard work for a Friday afternoon!

Those of you who can't get a change to classic to save - have you tried logging in first. I don't mean just logging in to Talk but the My Mumsnet login where you put your email address and password in. I've just done that & now the changes 'stick'
I'm now off to see if I can change back as I actually prefer the new style.

and why does the last post keep going to the top but you have to scroll down to add another post? i flipped it, added another post and it un-flipped itself! now its at the flipping top again!

god, it's horrible - giving me really bad headache and painful eyes. I can't get it back to how it was

It's giving me a headache as well. And I've switched back to 'classic'!
I just get a large space at the top which sometimes has adverts, so I have to scroll right down to the messages, which are then too squashed up. argh.
Wasn't keen on the new look, I thought the old was much clearer!

The margins and fixed width are awful (sorry ). Now I can't change the width or typesize the way I want that makes it easy for me to read.

This is making Facebook look appealing

YOu can change the way it the messages appear (top to bottom or bottom to top) in customise.

you also have an add a message link next to every post (see right hand side of blue bar next to report). You don't need to do any scrolling RedOnHerHead.

I am not a fan of this change. I have a throbbing headache and I'm squinting at the screen to read the words (I'm using a 37" TV as a monitor!!!) It shouldnt be like this at all. When I typed into the address bar to go to mumsnet and this site popped up I actually hit home and searched from google, as i was sure I was on Bounty.

The colours are all wishy washy - the choices are blue, blue with a box, white out - major headache or purple. Not very imaginative.

The worst things I have noticed (as have many others) is that you can no longer read the titles of the threads withiut clicking on them - even when the last word could be the most crucial!! And the margins at the sides are doing nothing for my headache (btw can I send the bill to MNHQ for paracetamol??)

With a stark white background and wishy washy headers - it is not as inviting as it was yesterday.

I am a fan of the links at the bottom of the page and I like the new layout for finding topics better etc. Its just not my cup of tea as it is now - I would prefer a compromise between the two.

feck, this is rubbish....just tried to adjust it all back to it's lovely old good and it won't let me...

I was looking forward to an evening of mumsnetting, but I think I ratehr chew of my own arm then navigate this

God this is awful. I don't know why everyone is going on about margins, I can't even get the whole thread on the page, I have to keep scrolling from side to side to read anything, which is making me feel quite queasy.
We were promised we could keep it the same if we wanted. Lies, all lies .

I've got (a version of) classic but really need more contrast on the font colours for headings , poster's name etc. It is sending my eyes twitchy.

Really don't like the lists under each topic and Active Conversations though , looks very crude, nor not having the full list of available topics to select from.

My stuff was all bunched up but I clicked on 'view' (at top of page), then 'reload' (Control + R), and it has spaced it all out just like it used to be.

I am a convert now, it looks jsut like it used to.

My margins are all over the place !

hmm I have tried various things but think I agree that it needs more contrast

You know they COULD make it fixed width BUT do a light-blue BACKGROUND so that the white borders are light blue

ANYWAY I'm sure they've had a LOVELY day in the office
