I CAN NOT GET MN CLASSIC BACK AND I WANT IT

I have gone to customize, chosen MN classic, clicked save etc and I still have this set up which thank you very much is not for me right now. PLEASE help as this is ruining my relaxing breakfast over MN while DS watches Thomas time! [panic emoticon]

I can not get the old look site. Don't know if I am supposed to when I opt for classic but I still get a site that hurts the eyes.
I'm not going to waste a lot of my time on soemthing many people are complaining about - that's for the siteowners to fix.

In Classic the threads, log in box and search look the same but other pages are different.

Ooh, only just been back online after going away for weekend. Not sure I can cope with ths. It all looks really odd. I don't like change!!!

If you use MN Classic does the Active convos page stay the same (ie new stylie) or is it meant to go back to the way it was? Which is sooo much easier to read.

That is, the way it was is so much easier to read. As it is I have no interest in trying to decipher any of the threads.

I don't mind the new look. I'd prefer to see the whole thread title in active convos and to have highlighted which ones I've previously read, but it's not a big deal for me.

On the whole, it's ok.

I did defer to the new version and the menus/lists are better formatted but I didn't like the way the threads read !

The threads on Classic are fine and used to the menus just about.

However I do find the threads I'm on, actove, etc. more difficult to read. I find that it is hard to differentiate between each thread title and on threads i'm on it is hard to see where one thread changes to another.

Oh yes, and don't likle not being to see the whole tread title

Does it no longer change the coolour of threads you have previosly viewed/clicked on? I liked that.

It still doesnt work for me.......................................Im getting seriously peed off with this new look site..............MN FOR GOODNESS SAKE GET IT SORTED PLEASE SO IF WE WANT THE ORIGINAL MN WE CAN HAVE IT!!!!!!!

I'm not joking either - 24 hours more of this new look an I'm off, seriously. After dunamany years too. Can't find thread titles because same colour as latest post, adverts that push everything down the page, and have tried saving mumsnet classic every which way and it still doesnt work. Who's bloody awful idea was all of this?

i got rid of the ads by right clicking and selecting the option that blocks them.

Hello everyone, sorry.
There are a few problems at the moment as you've noticed:

1. the classic option button isn't working
2. if you opt for classic look it isn't faithful to old-classic (colours, text size, order things are showing etc)
3. there are a few other things that are functioning well in non-classic but not in classic mode - eg purple threads once you've clicked on them

all this, I promise, is right at the top of our to do list (some of it is BigTech's domain and some of it is NikitaTech's). We should sort in it the next day or two [everything crossed emoticon]

NB if the ads are pushing things down the page try refreshing, and/or saving mn new, then selecting classic colours etc (not the classic button at the top of customise - that's busted atm)

Apologies for the inconvenience - promise we're not ignoring you.

NB in the interests of full disclosure I should say that Classic will still have the new top (ie MN angels and top talk navigation) and be fixed width - ie white margins.
