Xenophobia, homophonic, transphobia

1000 replies

spstchmu · 29/06/2026 01:52

Are you gonna do anything about it? Like, i know the line is that shoving the madness in the feminism board means it's not transphobia. And I know it's been done to death but I'm sick of it. It's not acceptable. Xenophobia, racism and homophobia also increasing.
And no. I won't leave. This is the biggest forum of its kind and it needs to represent and respect us all. And care that it's not.

Do you read FWR regularly? I see at least 15 or so, and I haven’t read the full thread. I do think you’re focusing far too much on the word ‘team’ though. I prefer your other option there of ‘collective’.

If there's a team, where's my badge and invitation to the secret Discord/Facebook/whatever group?

What you are basically doing here is a) accusing posters of a level of coordination that we do not have, and b) telling women that we talk too much and in places that you don't like. Telling women that we talk too much or shouldn't talk in certain places is a silencing tactic older than dirt.

I see your digital shrew's fiddle.

Yes, polls consistently show that GC people are the majority. A democracy should reflect the majority opinion.

The problem is that people with minority views often look for other people that share these views and this is how echo chambers form. It then feels offensive and shocking when people disagree with the prevailing narrative in your world. I would advice you to seek out a wide range of people and engage in open and honest discussion about this issue. At the very least it will help you understand the true prevelance of GC opinion and why it is the majority position.

I know actual trans people is a start.

Trans people are a minority and are being further minoritised.

I can’t be comfortable with that.

How is being a minority a bad thing? Autistic people are a minority, which isn't a bad thing. What's bad is when we are denied civil rights because of our disability. What civil rights are trans people denied in the UK?

What does "being further minoritised" even mean? How do you propose to win arguments with words that don't have clear meaning?

Women are having their civil rights trampled to please a small number of men. I cannot be comfortable with that.

backformoreofthesame · 30/06/2026 13:30

I know actual trans people
some very nice people

but that doesn’t mean I think what they are doing is sensible ,or right . And I don’t think it gives them opposite-sex based rights.

its more evidence of the inability to step back and see the full picture - just focussing on individuals

I feel it is you trying to silence me. I’ve made about four or so posts on a thread of nearing 780. Your posts on this thread number many more than mine. FWR have their own board. FWR aren’t silenced by my four mild posts, and if they are, they need to grow a backbone. Just because you are “women” (and guess what? So are we!) doesn’t mean you can’t be criticised.

I know trans people too as well as people that belong to all kinds of other minority groups. For example Muslim women who have very strict religious laws that would be hugely impacted by the loss of true single sex spaces. I am not comfortable with that.

Ive known trans people since the mid 90s.

This isnt top trumps.

Chersfrozenface · 30/06/2026 13:35

I know four trans people, two trans identified men and two trans identified women.

One of the TIMs has had mental health problems since his youth and has repeatedly reinvented himself in an attempt to alleviate those problems - this is just the latest reinvention. The other one is awaiting trial for child sex offences.

Setting different peoples rights against each other is counterproductive.

Best place to start is with respect for everyone.

I quite agree, so women’s rights to spaces without any men in them then?

This isn't always possible. Sometimes there is a conflict of rights and one group has to be given preference over another.

The majority of biological women consistently state that they want to keep single sex spaces and not allow biological men into them. This includes Trans Women.

Transwomen want access to women's single sex spaces.

How do we respect both groups' rights?

Honestly, you are on a hiding to nothing. They just pile on and repeat themselves and can't respect that other people feel differently.

Look at the title of the thread and what it has descended into.

No respect for the actual title, just another opportunity to bang on about the same things over and over again while bullying women who disagree.

They even bullied an ACTUAL ex prisoner because she posted that trans women were the least of her problems while in there.

I can only conclude that they're all ex prisoners themselves.

backformoreofthesame · 30/06/2026 13:48

Bullied? Really? Is disagreeing bullying? Did you get the bullying posts removed ?

Interested in the answer to this perfectly reasonable question.

Of course we can respect other people feel differently. As long as the law reflects majority opinion and protects women's rights then quite frankly In happy.

You have voiced your opinion and other people have voiced theirs. There is disagreement. Why is it that you are the victim and not indeed the bully?

You don’t achieve anything by choosing one side and failing to take any account of the experiences and rights of the other. That leads to othering and oppression, which is harmful to individuals and communities.

Not one bully on here has asked me if I'm a survivor, but seem to think I should know, by some weird osmosis, that a random woman I am replying to is one.

It's really despicable behaviour.

How much taking account of the experiences and rights of women and girls do you think TRAs and their mates do?

She stated it many times. It’s one of the reasons that single sex spaces are important to her. Due to this fact.

Why keep posting? It isn’t compulsory.
